My Drawings from High School
Just rediscovered my notebook of drawings from high school. I miss drawing. Going to work everyday for five years really killed my passion for drawing.
An Action figure I had

KMFDM artwork I copied

my picture of a man on fire I copied from rammstein's dvd booklet

From the cover of Tool's Salival box set

Another action figure I had

Unfinished drawing of another action figure

All I seemed to draw back then was action figures

A lady I copied from an ad out of Las Vegas Weekly

And finally, my attempt at a metal album cover

i love how the lady, from L.A weekly's page has been dog-eared. as though it needed to be found easily at certain times.
Finally someone noticed

Ha ha ha! Best. Thing. Ever.

My over priced big budget enhanced-by-state-of-the-art-computer-programs remake, which is nowhere near the greatness of the original.

The man on fire one is really good.
I'm digging through boxes and boxes of all my shit from years ago and shredding most of it, but I kind of wish I had a scanner. I found a bunch of sketches I made, and some collages that are pretty nifty.
ha you like dolls
"Everyday takes figuring out all over again how to fuckin live."
Dug up my pointillist grasshopper I did in art class during my senior year. My pen was running out of ink at the bottom half and I remember not giving a shit.

Here is my shitty collage. I think I still have it because my art teacher said she like the eyeballs and I had a huge crush on her.

I put more effort into scanning this piece of shit in segments and putting it back together than I did actually making it.

And here are boring as fuck flowers I did with water colors. Yawwwnnn.

But more importantly, here is the work I'm most proud of, my oil pastel portait or underground cartoonist, Robert Crumb.

which came from a photo out his coffee table book.

Of course it was never good enough to win at the high school art show which I was graded on showing up to.
I believe what won the show was an oil pastel portrait of Notorious B.I.G. Apparently that kid tried to sell it to someone for $90.

I really love the man on fire drawing. And as others have said, you should really start drawing again. You have plenty of potential!
I don't have the patience I once had to draw. When I started working after I graduated high school, my drawing days quickly faded away as did my attention span. After work, I'd be too tired to do anything creative so I'd watch TV or play video games. If I make any attempt nowadays, I attempt to finish it fast and quickly become discouraged when the drawing doesn't come out like I expected and I give up and watch more TV. I've already peaked.
