What is your greatest fear?
I'm not forward-thinking enough to have any really deep fears. The idea of deafness freaks me the hell out though.
Which historical figure do you most identify with?
No one springs to mind...
Which living person do you most admire?
Terry Pratchett.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Um...can't think of the word...I want to talk to someone or whatever, and I just don't do it. Not procrastination exactly, nor insecurity. I think it's just force of habit. Chronic hermitism?
What is your greatest extravagance?
If you mean what I spend most money on, books and alcohol.
On what occasion do you lie?
When I'm not in the mood for explaining things. Not to my friends though, they're not worth having if you can't be comfortable talking to them.
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
Ah, it'll do.
Which living person do you most despise?
My brother. I never feel strongly about anyone unless I'm in regular contact with them.
What is your greatest regret?
I refer you to the post I didn't make on the 'everyone has a josh' thread...one fucking word...[/melodrama]
Who or what is the greatest love of your life?
Being with a small group of friends. So...my friends, then Tongue
Which talent would you most like to have?
I'd love to be able to draw.
If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
I'm not a big fan of this kind of question...I don't like to think about changing the unchangeable. Better to just accept.
If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be?
Either a monkey or a dog. Ooh, or a sloth.
What is your most treasured possession?
I dunno. I have some stuff I've gotten from friends over the years. I'm also quite partial to my trousers.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Complete and utter apathy. Feeling disconnected from everything.
Where would you like to live?
I'd like to travel rather than live in one place, but as for a 'home base' I'd have to say right here. Not here, mind. Where I live now.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
The ability to see past his dick. And sport. Christ almighty, men are bad conversationalists.
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
Someone said 'humble intelligence' earlier on. That sounds about right. Sense of humour is a given.
What is it that you most dislike?
Unflinching stupidity.
How would you like to die?
Be beaten to death. By the Pope. On live TV.
What is your motto?
I think "evolve and let the chips fall where they may" is pretty cool.

by request..i am filling out the questionnaire too, for others to judge my craziness..

What is your greatest fear? hatred

Which historical figure do you most identify with? there are ones that i want to identify with..but i cant think of one that is similar enough to me to judge.

Which living person do you most admire? the dalai lama

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? mumbling

What is your greatest extravagance? films

On what occasion do you lie? if i am vulnerable or if it will help another person

What do you dislike most about your appearance? weight..but that just depends on my mood and how much i am falling to stereotypical 'do i look fat' media generated female persona..so considering what i dislike on the most consistent basis, then it would be my nose.

Which living person do you most despise? i dont despise anyone, really..though i suppose, for humors sake, i despise avril lavigne.

What is your greatest regret? any time i have been audiably closed-minded

Who or what is the greatest love of your life? my family

Which talent would you most like to have? good conversational skills. [i know..i can talk to people.. i just mean conversational skills in the sense of confident conversational skills with people i dont really know..schmoozing skills.. the ability to articulate what i am thinking effectively in a group..that sort of thing]

If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? closer living proximity

If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be? whatever the dominant, thinking species is at the time.

What is your most treasured possession? hmm..i dont really know about most treasured..possessions are still unfortunately valuable to me...which is dissapointing..but im not to the point that i can rid of them yet..but im trying...so their value is pretty equal..but if i were to choose something off the top of my head, it would be my rings; one from grandpa, and one from gramma.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? living in a condition in which one does not want to be living in.

Where would you like to live? new york city.

What is the quality you most like in a man? kindness
What is the quality you most like in a woman? kindness
okay..those were entirely generic.. and i tried to come up with something more specific..but there really is no quality that i can think of that can be blanketed over people sufficiently..because there are so many qualities to like in each person...and the qualities i like are similar, but not the same enough to articulate... and i cant come up with specifics because i am unable to place universal prerequisites on people through a small part of their personality, especially when those prereqs are physical..sorry about that question.

What is it that you most dislike? the acceptance of closed-mindedness

How would you like to die? alone, awake, and naturally

What is your motto? hm..i dont really have one motto per-say.. the closest thing to it is a buddha quote;
"dont just believe, find out for yourself!"
.... and, as i am a quote fiend.. there are practically endless things that i take to be motto-like.... i suppose i could use something like this..because you can substitute each and every word into the end of the sentence..and it will always be infalliably true..because you really arent anything..;
"You're not your job. You're not how much money you have in the bank. You're not the car you drive. You're not the contents of your wallet. You're not your fucking khakis."
...but for the thing i say the most..i use this quote most often, from 1984.;
"the best books, he perceived, are those that tell you what you know already."

another person ranks the dahli llama as the living person most admired. let's hear it folks *another one hand clapping in the tibetan forest* why do you rank him that way?

because i have read his books, and learned a lot from them, and find that he is an amazing, amazing, wonderful person. i really do admire him for who he is, what he does, and what he thinks [telling from the books and speeches n stuff] ......and, he is the reason i discovered buddhism, and subsequently why i am now a buddhist.

Isn't he listed as a terrorist by the US govt? Haha, I could have sworn I saw that somewhere. Seriously.

Just as a disclaimer: That statement is obviously a mockery of the US govt, not of the Dalai Lama..

Why not?

What is your greatest fear? I have phobias of heights and falling. Seriously, it sucks.

Which historical figure do you most identify with? Benjamin Franklin. Rather, he is the historical figure I would most like to be like.

Which living person do you most admire? Can't think of any.

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? I am, over-all, highly deplorable for a number of reasons.

What is your greatest extravagance? I waste money. On just about everything. Books, music, tattoos, clothes, whathaveyou...

On what occasion do you lie? Whenever I feel the need. See? I told you I was deplorable.

What do you dislike most about your appearance? This is appalling, as I'm not overweight and like to think that I don't have stereotypical body issues, but I wish I was thinner.

Which living person do you most despise? Most people are beneath contempt anyway... I don't really despise anyone. I just don't really like most people.

What is your greatest regret? None.

Who or what is the greatest love of your life? My wife and daughter. Don't ask me to pick one over the other.

Which talent would you most like to have? I wouldn't mind being a better musician than I am. Since I'm not very good, anyway.

If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? My father died shortly after I turned 14. I wouldn't mind being able to undo that.

If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be? Easy answer is that I would choose not to come back, but since I have to choose, I'd say a barnacle. They just sit there and eat.

What is your most treasured possession? Hrm... I don't really have very many 'posessions'. I once had almost everything I owned stolen. After that, you tend not to latch-on too tightly to material things... I'd say old photographs or writings that I did back in college. Those are pretty much irreplacable.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery? I dunno... Chronic back pain?

Where would you like to live? In ideal circumstances? Hollywood. Or San Juan Capistrano. Or Pittsburgh.

What is the quality you most like in a man? Intelligence, honesty, wisdom, and humor.

What is the quality you most like in a woman? See above.

What is it that you most dislike? In the world? Not being independantly wealthy. Yes, the love of money _is_ the root of all evil. I don't love money. Money is a tool that would help me to accomplish all those things that I would like to.

How would you like to die? In my sleep.

What is your motto? Veritas ex Lux et Lux ex Veritas est. ...or something like that.

good for you, angelanicole. that's a wonderful story of discovery and conversion (i am being strictly serious - sadly i know how cyberspace can often twist the tone of a phrase).

me, i just admire him for what he represents to the world. namely, steadfastly keeping to his beliefs and character in the face of oppresion; living up to the promise that's an inherent part of all of us.
