Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
haha, that happens to me a lot in TJMaxx too!
This is my own fault though, I got confused with the tags and thought they were cheaper, got into the dressing room and realised they were $400.. still tried them on anyway. Oops!
I ended up getting a shirt and a pair of green paisley jeans that I'm still not fully convinced I can pull off, but we'll see.
I bought a lot of stuff

Woah! I love those boots, and the colorful skirt and the long sleeved black and red sweater.
Thank you. I went a little crazy but I couldn't pass these items up. That skirt was 5 bucks! I have a hard time finding boots that I like and are comfortable so I had to buy them. I have to refrain from shopping for the rest of the week now though.
I might go shopping for myself soon. I have to remind myself there are other things we need and not get too happy about it if I do.
Love the jacket and the tennis shoes.
Love all of it! I've been wanting boots like that as well.
Love all of it, too. So colourful
Love the tartan shoes, Jaz.
I really want a new winter coat because mine's looking a bit worn, but I'm finding it so difficult to find anything flattering and practical! And why must everything have a black Cruella De Ville fur collar?
I tried this coat on in Topshop and like it but it wasn't as roomy as I wanted it to be. I could fit a thin cardigan under there, tops!:

I may go back and try a bigger size so I can compare.
This one was very roomy but I'm afraid it will make me look like a student:

And lastly, here's a similar but more tailored looking duffel I found on ASOS. It's the cheapest of the 3:

What do you guys think?
I think you should buy the last outfit and model it. But I do love the other two coats.
Thank you sista, I might!
EDIT: I just bought it (and also paid £9.95 for 12-months of next day deliveries). I can always return it if it looks bad.

I love those coats hattie. I realized that I have a shoe and jacket problem...and jeans...and sweaters. I love being covered up.
I like the last two coats best. I hope it works out, Hattie!
Oh man, so cute! But 180? That's insane! (Unless they're completely handmade shoes, I suppose. I still couldn't justify the purchase price to myself)

Look at the fluff dad bought me at Lidl! It's so warm and cosy I don't care it comes from a supermarket. Lidl makes good stuff, and even better candy.
I'm gonna wear it inside the house when it gets really cold, or under the jacket whenever I go out, as an extra layer.
fluff jacket! The name is so cute. I want a fluff jacket!
That's not its name, but I call everything warm and fluffy a 'fluff'. It's a fleece jacket.
Alecia the shoes are great, but the price is a bit high. Jaz, I really like the coat with the fur collar. I bought 2 new pairs if jeans tonight at TJMaxx. One pair are Lucky Jeans for $34, down from $100 and another pair that I'm sure of the designer, but they were $16, down from $50. They both are skinny jeans and a size 8!!!!!!! Yes I have lost 40 lbs.! I'm so happy! I actually am back to myself, I love shopping again. Clothes actually look good on me now. It has done wonders for my self esteem. I've always been thin, so when I put on all this weight, I felt super ugly and hated the way everything looked on me. Now, I want all the clothes.
Whatever Whore!
That's great Winnie. I saw a pair of teal/turquoise lucky brand jeans but they were still around 40 bucks so I didn't even dare try them on. Oh and the fur collar is removable!
I seen those exact jeans tonight, but I figured I would stick with the regular denim color. I don't know if I'm chic enough to pull off the colored ones yet, but they do draw me in.
Whatever Whore!
When you get them, you have to model for us.
I will, and maybe I will model my ones I bought tomorrow. One of them has the bling on the back pockets, so yeah my butt is belonged out in them.
Whatever Whore!
I don't know where else to post this but lately it seems like I can't moisturize enough. I can only use a certain few moisturizers because I have really sensitive skin, and the best of the bunch is a collegen complex which is reallly super hydrating. I still find myself applying it like three times in the morning before I do my makeup but halfway through the day I have little dry flakey patches. I also have really itchy boobs all day and it's driving me insane! Does anyone have any tips?
I would love to know more about moisturizing the hands, because mine have been dead for several weeks now. It's painful, icky, and not to mention embarrassing when other people notice it.
There is an AWESOME hand cream called O'Keefe's Working Hands. When I worked outdoors in the winter time my hands used to crack and bleed and it was the only thing that fixed them.
" alt="" />
It takes a little while to sink in though, so I recommend using it at night with gloves rather than during the day.
People also swear by this stuff, but I get weirded out by the name, haha.
i have that problem, too. when i was still with h&m sometimes especially during winter my fingertips where so rough that silky fabrics stuck to them, it was awful.
i recommend using plastic gloves for any sort of household cleaning, that helped me.
Yeah the whole wearing gloves, with moisturizer/ointment, at night thing should help. Also drink more water.
Vitamin E should also help with itchiness. If it's good enough for a baby's bottom it should work wonders on your boobs.
I use this all over my body and it's the best stuff I've ever used because it's not greasy, it's super aborbant, and it lasts until the next time I bathe.

