Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)

That would be my favorite chick flick of all time.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Hannah and Her Sisters is one of my favorite films in general!
I've never seen Little Women and I certainly didn't know that Winona Ryder played the main character - I have only seen her in roles that seem entirely opposite of a role in Little Women.
Are the scissors broken in your house, son?

I know most of the lines by heart.
About Little Women - it's so good! It's a really good rainy afternoon film. The drug dealer from Pulp Fiction is one of the love interests!
Who?

I also got some black boots. I've been looking for black boots for a loooonnngg time, but all the ones I would look at were never quite right or uncomfortable. These were a good price, fit comfortably, and exactly what I've been looking for.

I might wear them tomorrow. I have the perfect dress to wear with them but I'm not sure I want to wear a dress with a bunch of old dudes that are coming over.
The boots pair perfectly with the red unmentionables. Yum.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
Oh yeah,
I don't know if this passes as a 'female drama' per se, but:

Carmen is one of my all-time favorite movies (Paz drool) and is definitely dramatic and female and fits the recently visited 'empowerment' theme.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
I'm not going to name any, and I never tell anyone this, but deep down I am just a big pile of mush for a passionate love story. Particularily if it is one of those span a lifetime with the lovers kept apart type.
I cry so hard.
I cry so hard.
I suggest a book. Foreign Fruit by Jojo Moyes. It moved me beyond words.

I'll have to check that out, the description sounds intriguing.
Eric Stolz, I guess.

This thread should be about me, and you all should pretend I can't view it.
Go to bed.
Something awesome I came across:

Knife thrower, The Netherlands, 1903.

I love that Imke. it would make a cool tat
Imke, that's way cool.
Are the scissors broken in your house, son?
That'd be a good avatar.
Wondering if this should be my next hairstyle...

Won't be for a while though, I only just got my hair cut symmetrically again before I went to France, so.
I don't see why not, Imke!
Excuse my ignorance, but who is she?
I have no idea!
That is a cute do Imke. Where did you go in France?
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
I think that hair cut would look great on you imke.
Barcelonnette, which is located in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. It's pretty far south and close to the Italian border.
I think the girl with the cool hair is from The Saturdays, Imke. Unfortunately their music is not so cool.

I start my new job on Monday and need some slightly more rain-resistant/solid smart-casual shoes. The majority of what I wear to work is black... trousers or skirts to the knee.
Anyone like any of these three or are they all hideous?

I would really like these boots (last season from Office) but they only have them in size 3

I've heard it's beautiful there.

Chester, it really is. Just being at our camp site was amazing with the view we had.
Hattie, I really like that second one, with the orange/pink/coral color.

I definitely want this!
Swimsuit anyone?

nice
That's cute. It reminds me of this swimsuit someone promised to buy me. It was an R2D2 swimsuit and it's actually by the same people who made the swimsuit you posted Imke.

They have a C3PO one too
I gave myself a manicure the other day

This is what it looks like now

It didn't even last me 24 hours.
Funny.
Those swimsuits are yummy. More! More!

URGH that's so annoying! I've never had a professional manicure before, although I would quite like one as I love painting my nails. Unfortunately, like yours, they don't last ten minutes after I've painted them!
In other news, I hate ill-fitting shoes! I wore my ultra smart Gabor black pumps on my first day of work yesterday and they've given me horrible blisters...on every toe! So much for investing in "quality footwear."

I'm really pissed off, I bought this dress a few weeks ago and I really love wearing it, but the hem keeps falling down! The material is very thin and I don't want to make a mess of trying to re-sewing it but I also feel stupid having to pay to get it repaired. I should really stop buying such bad quality clothes...
that's cute hattie and sometimes you just have to pay for certain things to be hemmed.
Not girly, but awesome.

That is an adorable dress, for real.
Could you perhaps use some of that hem tape stuff? It would be a pain in the ass to reapply it every time you wanted to wear it as it can't be washed (at least I don't think it can be), but it wouldn't involve any sewing.
Great idea, Alecia! As you can tell I am a complete novice when it comes to sewing, so I'll have a look in my local habidashery (sp?) shop.
I don't know if you can see up close but the pattern is white swans
Haberdashery. Love that word.

why not just take it to an alteration shop and have them rehem it? it shouldn't cost much at all.

Yes, I will probably, but I'd never even heard of the tape. Will definitely stock up.
My boobs hurt.

Whatever! *unsympathetic*

Earrings, $25.
Those are lovely but I would never wear them.
She doesn't really make wearable accessories, except for maybe a few navy-inspired necklaces.
they look fetching. perfect for hors d'oeuvres.

What's everyone's favourite female dramas?
I really like films that deal with women's relationships.
My favourites:
Guilty pleasures:
Did anyone catch the supposedly "clever"/"thinking woman's chick flick", Bridesmaids? The trailer didn't look great...
