I enjoy oral anesthetics.
And I should probably see a doc about my neck. I can pop it around 10 different ways and usually they end up making my neck sore.

Wow. This little thread got CRAZY. People telling me to abuse my girlfriend, people showing an alarming lack of respect for women as a whole, people questioning my masculinity in some kind of bizarre machoistic pissing-contest. Hell, I even got called stuffy.
Oscar Wilde went out with "Either this wallpaper goes or I do". I thought that was a pretty good one....
Best one ever, though, was some officer in the American civil war (can't remember his name). While looking through a telescope at the enemy lines he remarked "They couldn't hit an elephant at this dist-" and collapsed on the ground with a bullet in his skull. Classic.
Bah.
lol. of course i like the time-honored classic, "what...is your favorite color?"
"blue no yellowAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH"

"What...is the average air-speed velocity of a sparrow?"
"African or European?"
"What? I don't know thaAAAAAAGH!"
I love that film. Especially the Black Knight. "It's just a flesh wound!"
Crap, I'm gonna be spouting Python quotes for hours now...
Bah.
my fave part is the monks who hit themselves on the head. i don't know why, it just always cracks me up.
dude. monty python quotes are cultural currency. that and kevin smith movies. a friend of mine recently revealed to me that she had never seen clerks. before swiftly correcting the problem, i asked her incredulously, "how did you survive through high school AND college without being able to quote clerks?"
there are very few movies you can say that about.

I haven't seen Clerks. Or Dogma. I keep forgetting to rent them.
Feel free to beat me for my insolence.
Apparently Elvis used to do the Knights who say NI! routine. Kick ass.
Bah.
But still...best Python quote is "I'm afraid I'm not qualified to confuse cats." It just works for every situation.
Bah.
::beats chosenJuan::
i personally like, "nobody expects a spanish inquisition!!"
and how could we forget, "PINING for the FJORDS!?!?"

Curse you. Always one step ahead. John Cleese though, eh? The man. Along with Christopher Lee and Vincent Price. And several others I'm forgetting.
Methinks it's time to ditch Captain Scarlet in favour of a Monty Python avatar. Like MR NEUTRON!
Bah.

One of those monks, i think third down on the left, was George Harrison of the Beatles.
that's gotta be an urban legend. show me where that's written (in credits for the movie, etc.), and i'll believe it. no offense.

Idle: What-ho, Squiffy.
Jones: How was it?
Idle: Top-hole. Bally Jerry, pranged his kite right in the how's-your-father; hairy blighter, dicky-birded, feathered back on his sammy, took a waspy, flipped over on his Betty Harpers and caught his can in the Bertie.
WOOOHOOO!! An old fashion burnin'! Let me duck home and grab me roastin' trousers
how not...to be seen...

Glad I'm not the only one with the monk thing. If there's one thing worse than having all your friends look at you like you're a geek, it's having that happen and realize that, since you're all watching monty-python, you must be some kind of uber-geek.
"This job would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers."
I AM THE UBER GEEK!! FEAR ME!!!

One of my favourites is; Right, here goes. When I was a lad, we had to get four hours before we went to bed... (goes on worse and worse for a couple minutes)
Good old John Cleese. Who's seen the Secret Policemans Ball recordings?
Hey Nature Boy, You're Looking At Me With Some Unrighteous Intention
Someone, probably.
Greatest prefixes known to man: uber, quasi, pseudo, hyper. As in: I am the quasi-geek. Pseudo-fear me.
Bah.
They're these pair of live recordings of a festival or something with the Monty Python crew, Rowan Ackinson (sp?) and that guy from Red Dwarf who played Holly, the computer, along with others (worryingly, Sting...)
Hey Nature Boy, You're Looking At Me With Some Unrighteous Intention
pseudo. definitely pseudo.

but why doesn't the umlat show on this forum? it's the best part of the uber prefix?
Über. Alt-0220. Or alt-0252 for a small ü.
edit: Joe, I just noticed your title...SLANE!! WOOOOOO!! And 3 days after Metallica as well. I'm gonna be rightly fucked for that week. With any luck, anyway.
Bah.
what's this i hear about metallica?

They're playing a concert here in August. And I'm going. Unfortunately I'll have to sit through Linkin Park, but it's a while since I've been able to get some good shunning going so I suppose that might be fun. There's always the prospect of beating up 12-year-olds.
Audioslave have been rumoured to play support. Oh, what fun we shall have.
Bah.
where's "here" that they're playing?

Ireland. I'll admit that my stated location is somewhat vague...
They're playing a load of European festival dates. As far as I'm aware, they're on a stadium tour in the US at the moment. Go forth and mosh, m'lady.
www.metontour.com
Bah.
Summer Sanitarium tour ( http://www.metallica.com/tour/ ). I heard that their new album is supposed to be their heaviest ever. I'm not in the camp of those who consider Metallica nothing but sellouts, but I still don't find myself all that enthusiastic about seeing them.
Beating up 12 year olds (or their fans of the equivalent mental age) does sound fun, however.
Audioslave is doing Lollapalooza this summer, so I'm wondering how they could do support for Metallica.
That tour's actually coming here. Nobody comes here. (Well, Great White did...but we didn't go to that
) We want to see one of the opening bands, but we don't want to pay $35. I can't imagine that concert being much different than hell though.

neither am i on both counts. i sort of see metallica up to the black album as one band and metallica since then as another. almost. although i have to say that though i like both of them (the world is a better place for their cover of "whiskey in the jar") i like the earlier one better. unfortunately the one touring now is the later one. ya dig?
