Halp
I'm developing strange feelings for Lady Gaga. I don't want to, but I can't help it. I saw the video for "Bad Romance" and found it terrifying, but couldn't look away. And since I first saw it, I've probably watched it several dozen times more. And as much as Lady Gaga is not conventionally attractive, and as hideous as I find the outfits she wears, and as ugly as she tries (and succeeds) to make herself look sometimes...there is some weird way in which I am attracted to her...against my will. Like...I'm oddly turned on by her throughout 92% of this video. And the girl knows how to write a pop song. I mean...she's damn talented in that regard. And I took some comfort in the fact that I was excited today when I found out Megadeth, Slayer and Testament are going to tour together...so at least no all hope is lost...
...BUT WHAT DO I DO? Will this pass? Do I fight it? Do I learn to accept it? Do I embrace it head-on? I don't know what to do!!!
Tom, i, too, have been struck by Gaga. I don't think of her as being hot, though. I just really really really want to meet her. And, yeah, the fascination only gets worse.
I love Gaga.
Embrace it. fighting it will only lead to more confusion, which is potentially damaging to your mojo.
I can try...but I don't know if it'll work. I tried talking about her at work today with two of the young, female interns, figuring they would understand...but one of them jokingly said, "I think Tom is in love with Lady Gaga" and I quickly got embarrassed and said she's ugly.
I'm really glad you're around sometimes, Eddie. You and I understand one another. It's comforting.
Tom, welcome.
Look at my sig, Tom. I'm so glad you decided to come to the dark side. She is brilliant. She is clever, and is great at writing music. She's a mystery. I would LOVE to meet her. I have no idea what I'd say. It'd probably go like this:

I really do think she is brilliant, but that is completely unrelated to my attraction to her. I think she is brilliant in the same way that Alice Cooper, Madonna and Marilyn Manson are brilliant. Except maybe even moreso than any of them.
If I was ever to meet her (and I can't imagine ever being in a situation where that would happen), I have a good conversation piece. She used to perform in all the musicals and jazz band concerts at my high school. She went to an all-girls school near my high school, which is an all boys school. And we had to import our female talent from neighboring schools. And she was all up in our shizz. So I'd bring that up. Then I'd probably tell a dead baby joke, for contrast. Then I'd talk about Queen and Motley Crue and whatnot.
...of course I say that now. But yesterday, I met Anthrax, and I had all sorts of stuff planned out to say, and in the end, I managed to say something semi-coherent to one guy and got nervous and just ended up saying thank you and whatnot to the rest of the band. So who knows.
jesus christ, i'm surrounded by a buncha fags.

I like you, too, Tomas.
Tell me about it. Good Lord.

tom, you live in fucking new york city. if anyone could meet her, it'd be you!! she's always running around there. too bad no one knows what she looks like without a big flashing wig and make up and crazy clothes. She'd probably slip right through the cracks if you're not looking in NYC. Be on the lookout! I want a picture of you with her by the end of the year.
You have so much in common! that's awesome. you're always meeting cool people and going on awesome trips and seeing the yankees play and stuff. you live the life tom. I want to live in NYC.

Meh, never saw anything in her. Her music is pretty lame, too. I have no advice, except do what you feel... as long as it doesn't impose on anyone else's freedoms.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
why did you even post in here then?

Brentinlouis Wrote: What was that rule about being intentionally annoying?
Why not? Am I violating some standard of etiquette that you have?
Si vis pacem, para bellum
no, i don't know. it was just sort of a pointless post. Sorry. I'm being rude.

you do know all her "original" style ideas have basicaly been recycled from tha Ramalama bang bang chick, right?
she does have some kind of vortex that drags one in though. very charasmatic, must be the hermi juice flowing in her veins. she can be strangely sexy, though. which is worrying to say the least.
goodluck, Tom.
She really is. That's part of what is so disturbing about this.
It imposes on my own freedom not to like Lady Gaga.
On the bright side, I don't feel compelled to listen to her this morning, which I did the last two mornings. I think I may be turning a corner. I often become intensely passionate about things for very short periods of time and then lose interest pretty quickly...with people especially. I'm hoping that's the case here.
Weird to see Lady Gaga without make up. To me she's just an extravagant looking pop-singer-doll who doesn't actually have a life besides that.
Tom, you'll probably get over it.

Walk walk, fashion baby.
Seriously though...how do they walk in those?
those shoes look like lobster claws
more like demon claws.
Only a man who hates women would make shoes like that.
...the fuck's going on in my country now?!
a dark tower fan!
thankee sai.
i read on Kings website, he is going to write a new DT novel.
what does stephen king have to do with anything?
everything?
I wouldn't even know who she is if not for you bastarding shits.
But I want in on this Dark Tower high five.
Ok, I'm over it. I went the whole day without feeling any desire to listen to her. Surely you can understand why I was so concerned, though.
you are not over it. Just wait until she gets you again. It's like alcoholism. You're never over it. Just once you go back, it's gonna be even harder to stop.

New Dark Tower Book
Posted on: November 11th, 2009 11:21:49 pm
Stephen has announced that he has an idea for a new Dark Tower book, the working title of which will be THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE. He has not yet started this book and anticipates that it will be a minimum of eight months before he is able to begin writing it.
Haha, glad to see you've recovered.

All the costume stuff is really pretty genius of her. She can just stroll down and get a coffee without getting much of a hassle.

ha....
hahaha....
hahahahahahahahaha!
