Sorry to waste a thread but i hurt my neck really bad in a car accident and i have a hernieated (sp) disk in my neck and the doc just gave me some Lortabs (sp) and i am really fucked up. Just wanted to let you guys know.

my fave part is the monks who hit themselves on the head. i don't know why, it just always cracks me up.

dude. monty python quotes are cultural currency. that and kevin smith movies. a friend of mine recently revealed to me that she had never seen clerks. before swiftly correcting the problem, i asked her incredulously, "how did you survive through high school AND college without being able to quote clerks?"

there are very few movies you can say that about.

They're playing a concert here in August. And I'm going. Unfortunately I'll have to sit through Linkin Park, but it's a while since I've been able to get some good shunning going so I suppose that might be fun. There's always the prospect of beating up 12-year-olds.

Audioslave have been rumoured to play support. Oh, what fun we shall have.

Summer Sanitarium tour ( [url]http://www.metallica.com/tour/[/url] ). I [i]heard[/i] that their new album is supposed to be their heaviest ever. I'm not in the camp of those who consider Metallica nothing but sellouts, but I still don't find myself all that enthusiastic about seeing them.

Beating up 12 year olds (or their fans of the equivalent mental age) does sound fun, however.

Audioslave is doing Lollapalooza this summer, so I'm wondering how they could do support for Metallica.

That tour's actually coming here. Nobody comes here. (Well, Great White did...but we didn't go to that Tongue ) We want to see one of the opening bands, but we don't want to pay $35. I can't imagine that concert being much different than hell though.

neither am i on both counts. i sort of see metallica up to the black album as one band and metallica since then as another. almost. although i have to say that though i like both of them (the world is a better place for their cover of "whiskey in the jar") i like the earlier one better. unfortunately the one touring now is the later one. ya dig?