I live in the South, and while our winters aren't as harsh as those in New York, the winter air can be very arid, causing very dry skin. CVS makes a store brand equivilant that's a few dollars less than the Cetaphil brand and works the same.
I use this for my hands.

Burt's Bees handcreams and balms are also lovely.
Everytime I wash my hands I use a handcream afterwards, otherwise my hands feel so dry and horrible. I think I must've been a farmer in a past life.
This is my grandma's trick for soft hands, she always has had the softest hands I've ever felt with baby delicate skin, yet she was a homemaker her entire life which equals a lot of work with the hands- scrubbing things and washing things daily.
You won't want to do it if you have any sort of cuts or cracks in your hands, but it works wonders if they are just dry and icky.
You mix a couple of tablespoons of salt with about a quarter cup of olive oil and the basically scrub your hands with the mixture for a couple of minutes. Like you were scrubbing really well with soap to disinfect your hands. Then rinse them off, use a little soft soap if you need, or just wipe them dry with a clean rag.
The salt exfoliates the skin and removes any flakiness and dead skin cells and the olive oil deep moisturizes.
Do it every day or twice a day any your hands will feel like a baby's.
i do the same but with sugar.
I use a Romanian moisturizer with almonds and yoghurt, but for scrubbing I sometimes (read: once a month or less) use honey and corn starch. But you need the rougher variety, not the flour-like one. Baby skin in 5 minutes.
Kiehl's also have a pretty good hand heavy duty hand cream, but it does leave that slightly oily feeling, I tend to use it only at night and use something else during the day.
Seconding the Cetaphil reccomendation, too.
I didn't realise that Kiehl's made products for women. I love the look of their stores and packaging.
Oh yeah.. they don't really specifically market to anyone in particular, it's all very 'pharmaceutical'. My husband has used their products for years and years. I've used their Ultra Facial Cleanser and Moisturiser in the past, not using them at the moment though, but I switch products a lot. Their Avocado eye cream is nice, too.
If you go in there they'll give you decent sized samples of pretty much any product you're interested in.
Everyone says use apple cider vinegar on your hair and skin to Ph balance, so I'm out of conditioner and trying it before I shower.
I smell like a fucking salad. This better work.
It's also supposed to help with the hair's brilliance. And you have to rinse with water afterwards, obviously.
Next week I'm going out for drinks with some of the classmates.
This is the location:

What should I wear?
I'd buy this from H&M and pair it with skinny black jeans

...ooor this dress, with brown Mary Janes

I want the t-shirt because it'll be cold and late at night and I'm not keen on showing my legs in such circumstances. Also, the dress looks a bit too fancy for the location.
Halp?
I think the shirt is cute, and black skinny jeans are a good go-to when you don't know if something's going to be casual or dressy or somewhere in that awkward area in between. I would def go the jeans route.
I've been to that club before, and people dress from everyday stuff to casual and even smart casual. I just don't wanna get too fancy and overdress compared to the other girls I'm going with.
what shoes will you wear with the jeans? boots or something?
Black oxford shoes
I bought the t-shirt. I actually wanted it in mint, but they didn't have it in the store. It looks pretty nice, I think I'll wear it with a turquoise bra.
want !

this is a blowdryer btw !
Wow! Your neighbors might get freaked out if you would happen to dry your hair in front of a window.

Doesn't it suck having expensive taste?
Even when I shop at TJMAXX or Marshalls I end up picking out the more expensive items that still end up costing around 100-200 dollars. Even though it's original cost value was 300-500 dollars I can't bring myself to spending over 100 dollars for a clothing item I might end up ruining with paint or beer.
I tried on this delicious coat by FRee People the other day and it was 120 dollars. It was funky but cute and I want it.
