I like how there's an evil-looking Santa lurking behind Rubber Ryu, plotting, scheming, pure evil.

Update # 6 (final one)
It's last update and end of experiment. During 74 hours hank grow 5 cm and he's 2 times bigger than he was at the beginning. He's now 10 cm tall and his head is getting back to normal so I will keep him in water for a bit longer to see will he recover fully.
Things I've learned during those three days:
- don't believe in inscriptions on packings
- it's fun to see how something grows
- I look like David Boring
here are some more photos of Hank:

I want to thanks all of you (people from the cult, neo plus forum, and other cult guests) who observed this thread and asked questions. I hope to see more stuff like this in future. Also I want to send special thanks to Monkeywright for this unusual present and inspiration in making this experiment. Thank you.

I wonder if he will shrink some if he is out of water or if he will stay the same size. For your next experiment, may I suggest gummy candies like gummy bears, but they have to be the real gelatin-based gummy kind and not jelly type candy. Get the biggest gummy you can find. If you soak them in water for several days, they really can grow 4-5x in size, but they also become softer and more delicate, so you also have to be careful with removing them from the glass. I wonder if you could use a gummy candy as a vacation fish feeder, or if that would not be healthy for the fish.
This is a really good idea.

cool idea, but after BSE epidemic it's hard to get bears made form real gelatin.
