Hooray of the Day!
I have come to the conclusion that I enjoy westerns and war movies.
Good ! Do you have favourites ?

I made it to the gym today! Starting a new routine this week now that I have my car
I loved The Deer Hunter and Unforgiven. Enjoyed The Thin Red Line, Battle Royale, Full Metal Jacket, The Manchurian Candidate, Seven Samurai.. I liked The Quick and The Dead when I was young and only wanted to see it for Leonardo Di Caprio. Crime movies as well, but that was to be expected since I enjoy reading crime.
Apparently these two months of seeing recommended movies have helped me understand what I like. Before that, I could only say I liked dramas, but I've discovered some amazing movies (which I should have seen long ago).
Have you seen Tombstone?. Tell me you've seen Tombstone.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

I haven't, but now that I have only 4 movies left on the last list, I will. Sounds interesting enough.
Also you must see every movie with Bogart above the title.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
I haven't seen any of his films. If I do, I'll probably start with The Maltese Falcon because I loved the book.
Saw a documentary a few weeks ago about that. I don't remember the details and I'm not familiar with the all the biology of it but the gist is... there are people who were exposed to the plague and either showed symptoms for a while and then made miraculous recoveries... and also people who were exposed (some were even regularly handling the dead bodies) and never even got the least bit sick. So years later, by testing some direct decedents of those survivors, they decided they found some mutation in their DNA (this CCR5 thing) that makes them either able to bounce back or completely immune to the plague and HIV because although one of those is a virus and the other a bacteria thing, they all sort of attack immune system the same way or some crazy shit like that.
I think according to that wikipedia link, they cured someone's HIV on accident while giving him a bone marrow transplant (that happened to have that mutation) to help him with his cancer.
After hearing that, I'm kind of surprised they still can't cure HIV in everyone. But I guess science is hard or something.
Anyhow, I just wanted to share my good news with you guys. Hopefully this nausea will calm down and I will feel more like posting.
That's awesome. You're awesome.
I have finally found this brush! And it was really cheap, too. I've been coveting one for ages, it helps when you want to use eye shadow instead of eyeliner.

Those are handy!
Thanks Jess. You're pretty awesome yourself! I always like reading your post. You make me really LOL quite often.
Whatever Whore!
- Easter lunch at work today! That's going to be fun and yummy.
- Going to the movies tonight! It's been awhile, because of the lack of interesting movies playing, but we're going to see the Danish movie I mentioned in the movie talk thread.
- Starting the weekend knowing that I'll only have to work a couple days next week, yay!
my husband brought me some flowers

I need to learn to do that once in a while.
i can only recommend it, especially when there isn't really a special occasion.
Flowers are very good things to be given.
Especially often and just because.
Flowers just because are the most brilliant thing. I love it when I do it for myself, I'd love it even more if someone did it for me.
So, Pete, go get some flowers tonight.
Pica, that's gorgeous!
Last summer, when I did my veggie booth at the end of the road, I made a cut flower garden. I would cut a bunch of flowers and take them to the booth. I bought a couple of cases of the small jelly jars for canning and after setting up the booth I would make flower arrangements for the jelly jars. They were so pretty and I sold them for $2 a piece, but if you were at the booth at closing, man or woman, I sent you home with a bouquet for free. I know the women probably enjoyed those bouquets that were sent home with the men. I can't wait to start my booth back up this summer. I'm planing my garden right now. One of the flowers I'm having this year are Dahlias. I wish you Guys lived close, I would be giving you fresh bouquets all summer
Whatever Whore!
Winnie, can't wait to see your pictures of your flower stand.
That's so cool
Well actually it was a heirloom tomatoe stand. I grew 6 different varieties of heirloom tomatoes. I had 6 plants for each variety, 36 plants in all. Tomatoes out my ears. I also sold the flower bouquets, really cute aprons that I made, hemp jewelry, potholders and other crocheted items, like house boots. All of these things I made. I really enjoyed it. I didn't have a booming buisness, but it was good enough, and I hope buisness increases this year. I ordered one of those squares that you attach to your phone that allows you to take debit cards, so I'm hoping that will help. But yeah, I'm just getting ready to start my seeds indoors and in the midst of making things.
Whatever Whore!
The idea of you doing that makes me happy.
Guys, guys! ... I didn't find the right girl and whatever, but... guys... my second threesome in my life, and the first satisfying threesome ever! The highest of fives is requested...

