"Happy Hank The Monkey Experiment" thread
okay, so one of presents for Secret Santa that I've received from Monkeywright was...monkey. But not an ordinary monkey. It's Happy Hank who grows 6 times larger if you put it in water for 72 hours. So today is the beginning of the experiment. For next 3 days I will be record Hank's growth.
packed monkey:

This thread makes my pecs hard.
This is soo great! I love your idea Mr. Shadov! I sent a grow thing to Six too, her's is a Spiderman. She should do her's too!

Man, I love Shadov. In a non-sexual way. He's like Depeche Mode in a person, only Polish and rocking.
You have this young roman polanski look about you which gives a real creepy edge to this experiment.
I think he looks like that homeboy from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The best friend character.

Okay, Hank is in water for 12 hours.
that's how he looked at 2.26 pm:

Hank is too big for this glass, and because he don't want to stand I need to put him in this:

Now Hank is happy in his new place:

cheers for hank.
i hope he works alot better than my most disappointing severed hand i tried to grow at halloween. i had this HUGE tub of water for it and everything. then.... nothing. it might have even shrunk.
i'm excited to witness the growth of your monkey. no pun intended.
This is like Brown's Emotions, except it's more surreal.
I love Mr Shadov's expression on every picture.

I am weeping with joy at the success of the international monkey project. Soon, he will be twelve feet tall.
Can't wait.
This is fun. I like watching it grow. You, monkeywright, should send one to lots of people in different countries to see which countries it grows best in. To see which country has the best water for growing monkeys.

That is a fine idea. I need to research a few things about the properties of water grown monkeys... this could be the start of something awesome...

Hank is in water for 24 hours. I've exchange water for a warmer one to help him grow.
that's how Hank looked at 11.12 am:

you can see that his ear is getting bigger. Also that his head is not growing in a proper way.

a really fucking important one.
Has anyone read David Boring by Daniel Clowes? Shadov looks like the eponymous character.
Update # 3
Hello everyone, it's 32 hours as Hank is growing in the water. I've turn on a lamp that should help water to not get too cold. Hank is now 7,5 cm high (don't know how many inches is that, sorry) and at the beginning of that experiment he was less than 5 cm high. So Hank is growing, maybe not so fast as I hoped, but still.
Here is Hank at 10.33 pm:

Still, it ain't flattering to be compared to someone called David Boring.

I can easily imagine this monkey 30 meters high walking with great and slow steps over the city. Like in Godzilla or King Kong... And still with the mad smile.
Or like in Gremlins. You put some water on it and they multiply themselves and kill the neighbours !

How does Happy Hank the Monkey feel like, in your hands? Is he soft, or slimy, or squishy?

before the experiment he was quite rough and solid. after few hours in water he was all coverd with some slime. now the slime is gone and he's like from soft caoutchouc.

Well I was expecting more also. On packing there was a inscription that he grows 600% of his size.
that's how it was described on the back of packing:

its the same disappointment i had when I got my first batch of Sea Monkeys
We had a shelf full of these at the old punk house (the one by the train tracks, not by the old abandoned Dairy Queen) and they would only grow as large as a 1-gallon wine jug.
The real mystery was who was drinking all that wine out of gallon jugs. I'm guessing ghost hobos!
its the same disappointment i had when I got my first batch of Sea Monkeys
When I was in boarding school I bred Sea Monkeys. One day I gave a cup full of them to my girlfriend, who was a staff member and thus had access to the staff room. She inadvertently left the glass in the staff room one day and walked off. When she came back, the cup was empty.
Did one of my teachers drink my Sea Monkeys?
