Hooray of the Day!
i never ate raw broccoli!! what do you do with it? treat it like a salad?
I don't eat broccoli raw as much either, but now we ate it with the hummus as dip, which was pretty tasty!
I don't really find raw veggies appetizing at all, even though I know it's healthier.
Don't worry about it. It's not always healthier. Raw veggies give you gas and bloat you because your body has to work extra hard to break them down. When you cook them, you start that process. So if you eat tons of veggies - like me - it's probably better to cook them.
When I ordered that book it came with a pack of tea, but I couldn't get the tea since it hadn't been sent to the library. So I complained and now I can go get it! I'm really curious, I've never had any from this company and it looks pretty fancy. I just hope it's not some crappy tea and that maybe I can choose.
I love raw vegetables. When I was younger I used to eat a raw carrot everyday because I was obsessed with the Looney Tunes and I after each bite I would say 'What's up doc?'
I DID THAT TOO! But I was a kid and didn't understand what he was saying, I thought it was "What's your duck?"
haha! I loved the looney tunes and I regret having sold my looney tune tapes. I didn't know they were going to cancel airing them because of stupid kids trying to hammer each other.
Looney Tunes is on Boomerang! And Baby Looney Tunes, too.
Last night Izzi dicovered Animaniacs. Good times.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Animaniacs!!!!
I'm pretty damn happy that my new housemate is really into Animaniacs and Looney Tunes. She has the DVDs. I'm a child again. Although, I am wearing my suit right now, and I did just come back from a career expo.

Animaniacs was awesome.

I love those but I ended up getting regular milk chocolate. The Valentine's day bag.
This isn't really a hooray, my hooray is being in Atlanta and being all happy and shit, but my aunt is a real comedian and this made me laugh when I walked into my room Wednesday night.

I thought you had short hair!
Also - you're wearing that shirt I need to order again. I book marked the page. They also have that gun shaped logo for Detroit shirt that Mac wears in Always Sunny. I need that too.
Your aunt is right about Morrissey. I do like his music though.
Actually, if it makes you feel any better, a few years ago my friend went to see Morrisey live and said it was shit.
It's saturday!
Also, I told my boss that I'm done with my team's issues. What happened was in the past when I wasn't even there (I was on maternity leave) and if they have any issues they can go to each other or him. I'm done.
It feels good to be done with it.
Woohoo! Get rid of the drama!
The Paper Mario game I won in a competition in November showed up! Well, I complained so much to the nice guy who sent it about it not showing up he ordered a new one sent by recorded delivery and it arrived the next day
I don't know what happened to the other one, is it lost? Did a postman nick it? Mystery.
Woo hoo! Which Paper Mario? The newest one for the 3DS, Sticker Star?
Been to hospital and 2 doctor's offices, but Issy broke her fever, which was well over 103.
Yay!!
Got her a mini Minnie Mouse plushie and a rocking chair to celebrate. She is drinking her spiked (fever medicine) grape juice and playing with her Minnie now.
She is going to sleep well tonight. Once again, thank goodness for modern medicine. She was so dehydrated, that she's only needed 3 diaper changes the entire day.
I made good tips today. Restaurant got a lil crazy busy which is good too.
Bloke gave me a sleep in! A proper sleep in. Not a "you get up and give Lucy her breakfast and then when she's ready for another sleep I'll take her out for a sleep in the car and you can go back to bed" sleep in. But a proper he did all the Lucy morning stuff sleep in! Hurrah! And, we had a lovely family day at home together.
That is wonderful.
I am glad it seems, based on your more recent posts at least, that he is getting it all through his head and stepping up more to care for you wen you need it.
I got a bunch of little thing sa round the house i have been putting off done today. painted the patches of stucco (or whatever it is) in the kitchen where some damage on the walls from being banged into had been done, finally painted over the white with patches with the blue that the rest of the kitchen is. Hung up these sparkly letters that spell out Liliauna's name in her room, and organised her room much better and put up the cloth I am going to make her curtains out of, to get a feel of what it looks like and if she like it.
And other little things.
He's being way better. It improved when I went back to work, but he's been getting better and better. And he realises that he's going to have to do a lot with Lucy whennew baby arrives.
Yay for getting stuff done.
Hooray for blokes putting effort into redeeming themselves!
BIG hooray, Sarah!!
Hooray! I ruined two carrot cakes (not so hooray), but the third one turned out okay! A bit dry, but we put on lots of cream cheese frosting, so it should be fine.
The chocolate cake looks quite ridiculous, is also somewhat dry, but tastes good nonetheless.
I have been working on these cakes for the last 4 hours...
Hooray, it's Pål Martin's birthday!
hooray I'm home and will get to snuggle with myself while the parentals go out to watch the game. It's going to be nice having the house to myself.
Hooray for all y'all
Hooray for getting a beautiful new dishwasher from Lowes! It's stainless steel on the inside and has a bunch of settings and adjustable wracks. It's black on the outside like the rest of our appliances, and it's made by Whirlpool and has excellent reviews. It'll be delivered/installed within the next few days. You know you're a grown up when you get excited about appliances for your home.
I am so jealous you have a dishwasher! I haven't lived in a house with one since 2007 and my glasses and cutlery has definitely suffered! Handwashing wine glasses is the most annoying.
On the subject of washing...
When I went into my floor's laundry room last night the coin dispenser was loose and fell on the floor upon shutting the machine door. 4 tokens fell out, which means free washing for the rest of the week!
This has happened once or twice before. Someone is obviously tampering with it, which is naughty but when it costs me £3 for one wash and then £3 for one dry token, I don't really care.
Yeah that's the one!! It was one of the games I was most looking forward to ever and I had to wait so freaking long after its release to get it, geez! At least I got it eventually and it's really fun!
Hooray! We have cake leftovers (+ some vanilla ice cream to go with the chocolate cake), and I shall have some tonight. YUM. Yes, it's allowed this one time.
We just got a Five Guys, which I've heard amazing things about, mostly on reddit. Mom and I are going to try it and I am excited. I love a good burger!
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

