Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
I was going to suggest ballet flats, but then remembered it's raining most of the time out there. By the way, I saw there are a lot of flooded towns around the UK this week, is London safe?
Yeah, live in ballet pumps the rest of the year, but don't fancy my chances in them when it gets icy.
Not much of a risk in London, luckily. It's usually towns in the north that get the brunt of it, like Yorkshire.
I saw pretty scary stuff on the news, so that's why I was asking.
Yeah, it's pretty awful and happens every few years in those areas. The flooding defences just aren't good enough.
Something the Dutch could teach you perhaps?
Definitely
I don't mind those flatforms, Hattie. Some of them are ugly, but the ones you posted are alright
I got some wedge heels for work but they ended up being too high so I got some cute flats instead. I love them.
They basically look like these but in a deep purple/burgundy color.

I've never heard of flatforms! I like them.
I like the red ones jazzy posted, I would wear those, in that color.
I went bra shopping today and found out I was wearing the wrong size bra...again. Turns out I'm a 32 C which is the most awkward size ever. Anyway, I got an awesome bra. I almost got two but they didn't have the other one in my size and the color I needed. I'm wearing it and it's amazing how good I feel wearing the right size bra.
I also bought a watch that I was on the hunt for. I will post pics later.
I need a couple of properly fitting bras. The one I have suck.
Yeah, one of my better fitting bras took a dump so I needed to go buy one like several months ago.
It's like a breath of fresh air not having to adjust my bra every few seconds.
My friend swears by the bras she gets at nordstrom, she had herself fitted and all that stuff.
The problem is they are like $80 a pop.
I like the Victoria Secret bras but they are a lil pricey too. The thing is I only buy two(black and nude) and wear them until they're dead. I don't think I could spend $80 for a bra. I did buy a $120 bra once but I returned it because the removable strap kept falling off.
The problem is they are like $80 a pop.
Get fitted in a department store, write down the clerk's recommendations, then go look at ebay and Amazon. You can find a ton of deals in those two places and not pay anywhere the full retail price. Ebay has a lot of listings for new items (still with the tag) at a fraction of the cost.
Yeah, that is a good idea Alecia.

I need to make you my personal shopper.
Oh and here's the watch I got. I guess this is what it looks like in the dark.

Right now it's all matte black. I feel like a sassy Batman.
That's awesome.
These are are couple of the pieces of jewelry that my grandma gave me that I have been meaning to get around to posting. The bracelet and earrings are ivory and I feel a little guilty about that except they belonged to my great grandma so I don't, because I am allowed to have heirlooms. I've yet to wear those. The pin also belonged to my great grandma and the ring is Rubies. My grandma had been saving it forever for my sister (because her name is Ruby) but my sister didn't want it so I get it. It is actually the second ruby ring I have been given because of this reason, I'll dig the other one out sometime. I wear the ring all the time.
I love that ring. It suits you.
Yeah, I really really love the ring.
There are a few other items I'll take pictures of soon.
The red in the rubies is much darker and redish, I couldn't get the light right and it looks sort of pink in the picture.
that ring is beautiful, and I love the pin also!
my asos order came today. i love my new tiger jumper!
I also got some chonies!

I haven't tried them on yet but they look comfy.
That style is usually comfortable.
I remember people telling me I was dumb once upon a time for spending $10 a pair on panties. too much or something.
I feel it necessary to warn you all about buying this gel Maybelline eye liner:

Just don't do it! The first application looks good, but the brush becomes really clumpy and horrid thereafter, even after cleaning it! It's also not waterproof. Stick with eye pencils or liquid pens.