Si vis pacem, para bellum
FMF? Good job anyway!
Of course, FMF. The devil's threesome is never something I'd cheer about.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
And thanks! It took... quite the effort, honestly.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Saturday morning 10 AM: Already worked out and cleaned the apartment. So productive and loving it.
Threesomes, eh? You're getting there.

I got more than 8 hours of sleep finally. Even though I had some intense dreams I actually slept better than I have for the past couple weeks.
Ah Jes, you have no idea how happy it makes me. I love it. All the planting, sewing and making of things is truly my HAPPY PLACE! ❤

What was the difference? I mean, it's still an odd number so the math doesn't add up to anything good to me.

Awww, that's so great. Do you do this every year?
Winnie, those Square card scanners are awesome. I love working with it.
Well Jes I plan to do this every year. Last year was my first. I set up at the end of our road. My Mother In Law owns the field there, which has a super busy State Road that runs in front of it. I set up on Tuesday and Thursay 5 to 8 and Saturdays 8 to 1. I meet all kinds of new people and my friends stop by, which I always have extra chairs for and we hang and visit and we all meet new people. Even at the times I'm slow, I just enjoy visiting with everyone. But yes, I plan to do this every year and really turn it into a small business.
Hey Sema, that makes me HAPPY! I'm excited to have that square. I really did miss out on some sales last year because not everyone carries cash on them. I know I don't. So yeah, I'm glad to hear a good review from you about it.
Whatever Whore!
Oh my gosh, they are the coolest things ever. After you hit the register app, and it pops up, you can check, by pulling out the tiny grey tab on the left hand of the screen, all the transactions.
And a credit card purchase is not valid, unless the person signs. Even if it says approved. If you have any questions about it, ask me. And what I don't know, my boss will tell me. She is the best business person - man or woman - that I've ever met in my life. She is meticulous about money and being fair to everyone on both side of register.
I have a story about some really really nasty guys I never met before that tried to get me to join the MMF threeway (which would have made it a fourway) they were having down the block but taking a brief break from so the girl could put her kid that woke up back to sleep.
Yeah. Let exactly how much that is wrong with that summery sink in for a minute.
I don't have the energy to type the rest out. Except that they almost got their asses kicked by James and a few others.
MFFF.
Been quite some years ago now, but on occasion it still makes me grin that stupid grin.

What happens if I get there? Can I get a bottle of Absinthe?
Definitely high enough pete. That five's coked out of it's mind.
@jes
Maybe when we hang out, I'll tell you the story. That might be tomorrow, actually.
@tuffy
As happy smug as that would make me, I hope I meet someone that makes me happier without it. /sappysapsap

But I hope that will earn me champagne instead.

Jaz, if you have a foursome with three other women, I will send you all the absinthe.
But I'm going to require photographic proof.

It's scary that I can actually make that happen. Too bad I'm not into women.
You making three men happen would be far too easy.

I'd love to make one man happen right about now.
Easiest thing in the world.

I think Irina's problem is a combination of being an extreme introvert coupled with high, though sometimes odd, standards.
So perhaps not so easy for her. I suspect if I were to become single I would have similar problems. Knowledge and confidence that I could find someone just for fun anytime I wanted, but not necessarily caring for any of those someones easily around.
Anyway, a Hooray I have, though not of today, we found the most interesting antique shop. It was like a labyrinth and filled to the brim with beautiful displays and interesting things.
There were many treasures, and I had so many ideas for art I could make from some of the things. Of course there were many things that one may be duped into thinking were older or of higher value than actuality, but there were also many many very cool very old items.
I look forward to visiting the place again.
I love a good antique or even thrift store that holds those hidden treasures
And like you said, things that you can make into something wonderful.
Whatever Whore!

Finished my essays. Ugh. I already handed it in online so I don't ever have to think about it again. Hooray! Also my cold is so much better today.
