New Mods
So over the last year, there have been changes. We've seen a lot of members come and go. And a lot of mods too. I remember when I first became a mod, there were a ton of us. Now, not so much. It's really been hard to keep up with the site honestly.
Last week, Dennis asked me to come up with a couple names of people that I thought would do a good job helping out here.
I think everybody here is great for different reasons, so the choice was really hard. What I took in to consideration was people that have been here for a while, people that I have never seen get into a bad argument, people that always seem to have a positive attitude and try to make this place better, and people that have been pretty consistent with their posting.
So I narrowed it down to two people that I thought would do a great job. Dennis and Kirk accepted my recommendations. And the people I asked seem excited to do it.
So, without further ado, your new mods are:
IMKE
and
JAZ
Congratulations!
Awesome.
I'm suddenly glad for every terrible argument I've had here.
Very, very good choices, Pete!
Are they just GA mods or are they taking over other sections as well?
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
I think they will be site mods. They should be able to do everything I can do. I'm assuming. Not sure.
WHAT?? Why wasn't I asked?
Nah, just kidding. Great choices. Great people. Pete included. You're all cool.
NO
Okay... maybe!
Congrats Imke and Jaz!
Also,
Fuck this shit. *Flips table, leaves for awhile.*

It's like we all were just informed of the new team captains, without ever being warned that we were under observation for the job to begin with.
Don't I get any credit here? :-P
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

Great, now Imke and Jaz are gonna hate me too.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.

I just want to thank all the spam out there for making this possible and I hope to serve you cultists well.
Well done guys! Eliminate the spam!
Almost afraid to post here, haha. Thanks, guys! I find it to be quite exciting.
Great choices! Congratulations!
I figured Jaz would be a mod sooner or later.
radness.
Yes! It was Melody being proactive that got Dennis to ask me to work on it. I guess I wasn't thinking. I probably should have suggested more mods a long time ago.
I've never hated you! And I've been a mod for quite a while now. Is it something that comes on slowly?

About as slowly as a freight train.

Ban, girls, ban !

Yes, let's start with all those dirty French.

But you can't really stop a freight train. And once it hits you you're doomed. Your analogy confuses me Des.
I'm just saying it doesn't come on slowly from what I've witnessed.

I figured, I was just picking on you. Around here you can walk faster that the freight trains, and they tend to be 200 cars long and as soon as the end is in sight they decide to stop for fifteen minutes then back up half a mile.
Yay for Imke and Jaz!
Fascinating to me it is that a whole subthread has grown about how easily hateable I am.
Um. Does the above sentence make any sense? Does this?

Fascinating to me is that I'm not a mod.
Hey!
Remember when I made an ult account, Slingshotassassin, and I ran for mod with that account but got found out and almost became a mod myself and my avatar went from a slingshot to a picture of Mod from the Simpsons? Man I should be a mod.
I find neither of those things fascinating.

I was only talking about whether or not trains make good analogies for things.
This thread went off the rails!

Just dye your hair red and curl it...oh wait.
Sorry, please don't feed me to Jerry.

Maude.
you've got envy on your penis.

It's such as you every one of the was indeed simply well-informed of the new team captains, with no having ever being warned that we had been below observation for the job to begin with.
You don't say.

Why don't you return my calls, Jayden?
Well, this has been stickied long enough.
