It's 2012! January Picture Thread.
My daughter Haily moved last week, so today I went to see her new apartment. She moved to Bardstown Rd., which is a great place full of neat shops. It's a total hippie place and I love it. We had a great Girls Day adventure.
On our way to Haily's new place.

Her cat Devi=Boss

The first shop was full of some cool hats and an owl purse that I loved. I am obsessed with owls right now, and they were everywhere we went. The shops name is Cherry Bomb.

The next shop we went in called Dot Fox had some cool owl earrings.
We went to Natural Mystic, which I think Sarah needs to visit and buy the baby Kiwi these.

After all the window shopping we bought some Indian takeout and went back to Haily's to relax and eat.

We had such a great day. I really like her new place and her surroundings. Lots of things to do within walking distance. She is a little hippie, she is in her element for sure. I also made a purchase today. Check out my new Muckalucks. Dont know if they really are Muckalucks, but that is what Im calling them.

Sorry for the wall of pics, but I just wanted to share the adventure with you guys!
Whatever Whore!
That looks like an awesome day. So jealous of your daughter's new place.
What a great looking place for shopping. It looks like a lot of the types of places we have around here. And Indian food. Yummmm.

I'm very impressed with how nicely decorated her first place is!
My first few places had cinder block shelves, goodwill couches, crate and board coffee tables, posters on the walls, enormous speakers and a mattress on the floor.
Aw, very cool onsies!
I love those animal hats too.
What a fun day out!
Yeah Pepper, she is so in to decorating and she is very creative. She goes to lots of yard sales and goodwill stores to decorate with. She has made it so nice and cozy.
Chenoa the food was so yummy.
Jaz, I was jealous too. lol
Sarah those hats were great. I really wanted to buy one.
Whatever Whore!
Her place looks great, good for her!
Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a looongg weekend and I spend it with my girls. Took the little one jogging with me at town lake and she loved it. Everyone seems to be doing good.
Hope you heal up well Tuffy.
I like that little girl dress. Its weird I'm always checking out little girl clothes for Emma now. She has far more clothes than I do.

Sorry for the confusion Des.
Whatever Whore!
Its okay, I'll get used to it. People confuse me with their avatars all the time.

“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
I could be wrong but I believe that is awesome.
I think it's pretty, especially because of the rose and blonde in it, I just... it just wasn't what I expected. it's so dark...and blue.
I'M NOT TRENDY ENOUGH FOR THIS HAIR. I SIT IN MY ROOM AND READ AND PLAY VIDEO GAMES AND DO YOGA AND SKYPE WITH MY CAT.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
Shuttup Cammie. You will rock that colour!
Oh, she knows. The girl is three-quarters self confidence and one-quarter plush stuffing.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I just wish it was lighter. I think I'd love it if it was lighter
but then again, it's just hair and whatever. I just never thought I'd have blue hair.

Cammie, I think that your blue hair is way so cool and you'll look amazing with it.
but then again, it's just hair and whatever. I just never thought I'd have blue hair.
But it will lighten up real quick. Those colours always do.
belive it or not, I am not as confident as I am on the internet.
edit_ also believe it or not, sometimes I misspell believe

That surprises me, you seem so sassy.
But do you belive in leaf after loaf?
This is why we can't have nice things.
I think it looks fun. I wish I could pull that off and still be taken seriously.
who am i kidding, no one takes me seriously
That's two (count 'em!) Cher references in active Cult threads.
Cher trifecta is now in play.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Cammie your hair looks great and Sarah is right, those colors always lighten up.
Whatever Whore!
Thank you for sandwiching me in Cher in this thread.
Need I repeat what everyone else said? Oh fuck it. Yeah the blue dye will lighten up. I want natural sunlight pics please!
Also I have no life and completed a 1000 piece puzzle. Aside from not having a life I really do enjoy completing puzzles so here it is.

That's a cool puzzle. How long did it take you to do?
The last two I tried to do I ended up putting away before I was finished because we needed to use the table.
The white parts must have been so frustrating!
Are you going to frame it?
Sarah - you need to invest in a puzzle roll!
It took me a couple days. I started it on Tuesday I believe...so almost 3 days.
Are you going to frame it?
Sarah - you need to invest in a puzzle roll!
No, and what is a puzzle roll?
tada!

That's what I imagined but had never heard of such a thing!
I'm geeking out so hard right now and want to burst about puzzle talk but I won't.
My sister bought my Stepmum one a few years ago and she wasn't really that impressed. I think they look really useful!
I haven't done a puzzle since I was about 10. I used to do them with my Mum. *Nostalgia wave*.
What other puzzles have you done recently?

I tried to start a butterflies in the meadow puzzle last year but didn't have an open area to complete it. Before that I completed a Charlie Brown mosaic puzzle with a friend about 3 years ago. I've worked on a Winnie the Pooh mosaic, and a mickey mouse mosaic. I used to help my friend's grandparents on the puzzles they were working on while I would wait for my friend to get ready before school. They loved it that I liked puzzles and was good at it. My mom bought a couple puzzles from the second hand which we completed of a strawberry field, which was a pain in the ass, and a grayscale one of a couple kissing. I also had one of those 3D puzzles where you had to figure out how to layer them to make somewhat of a sculpted image. Yeaah...I'm a nerd.
Puzzles are awesome! Jaz, I like yours!
Puzzle epidemic! I've been surprised to see massive jigsaw operations in the past two weeks at the residences of four unrelated friends. Last one I did was probably age 7 or 8 at my grandmother's house. It was something like this but less juvenile.

"They sold you hippies grunge, hip hop, now liberty activism."
I like these kind of puzzles:

I love puzzles but my room is too small, so I always solve them at a friend's. Last one we did was during the holiday and it looked like this:

(not our actual picture but it was the only one I found of that puzzle)
Next one is a Praha building that looks a million times easier than the fish-scale house by Gaudi.

This looks a bit like Where's Wally...which is the shiznit!

I found this is true as well, about the road trips. I had a blue beta for about two years for the beginning of school out here, but the rides back to connecticut freaked him out a lot. His name was Oliver. My youngest brother found him floating dead one morning and was so sad. [I let him feed Oliver while I was home during breaks, kids love feeding fish.] So we buried him in our woods near the lake under a huge tree and had a fish funeral. I would love to get another, but my cat would eat it.
You should definitely make one lives to be five years old. You should get multiple and have little hanging wall-bowls for them. Beta city. I heard they also live well with those mini water frogs. [from Africa I think?]
