The funeral procession pictures gave me chills, then followed by Irina's picture I started welling up, almost cried.

Funerals are creepy.
I went with Reid to his great grandmother's funeral and all I could think was "holy shit I have never met this woman and her dead body is just, like, laying there."
And people were taking pictures of her and ugh. *creepyshiver*
It didn't help that the only thing the pastor had to say about her was that she liked fishing and playing bingo at Bojangles.
I avoid funerals. I hope nobody close to me dies.

Westboro Baptist plans to protest the Marine's burial today but it's illegal in Texas to picket within 1000 feet of a cemetery three hours before or after a funeral. It's pretty understandable, seeing as how picketing is pretty pointless at any venue. Maybe i'll take off work early so i can nail them with eggs.
Ignore them. They are only trying to piss people off so they can sue.
Counter-protesting them is great, but yeah, anything they can get you on, they will.

So this Marine from just north of where i live died in Afghanistan and his body was returned for the funeral today.
At first it was just a pretty typical procession
But then they got closer to my side of town and it was pretty amazing
I always think of where i live as a little shit town but it was pretty cool today.
