Journalism Research Project
Hello, everyone! We're a group of undergraduate students at Northwestern University. For our first journalism class, we have to learn about an online community and interview some of its members. All of us are interested in the workings of the Cult, and we were wondering if any members in the Chicago area would be willing to talk with us sometime before mid-November. If you live in the area and would like to share about your experience on this site (and with other media), please send us a message!
You might consider adding "Chicago Area" to your headline. We have several of those here.
Also, I don't know if this would be better served in the Research forum or not. Maybe in News/Headlines or whatever that's called. You'll find the different subfora draw largely different crowds with limited overlap.

I am being interviewed Saturday. I intend to diss everyone! 
I want to be interviewed! Even though I haven't been here that long. I'm one of the few that hasn't been a part of any drama, though. That's an anomaly.

This is the first and only social network thing, outside of The Facebook and such, that i have ever joined. The social interactions and personas really were strange when i first started.

I haven't either, but I have chuckled quietly to myself as I watched it all go down. I had never seen drama without getting caught up in it before. Much more entertaining from the outside.

I'm not in chicago, but I might be down for skype chatting or something if it helps you with your class. I should warn you I tend to contribute in short bursts and then get busy and drop off the face of the cult for a month-ish, so i'm hardly an authority, but i've been here off and on for a while.
