Hooray of the Day!
All is temporarily filed in the back of my head for later. Will sort it out, over the next few months.
Go Melody!
Good luck.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Thanks, Tuffy.
My work is all cut out for me...
I will start with the ideal physical organization of the house, to counter act the cluttered desk/cluttered mind effect. Because now that he's back, some of the stuff in the condo has to go. Then have a talk with him. And he is always open to a marriage counselor- so that helps.
The baby is over the moon. She cries, even if it's to take trash out.
Issy didn't even cry when I went to the post office, and left her with her pops. She is ecstatic.
Tomorrow is my birthday and a couple of friends and myself are going to this really cool town to walk and shop around and it'll be really fun. I'm kind of upset because my best friend can't go but for completely understandable reasons but it's ok. It should be a lot of fun regardless.
..
..
ahh never mind, we don't need my ramblings all over here.
We got our semester timetable and I'm gonna study with my two favourite professors! And we no longer have a break between classes (which is kind of a buzzkill, it means no more sitting at the restaurant with the rascals), and have Tuesdays off instead of Fridays.
Second hooray is that my dad got a free meal voucher for a Chinese restaurant and he gave it to me. I can have Sichuan veggies + Rice with vegetables, Jang Yu beef + the restaurant's rice recipe, or Sweet-sour chicken + plain rice. I think I'll go for beef, I already tried the chicken.
Your post made me realise I miss hearing you talk about school.
Well, I haven't been talking about school in a while because I've been on holiday for the past 4 weeks. And now it's been extended one more week and I miss it.
I know. I pay attention to the things you write, because I like you.
I went to see Frightened Rabbit yesterday, who are my favourite and my best. They were great. Got a t-shirt done by Chris Simpsons Artist, too. Yay.
BUT.
But. I am starting to hate being in crowds, people, the stink of people. So many of them yesterday were desperate for attention all the time, like it was their show or something. It makes me cringe! Ugh. I know a big part of it is my own problem but I just don't like people much anymore. Not in big numbers and not in certain environments.
People suck.
Hooray: my arm's working some this morning.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Yay Tuffy!
One of my hands went funny once. I was working in a bar and if I picked up a pint with my left hand it would just jerk inwards, you know almost cramp towards my wrist. So I would pick up glasses with my right and hand them to my left. Don't know why I didn't go to a doctor, I was a mess at the time. Seemed to sort itself out in the end.
It's a girl. Thank God. This makes things so much easier.
Girls rock. Congratulations!
I remember thinking that.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Louis CK: "Boys fuck things up. Girls are fucked up."
Congrats Big S!
Bubble gum cigars all around.
Hooray for favorite bands and baby girls and arms agreeing they should start behaving!
I never said it was behaving.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I retract my show of care in that case.
It was very very naughty earlier this afternoon.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I got my nook!
It was a moment before I remembered what a nook was.
You don't want to know all the possible meanings of the word that processed through my brain before I remembered.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Yeah, I thought it said nookie at first.
Ha!
I just realised, it's probably the hooray of the year around here but none of us have even mentioned it: Donna Tartt's new book The Goldfinch! Read about it in the Guardian last Wednesday, it sounds brilliant and I can't bloody wait until autumn.
Pete wrote about that in the Book Club thread.
I agree it's very good news - a new book by her is so long overdue!
I wonder how she's been passing her time since 2002? It can't have taken her 11 years to write it! Do you think she has an amazing life of leisure?
*Goes to The Guardian homepage*
The last 48 hours have been a buzzkill, but thank god for quiche!
I never saw the book club thread! I thought it was odd if it hadn't been mentioned.
No worries! I posted in the book club pointless announcements.
I loled at this.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."
-LaJessica
The way this site is, I assumed you meant your period.
She said "nook" not "pony".
This is why we can't have nice things.
Or shark week.

There's GOT to be a way we can combine the two. It would be so much AWE that it would be awesome and awfull at the sane time.
Pony Week sounds like a summer camp for rich girls though.
This is why we can't have nice things.
My narwhal is here.
Fierce aquatic unicorn.
Since we'd previously established here at the Cult what flavor narwhal is, I'm gonna have to say no to that. Just too horrible to consider.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Ah, crap. I forgot about that. What flavors did we decide the were? Was it some melancholy shade of grey they taste like or something?
hahaha oh man. Well by nook I meant all three of those things, how 'bout that huh?
Nook now means reading device, sex, and period. Thank you cult.
I'm pretty sure reading, sex and period can all happen at once, the question is... does anyone really want them too?
I mean, it would be messy sex, and I suppose rather boring if one could focus on reading at the same time.
YAAAAAAAAY!
Little baby girls are lovely.
I find out what flavour I'm having on March 11th.
I mean, it would be messy sex, and I suppose rather boring if one could focus on reading at the same time.
Well it wasn't all at the same time.
Well then brilliant.
Sex. Reading. Period.
That seems the best order.
Get it on. Then read it all. Then deal with the facts of life.
Okay, this wasn't boring when I read it, with sex, on my period in my 20s.
But it was a bit shameful.
Nook trifecta.
Except Nook technology wasn't invented yet, then. hmmm... does that mean I gotta retract my ftw? I mean, even if I read aloud during it all?
