Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
I love Helen Mirren and would have a love affair with her if I ever got the chance.
I think it's Paloma Faith, she's a singer. She always dresses oddly, not sure what's up with her eyebrows though.
Cool, thanks! Yeah, thems is some frrreeeeaky eyebrows!
So I just bought my first Victoria's Secret bra and it is pretty much the most comfortable bra I've ever owned. I am a convert.
I told you!!
Sidenote: I rubbed/petted my bra strap yesterday because I was so happy that my bra was so comfy.
Yep, you were right! Can't wait to wear it tomorrow
I need to go buy some more soon.
I need to get me some of these bras.
got some late birthday money and placed a big asos order last night...hopefully everything fits and I don't have to send things back, but at least they have free shipping both ways. Had a 25% off code that worked a treat, too. If anyone wants to use it, the 25% off is good til the 24th, code is VIPALERT
Oooh I might check out their maternity stuff.
for sure, they have some pretty cute maternity stuff actually. lots of nice tops and dresses
I have been shopping at Thrift stores and getting some awesome buys and finds. I don't mind second hand and I you can find some great name brands and deals. My latest buy was a pair of brown corduroy pants $4 and a grey cable J Crew sweater for $4. Ive become obsessed with it right now. I love finding the name brands and getting them so cheap, especially knowing when the item was brand new in the store, they were probably high dollar. So yeah, loving the Thrift shopping and I will try to post pics of my finds soon.
Whatever Whore!
I'm really tempted to order something, but I feel like I shouldn't, because I already ordered a couple of t-shirts and some books the last month.
Oscars gowns - yay!

When you're pale you don't pick these colours

I swear Lawrence is the best. I haven't even seen her in anything yet, all I know about her goofiness is from tumblr.

Ain't nothing wrong with being pale. And she is very funny.
Nothing wrong with being pale, indeed, I choose not to tan more than the inevitable, but they're on the red carpet and supposed to be looking fabulous, not washed-out.
Jennifer Lawrence fell?

I can only hope that someday I will be so famous that if I ever trip in public, within minutes the internets will be awash with animated gifs of me falling.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Sounds lonely
I so don't care about Jennifer Lawrence.
I used the code at the weekend. I love having ASOS Premier!
I bought this as I don't own a waterproof coat and probably need one living in England, etc.

Wish they had more choice of colours. If it looks gross, I'll send it back.
Wow, looking great. And I think red would suit you just fine.
That's cute, Hattie!
And I actually like the red head in that coppery gown, Irina. Otherwise, I'm in total agreement, with ya, about the wash colors on tv. In person, they can be quite seductive. You know, flesh colored dress and all. purrr!
Thanks guys, I hope it is nice. I would prefer if it had poppers instead of those metal fasteners but whatever.
The coppery one was one of my favourites! Along with Salma Hayek's:

Still, I think it was a bad year for dresses. I've been going through them all on Huffington Post and don't know who 75% of these people are anyway.
chickens?:

Popper are buttons or frogs/toggle, in the UK?
toggle:

They are way chicken. Kristen Stewart took way too many pain pills before she got on stage. She looked stoned as hell.
Selma Hayek took my husband's breath away. He immediately shouted out, to no one in particular, that she looked amazing and so Spanish. Until he remembered that she has big jugs. Then he was like, 'Where's the cleavage?'
His commentary should have been a sidebar, on the Oscar telecast.
Seth was a pretty good host. My favorite Oscar so far. The tribute of people who passed away was sad.
Jesus, Kristen Stewart can't seem to get it right.
toggle:

Poppers are snap fasteners.
We also use the word toggles. Never heard the term 'frogs'.
I'm going to start calling them poppers all the time.
I like the term jumper, too. But no one will get that, here.
ikr. smh. Kristen.
Kristen needs a stylist to tell her what a hairbrush is
I thought Jessica Chastains bronze dress was beautiful, it looked much better on tv than it does in that picture Irina posted.
She's just so cute and quirky and so refreshingly honest. I can't help but adore her.

Okay, and that lady in the background. I know she had to dress in all black. But, if I were standing behind that girl Amy Adams, I'll be damned if I wouldn't be wearing proper black slacks, get bangs up twisted cute and throw on some Jackie-O shades and lip stain.
And anyone can get all that stuff at the dollar and thrift store. I'm over analyzing. It's a free country. But that bothers me. That lady in black, looks like she would rather be grocery shopping.

Definitely agree on this. She seems very normal, not uptight at all and not afraid to be a little vulnerable or dorky.

I posted a video clip in the internet thread. It shows Jack Nicholson interrupting an interview to say hi and she is totally starstruck. It's adorable.

aw, that was awesome!
also, this:

Well it looks like she's working. She's probably sick of it and hates everyone involved and I imagine she most likely would indeed rather be grocery shopping.

Haha, guess it's just me then.
There's a cute interview where the reporter tells her Hugh Jackman jumped to help her get up, she's like 'Oh my God! Are you lying to me?', the reporter says she's serious, then Jennifer asks if that's on camera, still in disbelief, and then starts doing a victory dance.
Hugh Jackman is very charming.

Wah, unfortunately I think I'm going to have to send this back.
The material feels like it could rip really easily, it's barely thicker than a plastic bag.
Damn you ASOS!
Sucks that you'll have to send it back, Hattie. I hate it when you've ordered something and it's not what you thought/hoped.
I had almost ordered something from ASOS as well, but changed my mind. I've ordered things online (some t-shirts from Threadless and some books from Amazon) several times the last couple of weeks, so I felt guilty about possibly spending more money.
Haha, I know what you mean. I haven't checked my bank balance in a while, probably should before ordering anything else.
Just seen another raincoat on ASOS. Probably the same material again but quite like it. (Maybe it's just the pretty model...)

Gosh I never learn...
I was quite fascinated by the model as well actually. And yeah, it looks like the same material.
Don't do it, Hattie!
Ok, I'll be good! Might as well wait and find something when it's spring anyway. Judging from outside it's still very much winter!
She really is so cute!
Just recently I heard on the news that some spermbanks had been turning down redheads as there is too small a demand for their sperm. So sad
Do you still have snow?
It's not that cold here right now, but there was still lots of ice left from before and now it's raining a lot, which is not a good combination.
That is sad, we definitely want to keep them around.

that's crazy, because doesn't the redhair gene have to be present on both the mother and father's side to produce a redheaded child? Just one isn't enough, that's why they're saying redheads are going to become more and more rare.
Sorry about the raincoat! I like the blue one better but you're probably best looking in an actual store for something of that kind of fabric. I really wish ASOS had a user review system like a lot of the other clothing websites do.. it would be very helpful, I'm sure people would mention things like the quality of the fabric, etc.
I didn't know that! I was actually going to suggest that redheads only have sex with people with other hair colors from now on, to increase chances of redhead babies. Turns out I almost killed them!
Yeah, I like the blue one better and it's cheaper, grr. Didn't see it the first time round. I will definitely just see what's in the shops as £40 for a bit of PVC is a bit ridiculous.
I agree about the lack of a review section on ASOS, it's maddening! The one on Topshop's website is sophisticated as the reviews include questions to fill in like "Was this garment true to size?" for example. Very helpful.

No snow today, although it has tried a few times over the past few days. It mostly just turns to pathetic light rain.

actually like this dress a lot, I think it's Stella McCartney
