Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
I don't think the full grey would look good with the green earrings, neither the black.
I'd go with the tartan grey and black.
what are the shoes?
Yes, do you own any black boots?
I have boots, but they're a bit tight around the calves. I'll go with black Oxford shoes.
The socks are very similar to these

Those sock are good socks.
I'll post pictures tonight, then.

i checked out that blog and i will definitely follow it now.
I finally bought new winter shoes yesterday! I'm so happy that's done. They were expensive, but yeah, good quality.

I need to go buy boots, but the day that's best for me to do it is Sunday, and not a damn thing is open on Sundays.
those are pretty cute for sturdy winter shoes
Are pencil skirts supposed to be down to the knees? I'm looking at clothing stores online (Zara for example), and the ones they have are only in that length! I have been looking for a pencil skirt for quite a while now, but I don't want it that length, preferably just a tad shorter.
Traditionally, yes a pencil skirt is to the knee.. they seem to vary a bit from season to season these days. Maybe try ASOS?
Or you could buy a longer one and have it shortened.
Maybe I should give the traditional pencil skirt a try, but I feel like it'd make me look shorter.
I bought me some new pants today, YAY! I also bought some beads and made my own bracelet.
I bought some new perfume. It's YSL Parisienne.
I love the dress and crown (?) that our princess wore to the Royal Wedding in Luxembourg.

And look at that train!

I got some Gap Body sweatpants the other day too.. in fact I'm wearing them right now. Wouldn't be caught dead in them outside of the house, but they are so damn soft and comfy.
I got one of those long soft knit cardigans with the metal buttons too! In black, of course. TWINS!
I do like Gap for basics.
I don't think I've ever shopped at the GAP.
I also love GAP for essentials. When I was a kid, I used to live in their colourful tracksuits and jeans (and still buy their jeans). It's weird because in the UK, GAP is not considered cheap and has a rep for being quite fashionable.
On an unrelated note, my newsagents now stock Bust magazine, which is nice. I think a lot of their craft designs are a bit rubbish but it's kind of fun to read and they recommend books I'd like to read.
GAP is pretty expensive here. I only had a winter jacket once, and the awesome super warm hat that Alecia gave me for Christmas last year.
I have a GAP maternity top and it's the comfiest thing ever. I wear it as a nightie, the fabric is so super soft and nice. I got it on TradeMe (like ebay), we don't have Gap here.
Last year I received a email from Ambecrombie and Finch for a redline sale. They had their $60 sweats marked down to $20 and $25. So, I bought a pair, and I must say, they are the softest sweats I've ever had. I wouldn't wear them outside, as they are a juniors wear, but they are perfect for curling up on the couch and lazy days when I don't go anywhere. I will be getting more this year at the end of season sale. I do a lot of my shopping off season anymore. Also, I tend to buy a lot more of the basics and not trendy, so I can wear them longer. You can always perk up or change the style up with great accessories I think.
Whatever Whore!
I ordered stuff from ASOS and had to send it all back. Why can't they be consistent with their damn sizing.
Annoying!
I'm not even looking at their emails right now, too tempting.
I would really like a new handbag though.
My sister bought a pair of these for work, but then didn't like the way they felt on her ankles so she gave them to me. I haven't decided if I like them or not yet. I change my mind about them every time I look at them. I suppose I like them more than I don't like them, I don't think I ever would have bought them myself however. have yet to wear them.
You could rock those with some black jeans.
Yeah, they probably would. That is a good idea.
They might look good with a shorter skirt too. I don't think they would go well with a long one.
I'm like you Pepper, I like them and I don't. I think you're gonna have to give them a whirl to really know. Some shoes you just have to put on to really get a good idea. Also I think you're right about the shorter skirt, not long. In the end, I think you can definitely rock those.
Whatever Whore!
I'm gonna step out and say I don't really like them, but that's just me. They look like hiking/workman's boots, which I'm sure means they're pretty comfy, at least.
I don't like the leather's texture too much. Then again, this is what I wear every winter as soon as it drops below 40F, so no one should really mind me.

That style of Timberland are classic, though! Always wanted a pair whilst growing up.
I've got some navy desert boots (like the pic below). They were a real bargain (£15 from the market) but one of my friends said they were "dykey" so I don't wear them much. Being curvy, I have a fear of looking bulky.

The only kind of shoes I own that aren't heels, sandals, ballet flats, or flip flops are a pair of Nikes for working out and dress boots in black and brown. Like these:

I'm thinking about getting some Muk Luk's for around the house this winter...they have nice boot sock slipper type things.
Pepper, I don't care for those shoes just because they're not my style, but they're nice looking for someone who does wear that style of shoe.
They're very good when it's cold outside. I'd take warm feet anytime over elegance. I simply can't wander about in a cute trench coat and heels when it's freezing. Luckily I'm not a star so I don't have to mind that and can bundle up as much as I like.
And then Alecia comes and gets the thread all girly again. Those are gorgeous!
Like I said, my sister bought them originally as work shoes. Normally she mostly wears heels. But for work she needs something flat, she is a restaurant manager at one job and a clerk at the other, so she is on her feet for entire shifts (and sometimes goes straight from one job to the other for basically a 16 hour work day).
I really like the boots Alecia posted.

I've been wanting these for awhile. And another pair that's a light grey or light brown.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
So I was at Zara today, and I accidentally on purpose tried on a pair of $400 leather pants that I can in no way afford, and they looked and felt amazing, and now I am mad at myself.

Oh, the dress goes maybe 1-2 cm above the knees.
