So far we've told everyone about the baby but my coworkers and Haley's dad and she's going to wait to tell him because he can be mean. My family didn't express any doubts, they were all happy and excited about it which surprised me. I guess even though they've doubted all of my other decisions, they're not doubting my abilities as a father. I'm so happy about that. So far everyone's very supportive about the midwife thing too. My mom's an old hippy and she had us kids in an osteopathic hospital, which isn't a far cry from midwifery or a birthing center. I haven't told my best friend yet but I will. That's about it for now. Also, your opinions and beliefs about abortion aside, whether you agree with it or not, I really hate how casually Haley's mom mentioned how it wasn't too late to terminate the pregnancy. It's like "you could do an epidural" or "you can breastfeed instead of formula" and then "it's not too late to terminate". I don't know, it bugged me.

Yeah, abortion is never a topic to just be bandied about like that. It's people like her that give it a bad rap.

My husbands sister was the first one we told about my pregnancy when I was 18. She started in nice, but went to the, we would never be on top the rest of our lives because of this and then she threw in the abortion thing. She talked to my husband like I wasn't even sitting there. It was so offensive and hurtful, because we weren't even considering it, even though we were young. Haily's mom was very insensitive in doing this.

Maybe she was trying to be supportive and show nonjudgement in a really unthoughtful careless way? People get weird and say stupid thing when they are trying to be meaningful sometimes.

I'm finally back home safely which is a big hooray even though I wish I was still in paradise it's good to be home. I have plenty of hoorays from the trip and I will post pictures soon to share all the hooray. The flight was probably the scariest part of my trip, lots of turbulence both ways but both landings were amazingly smooth. I hope you all didn't miss me too much!

I got Gone Girl for £3 and I've been excited to read it for ages. Once I'm a decent way ahead on my reading list I'm gonna read it as a treat.

Part of the reason I was feeling so down was because of that thing my friend said about the "don't get any signals" but it was mostly because of her mother, and we talked about it more and she knows her mom is crazy and nothing is wrong, and when we were talking last night she was telling me how glad she was to have me, etc, etc, and it just feels really nice to have a good solid friend.

The reason I was freaking out so much about the situation probably had to do with the fact that it reminded me of things in the past and I was having a rough day anyways. But I'm glad it's over.

But seriously. Friends. They're so great.

Arsenal won 7-3 their last game this year.

I saw my Grandma today and Lucy charmed her Great Grandma heaps. So that was special and great.

Hooray. I went to a website and bought a customized protective case for my new iPhone.

Something that I am envious of women for, is their ability to display their geeky side and still be taken seriously. The girl who inspired my decision has one of the Joker and Harley Quinn. I figured the geekiest thing I could get away with for MY case is get my favorite band on it.

Not going to lie, it looks awesome. Can't wait to see it in person.

There are a lot of women who would argue you on that point. There are women who can be "geeky" in that "oh look at me I like comics and stuff hee hee" way, and there are women who are really and truly interested in video games and comics and they get shit on a LOT and mocked.

But I also envy women for their "right to accessorize" if you will.

Yes, hooray for staying in! ^5 Me and Pål Martin were invited to a party actually, but I would only know one person there, and I'm not into spending New Year's Eve with strangers. We already had our evening planned as well.

We just played a board game for quite a while!

We'll make Origami and a puzzle of the atomic clock in Prague. Last year we made one with Casa Battlo in Barcelona.

I had a good weekend. Hung otu with my brother and Cassie. And they hit it off really well, Nick is normally shy but he really opened up and had fun. We drove around town screamingcompliments at strangers. Then Saturday we went out shooting. Cassie never shot a gun before and was scared of them so I broke that. Then I went and saw my neice who I will post pictures of and she was super cute. She can talk and run around and we drew. It was great.

I was able to sleep in a separate room at the party and got 5 solid hours of sleep.

I had to work tonight but it was awesome. We had a great turn out for our first New Year celebration, my parents went, and everyone had a blast dancing the night away. Happy New Year everybody!

Well, that paper I got saying that I owe the guy 450 euros was old, apparently, from before my payment, so it was nothing. As for the other thing, even though I have the paper where he wrote down the amount promised, he didn't write when it was for, so I don't really have any legal proof. But he's making compromises in other areas, so I'm letting it go. I'm getting free wash and dry tokens anyways, so that's cool.

My pottery teacher told me tonight that I have significantly improved. That made me feel nice. Also a boy just told me he'd drive me to Trader Joe's one day because we both haven't been. Woo!

I like Trader Joe's for some stuff. Vegi food. Cheap wine, ummm gluten free stuff.

The little things excite me. I haven't been to Whole Foods either.
The Birthplace of Basketball doesn't have that crap. You have to go about a half an hour out and my mom won't do that for grocery shopping. Can't really blame her though.

Trader Joes has decent stuffs but everything is packaged for single people who might have one guest over. Hence, I rarely shop there.

That sounds perfect then since it's only my mom and me. Hm.

My manager has given me his blessing to book a two-week holiday over Easter. California?
