Yeah, cos his 'solution' was some retarded "ARGH I BEAT STUFF UP"... Wow, you're soooooooooooooo fucking hard. I'm afraid. Right now. Shitting myself. In terror.

jesus you really cant take a joke can you. that was a joke, yes i do have something to hit when i need to vent (its a thing called torso-bob its a guy on a pole that has a torso and a head). Yes i KIND of look like the kid in the avatar i had but there is a difference between KIND of and ALOT. my disorder acctually has no medicine i acctually have to live with this for the REST OF MY LIFE. Its not fun. I dont want to live with this but i have no choice. My doc said that there is only a 10% of me acctually overcomming this. So there you are still a dickhead

where did you get torso bob? where can i get one?

and disx, bane has a point. you say ppl can't take time out to deal with things themselves, but then he does, with torso bob, or whatever works for him--it shouldn't matter--and that's not cool with you either. so you're contradicting yourself. that was my original point.

a sporting goods store might have one only thing is there is nothing to support the head so you really cant hit it hard but the torso is good to hit. i dont use it to look cool, i use when im angry so i dont say something ill regret

Erm, no... I went off on CD mostly, but I also included ADD & OCD...

I went off on Bane, cos he's like "ARGH I BEAT THE HSIT OUF OEF STUF" - if he had just said "i've got this thing I have to hit" then that would have been different. Instead he acts like he goes around fucking shit up, and it just sounds stupid. And yeah, trying to impress people on a forum is lame, but that doesn't mean people don't do it.

I don't think people truly realize how bad it can get when they say things like that. It's not just feeling bad for a couple of days, and it's an actual physical problem in people's brains sometimes, it's not like it's just a feeling. It's chemicals in your brain that aren't working right making you feel like shit, not just a bad day.

Oh Kitty knows.

And for the sake of continuing the thread in the proper direction. I'm not crazy, though I didn't have a small bout with something I can only think would be temporary insanity. I was in a bit of pain when I had Salmonella poisoning last year and at one point I believed two things that cannot be in any way true, and yes, I'm serious about this: 1) I was black. I don't know why I thought this but I did. 2) That this disease was something that Whitey had given me to make me suffer for my people. No such relapses have occurred since the incident.

bipolar - 500 mg depakote

family history

mother - just plain scary.

father - codependent husband, whipped by years of feminine servitude and compliance. in short, scared of my mother.

brother - schizo-affective disorder
osteomilitus of the upper and lower mandibles
recovering drug addict
manipulative, opportunistic and downright knavish

paternal grandfather - likely bipolar - poet, actor, failed business man, died winter 1943.

maternal grandfather - very likely bipolar - inventor, metallurgist, perpetual tinkerer, violent temper and sudden mood swings, died winter 1975.

Antibiotics get prescribed way too frequently
I partially agree with that. The only problem is when someone gets sick, isn't prescribed antibiotics in hope of their immune system taking care of it and it just gets worse and spreads.

This happened twice to me. I had a small bladder infection off and on for a couple weeks, so small I wasn't even sure if it was one (makes you think it could be taken care of w/ immune system) well, one morning I woke up at 5am and was in so much pain I couldn't breathe or get comfortable in any position. The infection spread to my kidneys and I had to go to the emergency room and it hurt bad, even w/ Lortabs, for three days.

another time I think I must've had strep or bronchitis (just thought it was a cold/sore throat) and let it go...I ended up w/ pleurisy (infection in lungs) which feels like someone stabbing you in the back anytime you move.

But yeah. I wish they could fix it

cyrus, in case it hasn't been already done, you might want to have your thyroid examined / establish baseline. bipolar disorders are known to be caused (sometimes) by a faulty thyroid.

I have been worried that I might be bipolar, but I always figured my mood swings are too often. I don't really know. But I do have a small problem w/ my thyroid, which is caused by things I eat/drink. Like the aluminum in coke cans attaches to some hormone or something, so the hormone can't attach to what it needs to, which is my thyroid problem. So I guess, if I was diagnosed as bipolar (or anything else) I would be needlessly medicated.

That may be a reason why there's so much medication. People don't realize there are things in their life they do to cause the problems they have. Like not seeing the connection between the simple things you put in your body (or what you don't) that affect your brain.

Which reminds me. Don't drink out of aluminum cans. They're supposed to put some kind of safer metal liner in them, but they don't all the time. I had huge amounts of aluminum in my blood tests...bad thing considering Alzheimer's is hereditary (my Granny) and aluminum helps it along.