I personally preferred Cheeburger Cheeburger when it was around. They seemed to have disappeared though.
I made great tips today and we closed early. My legs are throbbing though.
I will tip you too!
...that sounds seedy.

Someone called last night to say they were interested in buying my boyfriend's Fender Mustang (for £1000). They'd seen the advert outside our local shop, which we put up almost six months ago! Anyway, they're coming to look at it tonight. It'd be great if they do buy it, but now he's almost paid off his debts it isn't the end of the world if they don't.
Hooray! I found this Facebook page on Dunglish (Dutch-English) called "Make that the cat wise", and I looove it. Ugh, can't stop laughing.
Forgot to mention, I got a callback a few days ago from a company at the career expo. Gonna do a meet-and-greet tomorrow. A little nervous. Uncertain about wearing a tie, a blazer, or both. It's hot.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
What kind of company?
An investment firm.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
How low did you wear your pants when you first met them?
Definitely a tie, then.
Lets just say I was surprised they called. Just kidding, you couldn't get in the expo without looking like James Bond, so yeah, business-y suits all around. I looked pretty swanky.
I love my tie, but it's the only one I have. I just can't buy another one, cuz they just don't measure up to this one's greatness. Is this love? But how can I show up tomorrow wearing the same tie!? Granted, I'll be in grey pants and a light blue shirt this time, but... this tie's beauty is not so easily forgotten.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I... I think so... I assume that's exactly how Imke feels about her boyfriend and that's the only example of love I can think of right now.
Congratulations on getting called back, by the way. Just don't fuck it up tomorrow, okay?
I loled.
This is why we can't have nice things.
We really should pay her.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I've decided I will not accept payments because I am lady not a dirty whore.

Hooray for Pål Martin.
He's sending me fun messages and trying to make me feel better.
I also printed the recipe I'll be using to make carrot cake on Saturday. Woohoo!
ALSO! Another hooray! Last night I made hummus for the first time! It was great, just a bit too much lemon juice, but yummy nonetheless. We had chicken, raw broccoli and naan bread on the side. I was very pleased with our lovely dinner.