Right now it's all matte black. I feel like a sassy Batman.
Oh my god, that's so cool, Jaz! Love it! I want a Baby G again!
I've never tried any of the gel liners... I got a sample of the Laura Mercier cake liner which has decent staying power but is a little annoying to use, you have to mix water with it to get it to be a paste then apply it... I basically only use my Kat Von D liquid eyeliner pen now. the best.
I just bought a Revlon pen eyeliner. I love how easy it is to use.
I rather upset my boyfriend last night over his new haircut.
He usually gets a short back and sides but this time the woman completely gelled it and gave him a side parting. He looks like an army officer from Downton Abbey! (I didn't tell him that obviously). I told him it was nice, but was apparently very unconvincing. Even though I said "I didn't mind" and that "If you like it I'm happy" (it's his hair afterall) but he got really grumpy. In the end I just shouted "I hate hair gel!" Our neighbours must think we're freaks.
Anyway, this morning, he apologised for being grumpy all evening, I apologised for being insensitive and he went on to work without the gel.
What's your male grooming pethate?
I'm sorry Hattie... that made me laugh so much.
Don't worry, Pep, it is funny.
I did even laugh at him, especially when he said:
"Why don't you like it??? The hairdresser said I looked really handsome! Why don't you like when I comb my hair back? My Mum thinks it looks really good! You're the only person that doesn't!"
Oh man.
Haha, Hattie... If my boyfriend told me he "doesn't mind it", I'd be annoyed.
Well, I did start in saying I liked it, but he kept digging!
...I understand what you're saying though
It's one of those things that you hate to hear, but end up saying yourself to not hurt the other person's feelings.
EDIT_
I want this jacket really bad, but it's NOK 900, which is over EUR 100.

that's an awesome jacket Imke, perhaps you can find a coupon code or wait for a sale?
If i had a male grooming pet hate hair gel would probably be right up there. men or women who use too much product in their hair - so much that its visible - annoy me
Wow, Imke, that jacket is gorgeous! A bit expensive though, maybe wait for the mid-season sale?
i suppose i can share these here. i went to a wedding last july and couldn't decide if i needed to wear a tie or not.
wearing a jacket was out of the question since i didn't have time to get one and have it tailored. i have long monkey arms.
i know some people feel violent if they see a waistcoat like what i have here and not have a jacket to go with but i didn't really care. i ended up using the tie since it was a bit more formal and appropriate for the wedding.
no tie:

with tie:

i fucking hate weddings and dressing up.
I think the waistcoat went really well with the way you cuffed up your shirt. It was July, not wearing a jacket could be excused.
thanks and yeah, i remember i took into consideration the weather too.
they had an outdoor wedding in paso robles, a location that's dry and hot in the summer and where they grow a ton of grapes. it was pleasantly cool during the ceremony since it was late afternoon and shaded but the drive up for 6 hours was unbearably hot.
What's cookin' good lookin'?

i also got this pair of jack purcells on sale since my go-to pair of chucks is starting to fall apart.

hard to match with jeans though but i do have a pair of khaki linen pants to go with.
it makes me look like i'm at a beach resort when i wear it with a long sleeved white shirt.
so did you go with the tie or no tie? I think no tie goes better with the semi-formal look you have going there. if you were wearing a jacket then def a tie, but otherwise nah.
ended up using the tie. i thought without it would be too informal.
in case i look really bad compared to the other guests, i rationalized that i can always take it off but luckily it went ok.
Pretty sure one of my brothers wore almost that exact same outfit to a wedding (without the tie), was a beach wedding so it was appropriate. in my experience weddings are like every other event in life - some people will be underdressed for the occasion, and some will be overdressed. if you're somewhere in the middle you're doing alright.

For reals! I couldn't decide if I liked tie or no tie better since you make em both look so good.
That's what you should've worn to the wedding.
your check is in the mail, miss. thanks for the kind words.
in case anyone was wondering, this is how i roll the sleeves so it doesn't look like i'm wearing a bagel on my arm.

You teach me things.

I'm desperate for a nice pair of tan leather (or faux leather) work shoes (preferably tassled loafers) for winter but I am finding it really hard to find anything good quality that's not super expensive or semi-rain resistant looking!
Whiiiiine.
Incidentally, what do you guys think of those flatform shoes? They look good for cretins who can't walk in heels (i.e. me).
