i made a plum cake for my sister´s birthday. it wasn´t as fancy as jaz´s but i´ve been told it was quite tasty.

How do you make a plum cake? (that looks more like a pie to me?).
My friend picked all of the plums off of her tree and after giving away as many as she could she still has an ice chest full. I have a huge bowl of them on my table. Nobody knows what to do with them before they go bad without having to can them up or dehydrate them.
I know you asked Barbara, but I'll tell you how mum makes plum cake. She uses a fluffy dough, and the cake ends up looking like this:

it´s a dough made with yeast, so it´s quite fluffy and there is not really any filling. i just spread some plum marmalade and cinnamon on it and then put the fruit. my sister´s in-laws gave us a huge bucket full of plums so i made another cake today and i think i´ll try some plum ice-cream or just marmalade, not sure yet.
