Hooray of the Day!
Where is she going?
Ps. My hooray of the day is that I'm working from home tomorrow and my friend (that lost the baby) is coming to stay for the weekend. We're going to bake and go swimming. I hope I can cheer her up a little.
She is going to California for a few months then probably going to move to Hawaii for 6.
So ya. I really like her. Bad timing though.

Hooray! My customized iPhone case came today!

I'm really happy at how it came out.
That is really great.
Love it.

I want to quote each of your posts but yeah I'll just use this one.
You don't need to follow her but you should in a sense follow in her footsteps of leaving somewhere else.
That's awesome that you are not stressed by it. It means that you have a pretty good friendship with this girl.
Lastly, I'm not sure I believe in bad timing. Sure things don't work out at a certain point in time but I think that it's for a reason.
I don't want to say that you should leave your life in the hands of fate but things will happen the way they are meant to.
Sounds like a fun weekend!
Mum bought me a cupcake recipe book!
My paycheck was more than it was supposed to be, which confused me. I checked the pay stub today and i received a $500 referral bonus because i got my friend hired a while back, like in September or something. I only kept like $300 because the rest went to taxes (they tax bonuses in Texas) but still, i was worried about paying the bills this week and now i don't have to.
That's awesome, Stephen!
I was asked to help run the table at the swim meet tonight, so I kept score for the boys and announced the events and I wasn't even that nervous. I did it. I'm really proud of myself.
You have to tax every income in all states I'm pretty sure. Why wouldn't you get taxed on a bonus? If your company didn't tax you, the government would still expect you to claim it.
I went to the I LOVE photo project after all and indeed wrote "...in vain". Then I discovered McDonald's revived the blueberry/vanilla pie and had one.
Because fuck the 4 exams I have next week
Finished the essay and the bibliography. Don't feel particularly proud of it but at least it's done.
^5!
Was that about Interview with the Vampire? I only realised you could've asked me a lot of stuff about it, I read it religiously when I was in secondary school. Then again I may mix things up with stuff that's in her other books (Vampire Armand was my favourite), so that doesn't sound like such a good idea in retrospect.
It was the Interview with the vampire one, also dracula. All the essay questions seemed weak to me. Normally I find a few I'd like to do but this time I struggled to pick one. Meh. I'm so glad I've done that now. I won't struggle this much with my other assignments, I shouldn't think.
When my student loan goes in (tonight? tomorrow?) I'm going to buy Jenn Ashworth's new book, 'The Friday Gospels' and I'm SO excited. I'm making time to read it even though I don't really have time. I love her so much!
The taxes on bonuses are more than income taxes. I think that's what i was complaining about.
Ho-ly crap, I definitely needed my high-tech listening ears for that phone call I just got. Someone from the south-west of the country called, and their accent is so... gibberish, that it's hard for me to understand what's going on.
Hooray of the day? I figured out what she was talking about and was able to answer her questions, woohoo!
"I want you to do the poetry translation project with me because I don't trust anyone else has the proper skill and practice."
and
"So when do we get the tickets for The Wall?" (The Roger Waters show, it's gonna be in August and I can't wait.)
Also, 4 months of silly crush today.
I got to see my love last night and we played shark attack, scrabble, and hoppin' poppin' space balls. We had a lot of fun playing board games then cuddling.
Another hooray was that I kicked his ass in all the games and got to spell xenon in our game of scrabble.
Lily came home from school super excited waving a napkin around.
Her friends mom bumped into the drummer of that band I've been following half my life last night and told him her daughters little friend was a fan and talks about the shows she has been to and stuff so Pete wrote her a sweet little message on a napkin and signed it for her and her friend brought it to school for her.
I might b a little giddy about it myself.
Hooray for Rockstars who love their fans!
He wrote:
hey Lily Girl.
Thanx for coming to the Crystal this last friday.
Do Good things!
Pete.
(she wasn't actually at that show on friday with us, but has been to a good handful of others)
The swim team kicked ass and two of my friends are going to Western Mass. I'm so excited.
My mom's friend bought me these cool little books and each of them are about The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones.
Today was a nice day.
Amber, that is way so cool! Lily must be so pleased,
That's really cool for both of you, Amber. I wish I knew a rock star!
My hooray of the day is that I found something perfect today for a cultie. I'm going to add something to it, and now I'm looking forward to surprising someone with a little something something just 'cause I like them so much. Oooooo, mysterious!
She wanted to run off to her other friends house with it to show off. It was pretty cute.
It's my birthday

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Dear Noah! Happy Birthday to you!
Whatever Whore!
HMV has gone into administration so I managed to get 25% off each of the following:
- Kung Fu (Series 1)
- Husbands and Wives
- Barry Lyndon
- Jackie Brown
I beat my classmate in 3 of the 8 rounds of word-making today. We play that game where you get 4 consonants and 3 vowels and have to make as many words as possible in a given amount of time.
Oh, I love those sorts of games, Irina.
We chose this after we discovered there was almost always a tie in The Hangman, so we stepped up to the elite game. He only plays it with me and usually beats me. But today I won 19-16, 13-8 and 22-13. Also lost another 5 times, but still.

This is why we can't have nice things.
Not the same. You can make any combinations as long as you don't use any letter more than once.
Happy birthday!!!! (a day late)
I got most of what I needed to get done today. I deep cleaned the bathroom and cleaned the kitchen. I just need to clean my room, wash some clothes, and take a shower. Sounds like something i should get done everyday but with my new schedule I haven't had time to clean.
I'm cleaning my room (long overdue) and I found $60 in an envelope I didn't know I had. Plus, looking in my wallet earlier I found $15 I didn't know was there that I forgot I hadn't spent (it was supposed to be my beer monies last Friday but I only had the two drinks my friend bought me).
So I'm $75 richer than I thought I was.
I have a test translation to do by next Tuesday. It's for a large publishing house, so hooray? Hopefully.
I'm done with my job interview! I think it went alright. The only problem for me was that since Norwegian is not my first language, I ended up starting a sentence at one point that I was not able to finish. Oh well, I sure as hell did what I could.
Imke, I kind of know how you feel, I do that all the time. Sometimes, even for really basic stuff. Like, I helped a woman get something from a high shelf and she said "merci" to which I responded "de rien". But I felt like I should have said "Je vous en prie" which is nicer, and as she was an older woman, I felt it was more respectful. WELL. She came back and passed me again and said "merci" to which I responded "Je vous... de... je..." and she was gone! Hahaha, oh god, what the fuck.
I do that with English half the time.
I ordered some shoes that were on sale online. One pair are like this pair of boots that I LOVED but that broke and I had to throw out. They actually had to be cut off with scissors because the lining inside had come loose and trapped my foot in there. So maybe I shouldn't have bought another pair but SHUT UP.
The second pair are sooooo cute, covered in flowers. Love them.
Must not spend any more money now though. I am so bad with money guys. I've bought so many clothes and shit since Monday. I do bloody love the stuff I've got now though and will stop.
For my boyfriend's birthday I got tickets to see The Woman in Black in the theatre. Will get him a few small things as well. Then NOTHING MORE EVER AGAIN STOP SPENDING MONEY. I always do this. Totally irresponsible. But fuck is it fun to go nuts with money for a bit.
It's going to snow heavily here, too! I'm so excited, I can't wait for it to start!
It is sunny and 40 out. 40 Fahrenheit.

But then it comes down to the fact that I am actually not stressed out about this. Which for me is a big step.
