Do you go to your Dad's services? What was it like your Dad being a vicar whilst growing up?

I never go anymore, he only became a vicar when I was 14 so I never went to church until then and quit as soon as I moved out. Don't believe in any of it, it really changed my dad in to a bad person and so many of the other vicars turned awful too. Hate the church mostly but they do nice stuff like these boxes and charity and visiting lonely people so I like those bits.

I read the book the very day I got it,the artwork is amazing, I was a little disappointed in the story line, I wanted more. I'm gonna reread it though because with Alan Moore I always miss a lot of details.

And I used a mirror for the shot yes. I have other ones that I like too. Maybe I'll post them later.

That was the point of the book. It was supposed to be somewhat of a let down with the punchline.

I liked the punchline.

Really?

I felt like the book had this huge build-up, then the chase, then the capture, and then the Joker says he has to tell a joke and you think there was a bigger plan to it all, but not really - just a punchline.

I mean, I liked the book a lot. But I felt Moore did that on purpose to fuck with our heads a little.

Admittedly, I've only read it once and it was over a year ago.

Last time I read it was over twenty years ago. From what I remember, the Joker was really nasty and Batman was Batman (I'm trying not to give any spoilers). The Dark Knight reminded me of this book.

The first time I read The Killing Joke, I didn't get the punchline at all. Then I read it a second time and the light bulb went off.

Well, no, I didn't think it was funny, but I understood the "joke" after having read it a second time, that's all. The first time I was like, "what's the point of that? I don't get it at all."

Yeah, but I'm saying overall it was a bit of a let down. I liked the punchline but the back story was lacking for me.
