HO HO HO, Merry Cultie Christmas: Secret Santa 2010
I've been making research for the better part of the morning.
I'm excited! YAY!
edit: In retrospect I should have used a little of that time for a shower before work, oh well.

I despise the person I am sending to. Seriously I hate them. I got Cujo turds and a thriller with the last page ripped out to send to them.
Edit: I think they are AWESOME!
Hahaha! Nice one, Derek, you proper cunt. I love the idea of sending someone you hate a thriller/mystery with the last page removed. Brilliant evil.
I'm laughing out loud at you guys. I mean, with. Of course, with.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Holy shit Derek. That is evil. It reminds me of my sister in laws ex husband. He used to rip random pages out of her books she was reading when he was pissed at her. I think it is what caused the divorce.
Also, I don't know what size I wear, seems to be different for every brand. I'm not a skinny chick though.
So it had nothing to do with him knobbing the babysitter?
Because no one fucks with literature.
If he did the babysitter (which they probably did) she only would have been pissed if she wasn't there too.
What Matt said.
I'm a medium in T-Shirts. Small works, too, if it's a fancy sports-fit shirt.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I was kind of bewildered and nervous when I got my giftee's name, but I think I may have figured out something AWESOME. heehee/hohoho..
My giftee is gonna flip their lid when they see the wacky southern hemisphere shit I've got going on.
I wear a large t-shirt.
I'm stoked about mine.
I got a few cool ideas. Not sure on everything yet. But it'll be good.
I can wear a medium or large. It often depends on the make.
I think your giftee will love their presents, Pete.
I wear a medium to large (although right now I'd say large...).
Yay for gift giving!

How's everyone's gift hunting going? I'm pretty well sorted, I think. I'll be going shopping for stuff on Monday or Tuesday and sending it quick-smart.
I found a book, and forgot to buy candy. I'm at a loss for a local item. But I picked up very cute wrapping paper.
I'll be going either tomorrow or Sunday. I think I've pretty much figured out what I need to get/make.

I'm too busy to do anything this weekend, but I ordered my book over a week ago. I'm pretty sure I know what else will go into the package.

I'm still arraigning everything in my head. I'm not going to be able to shop until after next Wednesday, due to funds. I should still make the shipping deadline.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
I am going shopping right now! I already bought some candy, but I ate it. So I am starting from scratch!
I found some lovely glass sundae dishes at a thrift store yesterday, but I don't think my giftee would like them as much as I do.
I'm excited because I know exactly what to get! I'm going out today and hoping I don't get stuck in the snow...

I've realised I really don't know what to get my giftee, so I'm probably going to go with somthing a little off the wall and amusing becuase everyone likes that sort of stuff (or I hope they do) then fill the box with amazing candy.
also, sorry giftee, my funds dictate that I can't even shop until the 11th, so I probably won't get mine out until the 13th.
Should be fine, Amber. I can't remember who your giftee is, but I'm pretty certain it's someone in the U.S, so yours should still arrive prior to Christmas.
Yeah, here at home.
Next time I hope I can do international.
I almost blurted out who it is too!
By the Way, What is the thing in the front page picture? A camera or something? I don't get it.
It's a painting on a wall. But the wall has an airconditioner thing on it. It's the best Aussie Christmas photo I could find.
Whomever my Gifter is, I'm cool with whatever whenever. I just really dig suprises.
This is why we can't have nice things.
ditto.
IT MAKES SENSE NOW!!!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Oh I thought that was some kind of turn table.

I sent mine off today, it might not get there by Christmas, it will take between 15 and 25 working days.
As I was in the post shop writing the address on the package I thought "Hmmm that address can't be right." So I ran down the road to an internet cafe and paid 30 cents to come to the cult and double check the address. Thank goodness I did because I totally missed the street address. Idiot.
But it's sent. Phew.
Yay for secret santa!
Hmm, I wonder if my cult santa would like a copy of ROOM by Emma Doneghue (sp?).
Donoghue. And, that was a great book.
Well, YOU know who my giftee is...do you think he/she would like it...Hasn't read it yet, etc.?
Ummm. I forget who has who. Let me check who you have and I'll get back to you in a sec.
Oh, of course. How could I forget who you had, Mirka. I think that would be a great book gift for that person. Perfect, even. But the only thing is, I remember a little while ago, maybe last month, a few people, myself included, were reading Room, so it might pay to check in there to see if they posted anything about it. I can't remember off the top of my head if they mentioned it or not.
Should I look in the November 'What I'm reading thread?"
And thanks for all your help!
Yeah, I reckon look through both the November and October ones, just to be sure. I'll help. I'll go through October. You start on November.
GO!
GO!
YOU rock! Thanks! I'm starting on November now!
I can't see anything in October that points to them having read it, so I say go for it. Unless, of course, you find that they read it in November.
I think they'll love it. It was a fantastic book.
Nothing in November! I think it's a go.
Perfect!
I went all the way back to July checking up on my person. It took a while.

Dedication, Melody. I like it.
Man, I feel so lucky. I got a person with current relevant interests that I know about. It's almost too easy. Still, I hope they like what I am sending/ will be purchasing to send as soon as I have the cash.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
I'm hoping to be able to mail mine Saturday. I need to pick up a couple more things before it goes out. But the main stuff is already bought.
I bought all my stuff, and my package, bar the letter that I haven't written yet, is ready to go out. I just didn't have enough cashola to send it the other day, so I have to wait a couple of days til I get paid again.

Im medium.
Also I'm delighted with who I got. I just need to pack a lunch for Cujo, wipe his ass and he's on his way.
