Me and my Cowboy Bebop fan over here can help you.

Are there any scenes in movies or whatever you would like made into an avatar.

Note:nothing to long, anything over 5secs is stretching it and anything over 10 is just impossible Smile

yes.

It won't fit and it takes ages(for me at least) to resize and format the images for something that long.
Ah, very cool! Jet Black is my second favorite Cowboy Bebop character, right after Spike. I can go make the avatar limits 80 x 80 if you'd like. I totally forgot about those. I'll do it now.
Thanks Zach!

I was having trouble making my original 200 x 200 look ok in 50 x 50. It looks much better in 80 x 80.
How do I put an avatar under my name?
Using the menus at the top of each Cult page: hit "Community" then "Profile" to get to your user profile; then click the "Edit Options" link. At the bottom of that page, press the button that says "Change Avatar". This will take you to a page where you can change your option to display an avatar to "yes", type in a link to an avatar on some other site, or upload one from your computer. The size limitations for avatars are listed earlier in this thread.

It took me a little while to figure it out too. But with a lot of help (like 100% of the effort) from R0BB23, I now have my all-singing all-dancing avatar.

For anyothername and murderkitchen:

Make sure that you are logged in. Since you have just posted, you probably already are.

Then, go here:

http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/community/member.php?s=&action=editavatar

Follow the instructions. If you have problems, come back and ask. If you have excessive problems, then try a support group.

You can post it here and one of the makers can resize it for you. Smile

Unless of course you want to learn.
Got it. Thanks guys. But how do i change pixel size to 80x80?
First, it doesn't have to be 80 x 80. It can be up to 80 x 80. So, you can do 50 x 30, 75 x 60, etc.

Most image editors (I prefer Photoshop myself) will allow you to change the image size. Just remember to do it proportionately, otherwise, the graphic will look squashed.

And if this seems too difficult, then as Rob pointed out, just ask one of us to do it for you.

You are not your avatar!

I hope the movie is damn good because I don't like to advertise, but I'm excited for a new Tarantino show so I did this avatar ...

Like I said I hope... Wink

I think Uma Thurman is great, but I'm sketchy on the matrix/crouching tiger influences the trailer seems to peek at.

Then again its Tarantino and hes one of the best at telling a story, through writing of course but also visually without the ohhs and ahhs of visual effects, but in camera cinematography that has been so great in his previous films...

lol, and this is coming from someone who creates visual effects for a living, Wink

I know I wont be dissapointed tho, its Tarantino!

Looking very forward to this one.

KILL BILL is going to rock. I have the utmost faith in Tarantino. Plus, don't forget guys: As big as you think Tarantino is into gangster films... he is much more influenced by Asian cinema. I've now read 3 biographies on the man and all he does is quote his endless inspirations for Shaw Brothers films, John Woo films, and anything with crazy wire work and samurai action.

So while KILL BILL may seem different to you then the standard Tarantino fare..... it's actually the most passionate and personal film he has thus far made. In short, it's going to rock.

And since Dennis works waaaaay too hard at this site and I imagine at this point his brain is totally fried (ha ha), I am not in the slightest bit surprised that he forgot to mention the most OBVIOUS of all the Tarrantino / Kill Bill influences.

If you haven't seen it yet, before KB comes out, go and rent Bruce Lee's "last film," Game of Death. Don't watch it; the movie was obviously released for money and is absolute crap (Bruce died before it was completed). Just fast-forward to the end, when Bruce (the REAL Bruce) is in the Pagoda, and has to fight his way up all the different levels.

You'll see the tracksuit that Uma Thurman is wearing (I think I read somewhere that they even had / used Bruce's original tracksuit in KB), as well as the whole Pagoda / fighting levels thing.

There's also... I can't remember the name of it at the moment, but there was a documentary on Bruce that came out a year or two ago that also had some recently discovered footage from Game of Death. That's worth watching, too. But only if you're hardcore. Like me Smile Big.

This is my first post on the new site! Was it as good for you as it wasn't for me? Wink

I have a small collection of avatars I have made. A few are pretty good: one from the opening sequence of Goldeneye, an Ed Norton punching himself, and Till Schwieger slowly coming into focus then flicking off the camera.

where Mr. White (harvey keitel) is shooting up the cop car with
both guns blazing. Only that shot.

Put them up! I like the idea of a Ed Norton beating the living shit out of himself on my screen... actually, just had an idea, one of the four "tyler flashes" at the start, before he sees him in the airport... someone wanna give it a try?

Okay, this is a total shot in the dark (and a sad excuse for me to post again!), but before I ask it, please take into account that I am the world's biggest computer retard and that I'm constantly on the very product that I would like a minotaur made for.

Can anyone make me a NYQUIL Minotaur? I'll send you a free bottle of NYQUIL if you do! (It'll be empty, of course).

Use a webhost and just link them.

Ummm if you have broadband, you most likely already have something you could host pictures with. Youll just have to find it Smile
