Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
the good thing about those shoes is even though they have a lot of details, they're still just black shoes. meaning you can pretty much wear them with anything.
Nice choice, Lib!
Love those shoes. I want a pair like that but they'd probably look silly.
I have beige/nude brogues. Half suede, half leather.
Oh yes I did.

Very nice! I love those.
They have leopard print soles and insides. I think I am in love.
I bought the shoes. Should be here in 3-7 business days. Pretty excited.

Oh my GOD those are beautiful
Those are cute, kit. I love a femme heel.
Those are sooo you kit. Love'em
I was going to put this in What Did You Find, but Girls Clubhouse seemed more appropriate.
Contraceptive Cake!

And IUD cookies!

The internet really sends one to weird places with just a few clicks from the original search.
Wow.
(TMI) I got an IUD a few weeks ago (yay taking control of my body!) and I was trying to ease my mind about whether the string length was too long or not.
The above is what I found, information wise.
Also this band:
Did it hurt, Pepper? I bet it hurt.
those IUD cookies are really scary. Why would they make some with icing the colour of blood? aaaahhh
Kit, those boots are amazing. LOVE!
I got the non hormonal copper one, and yes it hurt. I was doubled up feeling like my uterus was being stabbed, even crying at one point, in the days after.
I haven't had any pain in about two weeks. It is supposed to make my periods worse and more painful for the first six months, but I have not had one yet. So we will see.
I can't take hormonal birth control. I have had a bad reaction every time, from mild to extremely severe allergic reaction (the severe time was when I tied the patch). So this is my only option aside from sterilization. If I want to be in control of my body and not rely on condoms, I mean. I'm done with babies, so I am willing to suffer out the pain for a few months if that is what it takes.
Great boots, Kit!
It is supposed to last for ten years and is supposedly as effective as sterilization. So that is why I am willing to try it and cope with a little pain for a few months. The security is worth it..
Why would they make them in the first place?
I think the cake is kind of cool, though. It amuses me more than the cookies at least, the circle of birth control pills as a form of feminist art is more recognizable, culture wise, though.
Nice boots, Kit.
I wouldn't have known that's a birth control circle, Amber. My pills look like this.

I think that's what most look like, Irina.
The old school ones (pardon the phrase, Amber ;P) used to come in those circular containers. I remember my mom's were like that when I was younger. I think it was meant to help remember the pills.

Oh of course, why would they make them at all, it's a very strange and specific thing to make. I agree, the cake is funny - though I still can't imagine what occasion would call for a birth control pill cake. Is it an ironic baby shower?
Kelly Osbourne at the SAG awards. I'm not a fan of the bottom part of the dress, but I LOVE the top, as well as the clutch!

I love her hairdo and her eye make-up.

It turns out they were linked to some blog, the cake was with an entry "celebrating" however many years it has been since the pill became available, the cookies to another entry that gave information about IUD's, as a novelty eye catcher for the entry or something.

I was whispering, "Ahhhhhhhhh..." while reading half your post... like a scream, but quiet.
Like this?

Exactly. Except with some sound. So not at all.
I'm just considering it a piece of really sexy, slightly masochistic, jewelry.
How many Cult ladies wear a night moisturising cream?
I usually just wash my face, cleanse and tone before sleep but found a free sample tub of Clinique's in my cupboard. It feels nice.
Not me. My skin is way too oily for any kind of moisturizer.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

I wear a daytime moisturizer and then a different one at night time. I've used plain old Oil of Olay every day since I was about 17 and it's worked for me (so far!). At night I use some cheap stuff I found at Aldi. I'm not picky about night cream so long as it's specifically for night wear and doesn't smell bad.
I don't use creams either. I wash my face every evening with this:

I only use day moisturizer. Hand moisturizer, on the other hand, day and night.
My skin tends to be pretty dry so I wear moisturizer most of the time.
Lol, what a stupid sentence I wrote above.
The shoes came in. They're pretty damn slick.

I use the same moisturiser for day and night (Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief, which sounds like it should be for really dry skin, but I have combination skin and it works wonderfully for me. It's a gel-cream, so it doesn't feel really heavy, which I hate). I've had a few serum samples recently, and I found that using them at night made my skin feel a lot nicer when I woke up in the morning, so I was thinking about investing in one of those rather than a night cream.
I'm terrible and only wash and moisturise my face in the morning.
You have a baby, that's totally understandable. Does she walk already?
I don't wash my face everyday or moisturize, so I must be going to girl hell or something.
Just wrinkle hell.
Speaking of wrinkles.
I've been purposely staying out of the sun whenever possible, wearing sunscreen when not, since I was about twenty, thinking about the wrinkles I do not want to have prematurely.
I guess it helps that I like the shade, so I am not giving up sunshine for the sake of vanity too much.
But anyway, I have noticed the wrinkles starting to show worse on the ladies the same age as me that I have known all these years who did not avoid the sun but rather soaked it up.
I am bothered by these fine lines crisscrossing around my eyes though, I need to start paying attention to what I can do for that delicate skin so it does not get horrible in another ten years.
My forehead is full of wrinkles because even if I wear sunglasses I still squint when I'm in full sunshine.
I don't regularly moisturize and I like the sun. I suspect I'll be attending this wrinkle hell.
At least Jes will be with me in wrinkle hell. That's all I could ask for.
Sweet. Let's not go to leather hell though, okay? I don't think we can pull that shit off.

I think those shoes would look classy with solids. I like when one part of an assemble(sp?) has that extra little detail while the rest is just classic cuts, colors, simple. Well at least to dress it down.
