Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
Me being girly this past month

Sexy lady! Nice sandals, where are they from?
Yesterday I treated myself to these:

It's nice to see you smile, Jaz!
Thanks ladies. I know I'm always so serious lol.
The sandals are by Minnetonka but I got them at TJMaxx or Marshalls...I don't remember.
Amazing Jaz.
This thread has really brought to my attention the fact that mostly the androgynous sides of my personality have come to the forefront in the past couple years. Ever since I cut out short skirts and cleavage, I haven't added anything particularly feminine back into my wardrobe.

KIWILOOK.COM ?
Girls!
I am having an Olympic opening ceremony party tomorrow night and don't really want to spend much time doing food preparation as I won't get home from work until 6pm (luckily boyfriend, who's on holiday, is tidying the flat all day tomorrow
).
I'm just doing finger food as people are coming from 8pm and I've made the mistake of cooking for large amounts of people in the past (it was stressful).
Here's what I'm serving so far:
Cheese straws
Bread with sundried tomatoes with olive oil and balsamic to dip
Raw vegetables with fresh humous
hot mini sausages with sesame seed and honey marinade
Union Jack cupcakes (making tonight)
Pimms No.1 with sliced orange/strawberry/cucumber/mint
Wine/beer
Can anyone suggest any other suitable party food which can be prepared very easily and quickly?
Thanks a million!
Everyone loves queso
Canapes? I had some a couple weeks ago and they were very tasty. A small piece of bread, brie and a grape for example. We also had a combination with ham, and one with salmon. They're easy to make and yummy!
yeah you could do little canapes with smoked salmon, sour cream, capers and dill
a fruit/cheese plate always goes over well and is a cinch to put together.
rockmelon/cantaloupe slices wrapped in proscuitto
cut watermelon into bite-sized cubes, top with a smaller cube of feta cheese (and a mint leaf if you can be bothered) and stick each one through with a toothpick and drizzle ever so lightly with balsamic vinegar
Great ideas guys, thanks. Melon and proscuitto is a great combo!
The decorations are coming out...

(sorry the photo is so dark!)
I like your Union Jack garland!
I got a few dresses this weekend. These two are especially girly.

and these shoes that I fell in love with

I want to wear them everyday!
You gotta model them for us!
I will. Might do a silly photoshoot tonight since I didn't go out. Also I just started following you on tumblr Irina. I caved in and decided to get one because I needed something to get away from my routine.
Cool! Followed you back.
those dresses are gonna look amazing with those shoes!
Did everyone see my new necklace? Just in case you didn't see it...

Can you tell that I'm excited about it and totally in love with it?

covet covet covet

Looks like Kryptonite. I love the color and the bottom part of the heel. The rock candy looking part is a bit much for my taste though.
So, quite some weeks after I bought jeans, I will finally show them off:

Very nice!!
Today I got my latest creation! We recently had an 18k gold necklace set with pairs of diamonds at one of our sales. It didn't sell at half price, so I bought it at that price, minus my own commission. I then paid $20 to have all of the diamond sets cut out and sold the gold. Total it cost me $770 and I sold the gold for $1030. I didn't expect that, I guess we had the necklace under priced a bit to start with. Anyway, I wanted to make some earrings out of the diamonds and I told my mom and she decided to have two pair made, on for me and one for my sister and give them to us for Christmas.
Well, I picked them up today, but I love them too much to wait for Christmas, so I'm going to wear them until then and let her wrap them up for me when the time comes.
This is what they looked like before:

This is what they look like now:

The cost to have them made was $95. I have eight diamond pairs left, I think we are going to make a pendant for my other sister.

Those are really pretty, Melody!
Imke are your jeans blue or grey? I can't tell.
Either way, they look really nice
Love the earrings Melody.
My grandma went through her jewelry box with me and gave me all kinds of wonderful things, many of them vintage.
Some of the items I should probably feel guilty about, such as an ivory bracelet and clip on earrings to match, but how can I when they are so beautiful and also so old? It isn't new ivory, and probably was acquired and made into jewelry before it was even illegal. If it were new I would not want or accept it.
the one bracelet I want the most she won't let me have.
It belonged to my great grandma and is that old early 20th century costume style, thick like a cuff, silver pieces linked together with Aztec glyphs molded all over it. She said I can't have it because the links holding the pieces together are too delicate and if it is worn her jeweler says it will fall apart. Ahhh. I'll have to talk her into having it repaired and giving it too me, I would certainly cherish it forever. Not something I would ever part with.
I'll have to take pictures later to post.
Either way, they look really nice
They're grey/blackish. Thanks!
I have no dress for my birthday, which is next month, so I was considering buying this piece from H&M:

And it even comes in my size, so that's perfect.
Just that I'm not sure I'm ready for a red dress yet.
Why not?
I don't like being the centre of attention when I go out and red tends to do that to you.
But it's your birthday so you can!
I think you'd look nice in red.
Are you having a party, then?
You were wearing a red bikini, at the beach no? I think you're ready for a red dress. Plus, like Hattie said, it's your birthday!
I'll probably go out for tea with my friends at an awesome teahouse with a terrace. And the bikini was orange and it originally belonged to my mum almost 20 years ago.
that's so cool. I wish my mother had kept all her awesome old clothes, but she's one of those types that always throws things out.
I just found out that Jordi Labanda (fashion stationery manufacturer) is a man. And now I feel silly because Jordi is such an obvious male Catalan name that I should've known it.
Just that it's hard to imagine a man designed these:

I still have a grey notebook, a used green notepad (the one pictured), and various ballpoint and fountain pens (the blue one and two sets from an earlier collection). And some sort of case for notebooks which can be held under the arm. The problem is that everything is very expensive, like 20 bucks a medium-sized notebook, and nobody imports their pens anymore.

This is awesome.
i´m in love with zara home. i´ve just ordered the prettiest spoons.

Why are the girls' graphic tees at Urban Outfitters so much cooler than the guys' graphic tees? This should be resolved.
You could buy it for your girlfriend instead!
My friend's sister used to work as a buyer there, shame she doesn't anymore because I love their expensive designer stuff and would love a discount!

those are really nice. I don't think we have Zara home in the USA yet
I recently got two new dresses in the ASOS sale:

not crazy about the belt on the striped dress, but I have plenty of others I can pair with it
I love the black one!
I love the first one.
Those spoons intimidate me. They are TOO pretty.

OMG,where has this stuff been all my life?!?!?!?!?!?
In a heaven of stationery!

yeah, i can´t really see myself eating yoghurt with them either. but they´ll make great props and they were only 10 euros, so i could´t resist. i ordered two little mother-of-pearl bowls to go with them and i already have a picture in mind with frozen rasp- and blackberries.

Very nice! I agree that the belt on the striped dress is a little 'different'. It would look nice without, even!
I just used ASOS for the first time the other day - it's amazing! I bought that raspbery ring from Ted Baker in the sale on there from £50 to £15 (it looks a lot darker in the picture than in real life). It came with a really pretty jewellery bag.

Girls, I love this. Lily of the valley is one of my favourite scents in the world.
