Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
Ronnie looks shnazzy, even with those long monkey arms of his.
danke. your checks are also in the mail.
He looks good for 51.
wearing a jacket was out of the question since i didn't have time to get one and have it tailored. i have long monkey arms.
i know some people feel violent if they see a waistcoat like what i have here and not have a jacket to go with but i didn't really care. i ended up using the tie since it was a bit more formal and appropriate for the wedding.
no tie:

with tie:

i fucking hate weddings and dressing up.
the waistcoat is about 1-2 cm too short and the pants are a tad bit tight too. it does look good though.
anna della russo for h&m. in stores tomorrow !
just in time for halloween, or a nice swinger party.
EDIT_
I want this jacket really bad, but it's NOK 900, which is over EUR 100.

If you've got the money, I think you should buy it. 100 Euros is not unreasonable for a good quality coat.
Yeah, I was thinking the same. The coat I have now was quite expensive as well, but I've worn it many years. Now it's finally time for something new.
I'll have to see if I can find it in a store around here, and try it on, because I'm not too keen on buying clothes online.
I really love that coat Imke. I think you should definitely get it if you can afford it.
german precision!
well, you rock it anyway !
what does anyone think of these boots? I like the red colour, but I'm afraid it won't go with too much stuff (even though I wear mostly dark colours, so really it should be fine) .. it comes in black but the black leather looks too shiny

I love those boots. They look freakin' awesome. I'm not a big fan of red in general, and the thing I don't like about those in particular is the brown heel. Seems out of place with the red.
so you prefer the red, or the black?
I love those, I think the red ones are best.
I'm glad you like them, pepper, I know you're a boot girl!
looking on other sites, I think the red isn't quite as bright as that picture makes them look, it's a little darker brick red. I think I might get them if I don't find anything better. Figure they'll be good for work or weekend wear
Oh, sorry, I forgot to say, but I definitely prefer the black.
I like both pairs, perhaps with a slight preference for the red ones.

Yeah, I'd were the heck out of those.
I actually need some new boots, something a bit dressier, for change of paces.

some velvet doc martens, perhaps?

so impractical, but they are pretty
there are a lot of nice boots around this season
haha yes. Perfect.
really nice boots, kit. especially the red one. gotta love red shoes.
I love the red boots. The heel looks really comfortable too.
Red shoes are fantastic, they can just add a touch of colour and fun to an outfit. I love those red boots, and they'll suit you very well, Kit.
(They're not too Ronald McDonald too, some red boots are.)
this is kinda cute.

I saw those on tumblr a while ago. I particularly like the reaction of the guy in the second picture.

Love them both but the black pair slightly more; don't like the red pair's heel colour. I think it makes them look cheaper. Maybe that's me being weird and pedantic though.
I go for red! The black is definitely too shiny.
He's looks kinda hot too, which helps.
That link got a lot of "Awwwws" and "Ohhhhhs" from me.
Same! I told my boyfriend he better react like them.
I am so lost as to where this post belongs, so I've decided to dump it here:
I'm thinking about making healthy snacks (haha, what the hell, I wrote "chicks" at first....) next weekend, instead of buying candy. Then I can combine my love for baking/cooking with snack time.
My first idea was to make apple chips (with cinnamon and nutmeg), which are thinly sliced apples that are put in the oven for like an hour and a half.

Does anybody else have any smart ideas when it comes to making healthy snacks? Tried something that came out awesome? I'm also considering zucchini, carrot and parsnip frittata fingers.

