Hooray of the Day!
My pony left!
Hooray! My apple cake was a success! (Already posted in the Girly thread, but worth another hooray)
Hooray! My mom loved Django Unchained! This makes me happy, because I told her to go, and because my mom is awesome.
Wow! Your mother IS awesome. Now we need that cake recipe.
Hooray, the 3 shirts that I ordered from Threadless have arrived and they all fit well! So pleased.
After Sean and I broke up I purged my closets and my house, I boxed up everything I didn't want and put it in my guest bedroom planning to put it in a sale when we had room. That was in June. We haven't had room until this weekend. I finally got all of that stuff out of my house. So far today I've made $121, which is great, it's mostly just junk. But even better than the money is having it out of the house!

We have a Cheeburger Cheeburger. I haven't been there in forever, but I am a fan.

Imke, those are good hoorays!
Melody, making that dolla dolla bill ya'll!
And, I should qualify for a 100% home loan with no money down at the end of the year, through the VA loan program. Hooray!
We just gotta hang on until then.
*just got a text that says, my daughter going off to college soon, got a presidential scholarship and is qualified to compete for a full tuition ( I hope she wins, because I'd have to save money to be poor).
Yay! I hope your daughter gets it!
I really shouldn't post here until I know, but I might have a job soon.
Nothing special, just a job, but close enough to walk to if need be.
Fingers crossed.
My hooray: I ate the last piece of the hazelnut spongecake! Buzzkill: tomorrow I have to be at the birthday party of one of my friends (the one I like the least) starting 3 pm. That's more than half a day, bleh. I'm thinking of showing up late or asking dad to pick me up at 9 or something. Two years ago we watched Tangled on her birthday, so you can imagine the fun this one is going to be.
Friend of the family, whom I grew up going to holidays with now lives in my town (instead of down in Cali) and has several businesses.
I don't remember him much, but he remembers me and needs employee's for several locations and said I should contact him.
That's awesome, Amber! Yay for you!
I am going to be very vigilant about this and make it happen.
Fantastic. I hope it works out.
How exciting!
Amber, that's great!
There are more new posts in the hooray thread than the buzzkill thread. Hooray!

Hooray! I desperately needed new earphones for my iPod, because the ones I had kept falling out of my ears (I have difficult ears). I bought ones that go around the ear now, and again I am so pleased! <3
I've always had the same problem with headphones. I usually just buy the cheap ear buds though. But then when I'm doing crunches or running, they're constantly falling out of my ears. I finally decided to invest in some really nice ones.
They fit in your ears. The arm thing goes inside the spiral part of your ear... It's hard to explain.
But they fit awesome and sound amazing.
I bought these (should have ordered them from amazon since I paid way more than that haha):

Here's how they fit in your ears (open the picture in a new window to make it bigger and see):

Bloke took Lucy out! I'm having terrible carb cravings and just made myself mac cheese and put the left over kumara (sweet potato) in it and it's delicious.
Yay for Amber! And for mac cheese!

I have some like Imke's and they're nice but starting to fall apart. I've never seen any like those Pete... I think I might buy them after I finish these off for good.
And that woman is very muscular. I'm intimidated.
Those ear buds are a pain in the ass to adjust to fit in your ears. The arm thingies and the buds have many different sizes. But once you get them adjusted, they're so awesome.
That's Pauline Nordin. She's a former women's bodybuilder. Now I think she's a fitness model and the creater of Fighter Diet brand.
No school tomorrow!!! 4 day weekend and February break is next week!
When I am stuck at home and it's bad weather out, I paint my nails. Hope you have some fun options. You seem to be one of those people who never gets bored.
I need to paint my nails. I'm so crap at doing it though.
I'm on holiday in two days. Hurrah.
When L came in last night he told me that he's not playing that stupid open mic thing on Valentine's day. Glad I didn't have to twist his arm about it, either.
Love conquers all.
If not love, angry girlfriends.
Hooray for your dinner date!
I'll also be preparing a special dinner on Thursday, but besides a chicken salad we've never had before, I have no clue what to make yet. Hmm.
Hooray! Now you'll have to tell us what he cooked for you
Yay for Valentine Dates!
Me and bloke are going out for dinner on Valentines, and he's sending me something to work. But I won't be there! It's already organised. I'll be popping into work in the morning, and my Mum can bring it over when she comes to babysit if it's not arrived when I'm there.

