It's 2012! January Picture Thread.
Seriously, there are way too many attractive ladies here for it to have happened at random. There has to be something more happening here. I just need more time to figure out what it is.
Also,
stop copying me.
Not really. I love when you talk about Sagan.

Never!!
I've been saying Oh my Sagan for a year because it was originally Oh my self, because my friend and I were discussing if 'God' said oh my god it would say oh my self..but that was really more of a joke between just us two. Oh my Sagan just made sense, obviously!
I love him with the force of billions and billions of burning suns.

You are in good company. Fudge Camel and I share a pretty deep and burning love of Sagan(you should see my facebook page). We should start a fan club.

YES!!!! You should see MY facebook page. Cosmic lovelyness all day every day. I'm sure all the normal people get annoyed but I love science everywhere! Facebok is so ridiculous that's all I post anymore other than my photos - science & Carl Sagan. Personal stuff on facebook is so lame and overrated.

This Carl Sagan fan club needs to happen. I wish to spread my friendlyness with all Sagan lovers! Science & Sagan for all.

Now I can't stop looking at my Carl Sagan folder.

You're good at this. Anyway I made a thread so we can stop bothering these nice people with out thread-jackings.

Sorry for the [thread-jacking] / Sagan-rocking. [:

I haven't posted a recent picture in a while, so uh...here's what I've been doing during my break. I couldn't decide whether to put this in the science thread or not.

“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."

I like your face and your book.
Here are some more adorable squishy baby photos:
Blowing raspberries during bath time

Loving on each other

Grinning with his one tooth

And so that I don't just post baby photos all the time, here are some nature ones:

Also, my resolution is to take at least one photo a day. I started the year with self-portrait and these are some I kinda liked:

What an amazing resolution! 365 day photo projects are the best.
I really like the middle photo, and your little ones are beyond adorable.

Is that a good book? I love your hair.

Thanks! Your comment about the middle photo actually got me looking at them and I changed from the first to that one, on my blog. The lighting looks different and there's more fog in front of my face.

thank you, owl c: and it's so good! it's like an overview of tons of things--volcanoes, evolution, language, etc.-- and he really connects them all so well. not only that, but it's written so an average person (even a teenager or a particularly smart child) as well as a biology major can find it informative and interesting.
chenoa, your baby looks like tommy pickles and he's so cute. also you're beautiful and I love your nose piercing. I always considered switching out my lip ring for a nose ring but I don't think I could pull it off.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
You're welcome! Sounds right up my alley. That's all I read about along with politics and odd things. Next book on my must-read-list.

I like the nose piercing. It can be inconspicuous if I want it to be. I took my lip piercings out some months ago because they were irritating my lip and gums. I don't feel like they were really my style anyway, just someone I wanted to be for someone else.
Yes, definitely Tommy Pickles (except maybe with Dil's nose)

Holy shit your baby looks JUST like Tommy Pickles. I want to be best friends with him.

I'm sure he'd love you, he's a very happy baby. You could talk to him about science and balance stuff.

Yes, I really liked the contrast in it. As well as the last one with your hair. I love hair. I want to make mine super long and be ridiculous. If only it would grow faster!!
I'm glad rugrats came up. Definitely Tommy.

I like me the hell out of that baby person.

I love Chenoa's photos, especially her baby photos. That baby has the biggest eyes. I just want to pick him up and smooch him!

I also love me the hell out of this.

To be honest, according to that I'm what's wrong with the world. And I swear I've never even seen Jersey Shore.
Well, to be fair, Jersey Shore is forced upon you, where as Sagan isn't and he isn't in the media at all. Most people who are not highly involved in his beliefs/teachings/ideas probably have no idea what he would look like... like me, until recently.

This is a good point, maybe it's more so television & the media [in America] focusing on the wrong people is what's wrong with the world.
Which reminds me NatGeo & Discovery makes life alright.

Discovery used to be alright until they created a different reality show for some people from what seems like every profession in America.

I have no idea who that guy is, nor do I care. I fucking hate Star Wars.

I really like this one.
I'm glad you can appreciate that one. It's from a clearing on the mountain near my house. It looked so depressing since it coiled around some trees that had been cut and pulled up. I assumed it was just left there out of sheer laziness, which only adds to the dreary look.

discovery channel annoys the shit out of me mostly now, but they brought me through the wormhole and mythbusters so I let them slide.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
Yeahhh that's kind of annoying, I've been avoiding them lately, to be honest..
Yes!! Through the wormhole is brilliant, and mythbusters always amuses me.

! bleh/ew star wars. Carl Sagan is a lovely scientifically inclined human being.

Mythbusters

Oh, Yeah!
This is why we can't have nice things.

I really like this one.

There was an exhibit at my Library a couple of years ago of paintings and photographs of industrial items. Factories and rusty docks and lonely forgotten materials and such.
It really surprised me how much aching beauty was captured in these scenes.
Made me start to see the world differently.
Mythbusters is so annoying. I used to enjoy watching it, now I can't stand it anymore. My boyfriend ruins it as well, because every episode he'll be correcting what they're doing and how what they're doing doesn't actually prove or disprove what they're trying to find out.
This was my favorite shirt:

Looks improved to me.
This is why we can't have nice things.
How was the other guy's shirt?
That is always fun.
I need to find the pictures of my best friends work on me from that one time.

You should've at least brought the dented up light pole home so someone would believe you.
I don't know. I've seen some pretty vicious light poles in my day.

It looks like a fight. Somebody grabbed at your shirt. Couldn't have been a wreck, your chin would have been more fucked up.
I'm interested in what's happened.

I totally thought Owl was a dude, no clue SHE was such a pretty thing.
Oh well. Guess my secret's out! SURPRISE! Though I'm not that pretty of a thing but it's nice of you to say so. [:
Terrible, ain't it?
Bahhh why's it terrible?
Also, Irina, your dress is darling. You look cute.
Oh shutup. I feel like a real old fart saying this, but ten years from now you are going to look back on all those silly pictures of yourself, even the ones with funny looks on your face, and be all... Damn, I looked good...
This made me laugh out loud. Possibly. I hope I won't change into a weird looking creature by then.