I'm not sure they count as healthy, as you have to use oil, but you can do something else with apple slices. Cover them in pancake batter, then fry them in a pan, and add cinnamon powder sugar when they're ready. That's pretty good and it doesn't take long preparing, either.
I was going to ask this in the Health and Fitness thread, Imke!
I love the idea of those apple chips. I seem to remember Jamie Oliver having a similar snack recipe for kids' lunchboxes. I think it was in The Return of the Naked Chef cookbook. I'll have a look for it.
Hah, yeah, I was about to post this in the Health and Fitness thread, but then changed my mind.
Hattie, I'll let you know how the apple chips turned out when I've made them! Think I'll do it tomorrow. If you do find the other recipe, please let me know.
there's this blog that I follow and she makes a lot of healthier snack foods and things with alternative grains and fruit and stuff, maybe you could check it out:
Thanks! There are definitely great recipes on there, but quite some of them contain a lot of ingredients. I'm trying to keep it a bit more simple.
yeah, I've never really made anything on there for that reason. my Mum used to make Zucchini frittata fingers like that when we were kids (we called it Zucchini slice), it's delicious. Basically like a quiche with no crust.
What the fuck, Accessorize?
I really wanted a pair of ruffled panties, and I knew this was the place to go.
These

these

or these

With a slight preference for the last pair. On their website, these were around 6 pounds (about 9 bucks). A bit too much for some crappy non-cotton stuff I'd only wear when I get laid (which is not too often), but meh.
Surprise, however! Romanian Accessorize has to be schizophrenic and sell them for almost 10 pounds. Hell, that's almost double! So I bought nothing and cursed them and figured I could buy a cardigan for that money, but I didn't find any cute one, so I just bought tea (3 varieties, though) and some coconut cookies.
Oh and after the Accessorize disappointment, I entered Oysho, which was right next to this one. First thing I see: gorgeous burgundy lace bra. One look at the price tag: $35. Um, no.
If I get you for Secret Santa I could buy them for you.
That would probably be really creepy though.
Maybe they go on sale...some time. If not, I'll drop hints to my girlfriends, for Christmas. After all, the two babydolls I own (and almost never worn) are from them, as well.
Thanks, though. Or I could just hope to find something nice when I visit England again, hopefully next year. They also had that 10% off deal for students.
I bet Irina will get knickers from her Secret Santa now. Then her mum will really wonder what this penpal thing is about!
Better go post your pantie size along with your shirt size.

My mom got me on this chia pudding kick. It's delicious, simple, and good for you.
All you need are chia seeds and almond milk(I guess you could choose whatever milk you prefer). So you pour the chia seeds in the milk and let them expand for an hour then eat. I'm sure you can find the recipe online somewhere and it might take less time. Anyway we use half almond milk and half coconut milk. It's a bit strange in texture but it reminds me of tapioca pudding with a lil crunch. I like it.
I always made sure to tone down my gifts from Culties before. And I somehow managed not to show my parents what I got from my girlfriends, both years that they got me babydolls.
That being said, Sarah, if you get to be my Secret Santa, I could totally do with just Whittaker's chocolate. 100% serious.
I am still deciding about the boots, but I did buy myself a new handbag for work today. I'd been looking for a while, wandered into TJ Maxx on my lunch break and this one was less than half retail price. It's really nice leather and I love the lining too. The only difference to the pics below is mine has a leopard print pony/calf skin flap on the front pocket where the buckle is.
double post dammit
one for the Gosling girls: http://thoughtcatalog.com/2012/gif-guide-to-ryan-gosling/
I appreciate this.
I am a Gosling girl.
This evening it's the opening ceremony for my MA program. I want to wear a similar dress to this one
(it looks almost the same, with a different cleavage), but I only have a pair of grey cotton tights. I need something warm because it'll be really cold, and I really want to wear the dress. So my question is: do I wear transparent tights with knee-high socks (although I've never done it before), or should I just go with the grey tights?
I have dark blue, black, tartan (black and grey) and full black knee-highs. What colour? I'd pick the black because they're thigh-high and that means a warmer Irina, but I don't wanna look like I'm mourning. Oh and I'll be wearing mint/very light blue earrings. Pretty statement-ish, I'd say, they're the ones from Sarah. That's all for accessories.

I like that watch, it's so funky!
That jacket will be great on Imke.
Damien is so scrumptious!