Haha, yes, I meant to write 'guilt conquers all'!
I am in charge of pudding. It needs to be healthy for me, so I might do fruit and jelly. Or popcorn. Both these ideas are rather lame, but at least the popcorn will go down nicely with Lady and the Tramp!
We should all post our dishes.
for the last few days i had this urge to knit. i dunno where it´s coming from, the last thing i knitted was a baby pullover for my tiny nephew like ten years ago. anyway, went out and got some lovely green merino wool today and will start knitting a loop scarf asap !
I wish I could knit and crochet. And sew. It would help seeing I barely find jeans, and skirts never.
My hooray is that my package from Sema is finally here, but I can only pick it up tomorrow from the post office. I can't wait!
I'm nearly finished knitting this cute stuffed cat I'm knitting! Been really enjoying knitting and cross stitch again recently. Since I have nothing to do for a few hours I might just pick it up.
Glad that Sheldon Pooper is okay after his neutering operation. I can go and get him at 4 and I'm really excited to have him back here.
I love cross-stitching! Too bad templates are so expensive if I order them online.
If you don't do spaghetti and meatballs, you fail at love.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Tomorrow night I have pottery class for the first time in a few weeks and Thursday night my mom and her aunt and I are going to my favorite restaurant (other than the OK Cafe in Atlanta) for an early birthday dinner! I'm really excited.
I made a paper star for a lil girl on the bus today. I was drawing while on the bus and I felt this lil person peeking over looking at what I was doing. At first I didn't realize it was a lil kid so I was kind of annoyed but when I looked back to see how intrigued she was at my drawing I gave her a piece of the drawing I did and made her a blue paper star. It really made my day.
i knitted for like seven hours straight and realized pretty soon that i didn´t buy enough wool. my fingers are a bit stiff today but whatever, it´s gonna be the biggest loop scarf known to mankind !
This morning James burst in the room about six am while I was sound asleep.
"I just saw your brother on the news!"
Completely confused and expecting something, who knows what, from when he was older and maybe being a punk or something, I came out and we rewound the story.
It was a story about my old next door neighbor, from growing up. who had a really close relationship with him as a little boy. I recognised her right away. The story was that her partner/wife, who was in the military, won the right to have her (my neighbor, she was gay) buried in a federal cemetery (the neighbor has passed on) just like for any other married couple, where her partner will eventually be buried next to her.
Among the pictures flashed of my old neighbor, there was one of her and my brother cuddling and both of them grinning. Him about five years old. A little shining light.
I'm really happy my neighbors partner won the right to have her buried there. A victory and honor for a wonderful woman. And just randomly seeing my little boy looking beautiful and happy with one of the few people in this world who really truly loved him and treated him liker her own was wonderful. And memories from long ago.
We had to rewind the story four times because we both kept missing what it was about when that picture came on.
It was just such a nice thing to see and be reminded of so randomly, that he touched the life of other people. The neighbor being someone I myself haven't even spoken to in about fifteen years. (and I guess I won't again now, if she is passed on)
That her partner chose a picture of him with her to share as part of the story. There was a couple pictures of the two women, a picture of the neighbor outside doing whatever outdoor activity and then the picture with my brother.
That woman was a really important mentor in my brothers life. He would always run next door when things got loud and bad at home, and also spend hours and hours over there just because. She took him on a trip to Washington DC when he was about eight or nine.
She meant a lot to him, and I guess he meant a lot to her too.
That's so lovely, Amber.
That's really nice, Amber.
My husband came home on Valentine's day. He brought me 4 dark pink roses from Florida and a box of heart shaped chocolates.
All is forgiven then?
This is why we can't have nice things.
This is really the hooray of yesterday, but whatever. I got laid and it was actually good! I have hardly had sex at all in the past year and I haven't had sex I enjoyed in well over a year, so hooray!

Not a dirty whore, more like a kept lady.
