Right, so everything we call indigo is a lie? Sure.
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."

I didn't say that, did I?
I was actually just about to clarify and say that you were right. Indigo is a dark color. But perhaps the fact that he mixed the dye with his already dark hair caused the outcome to be Indigo.
I don't remember you being this combative, but I know you're having a rough time lately, so I hope things get better and you stop being so aggressive towards people for no reason. It's honestly getting to be a bit much.
Melody is allowed to feel anything she wants right now and express it how she needs. She is very freshly in grief and sick on top of it.
If she needs to lash out she needs to lash out, as friends we can take the licks rather than her get into trouble lashing out in places that it will cause real trouble in her life.
Just my opinion.

I wasn't responding to you. I was responding to mike, who said exactly that.

Didn't see your post or I would have quoted.

I'm not saying that she's not justified in feeling that way. Believe me, I understand that she's having a hard time. But I also reserve the right not to be condescended to. Well all struggle, and I sympathize, I really do. Pepper, if you want to look the other way when she speaks to you that way, it's perfectly fine, I'm not gonna tell you you're wrong. But I'm not okay with the way she responds to me, personally.
Edit: Well, I apologize if I misunderstood who you were speaking to. I was gonna erase this post originally, but I'm not going to back away from my own words. I'm not trying to pick a fight. And I'm sorry if it comes across that way.
Again, I wasn't even talking to you.

Thanks Amber, but I didn't think I was lashing out in this case. I was actually trying not to. But again, I was responding to Mike, not Fano.

My apologies, then.

I'm not trying to pick a fight either Chris, and I am not condescending you.
I was speaking as someone who has seen more death than you can imagine.
You are entitled to your opinion. I am entitled to mine as well, and mine includes, yes, looking the other way (if you wish to put it that way) or turning the other cheek if someone in Melody's condition needs to vent. You may choose otherwise.
The picture I posted was of indigo.. Everything but the mountain and the shadow of the mountain. That was the color of my hair at the time and what came up when I googled indigo.
Well, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo According to that, Indigo is way closer to blue than it is to purple. And not anywhere near what is in that photo. And google is not exactly gonna be the best indication of what indigo is, because really, whatever people name their files, that's what it's gonna find. I'd say your hair was purple. Maybe one could say we're... splitting hairs! LOL
But really, this is important.
For fucks sake. Whay can't you just say it's purple? Light purple or dark fucking purple. Sheesh.
Indigo is dark and closer to blue than purple. Purple with white added is lavender.

It's all purple to me. Or purpleyblue or blueypurple.
What about mauve or lilac or whatever...?
My props. I give them to you.
It's crazy. That's not what I thought it was at all. Anyway it was just for a night.
I was playing with dye and thought the color reminded me of Cecil from Final Fantasy 4 (though in all the remakes his hair is white)

What about mauve or lilac or whatever...?
Any color lighter than it's original has white added to it. Indigo is a color of the rainbow, but it isn't on the color wheel, though blue-violet is closest to it. The colors on the color wheel are colors in their purest forms, colors made from the three primary colors in equal portions.
Lilac is similar to lavender, it is violet with white added, maybe a little blue. Mauve has some white and also red in it.

Would you like them to be, Alecia?
QFT
Trying to find new boots, black, knee high, not much of a heel. Willing to spend max $200 for something that's going to last. Why is it so hard? Wahhh
What about mauve or lilac or whatever...?
Pretty much. But that's probably because I don't ever need to talk about colors. I just need to memorize the code of the color mixtures for when I'm shopping for house paint.

Yeh?
I like them.
Do they come in purple?
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
Cute, but not what I'm looking for. Also they're synthetic.... I'll find something eventually.
They aren't cheaply made, even though synthetic. And, Rocket Dog's boots feel exactly like sneakers. Here are a pair, that I've owned for 3 years, and still get compliments on. Waited months for them to go on sale.

Good luck finding your perfect boot
Yup! Alecia knows what I'm talking about.
You feel like you can run, like Benny in 'The Sandlot', in Rocket Dogs.
*I mean, if you absolutely had to run from a mugger or crazy dog or something.
!

My mom just bought some flat/knee high boots from chinese laundry. They're nice too. If I get a chance I'll post pics of them tomorrow.
Here's a link actually: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/chinese-laundry-shoes-nostalgia-over-...
They have different colors and styles too.
That dog's rocket is aimed at its head. It's a suicide mission!!!
Jaz, wouldn't mind those in brown! So cute. Got my wedding dress at Macy's. White strapless mini from the junior's department.
I just found out my glasses are from a somewhat fancy brand in The Netherlands. This is the detailing on the arms(?).

Those are great glasses.
Whatcha guys think of these puppies?

My sister really wanted me to get 'em.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I say listen to your sister. They look great. Is that suede on the matte parts?
I'm not sure, but I think it's all leather. Just differently... prepared leather?
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I liked that they gave me a couple of extra inches in height.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
I like the extra bit of stitching detail on the side. It's a subtle nice touch without being overboard and fruity.
definitely nice shoes, I'd guess the slightly more matte part is probably nubuck
Fine, fine. I'll get 'em. I was just uneasy about it, cuz the stitching makes it look like they have a lot going on, and I feel like I'd have to accessorize or wear a bit of a loud, yet classy jacket/shirt to even it out.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
To look nice on a casual day and pull off fancy things at the same time, wear more subtle and quality but plain clothes with them, to even it out. Then maybe a nice watch or cuff links.
If you make everything loud and detailed you just look gaudy.
Details need to pop, not overwhelm.
The same concept behind a woman not doing both her eyes and lips up with makeup. One or the other, otherwise you look whorish. The same concept of not wearing amazing earrings and bracelets and a necklace all at once. Pick two, leave the other.
Oh, I know. By loud, I meant no solids. Pinstriped/Plaid shirts, for instance. I've got a lot of solids, and most of my striped shirts aren't fitted to look like they belong with these shoes. Shirts/Jackets with contrasting colors on them, no neons, and slim fit. By no means gaudy.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
They are pretty good shoes.
I like that you are going for the pin stripped stuff. That is great.
Cuz I'm gangsta.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
yeah.
You just have to accept the shoes.

Nope. According to ROYGBIV, Indigo fades into violet, which is actually (and strangely), darker than Indigo. Also, you can't really compare the colors in paints and dyes to the colors in light, because pigments completely alter the way colors interact with each other. That's why in light, all colors mixed make white, while in paints, all colors mixed make black.
