I saw a chick at school today with a leopard print tatt on her thigh. It was fucking dumb. It was like a patch of really bad leopard print on her thigh.

Yeah, that's dumb. My sister wouldn't go that far, fo sho.

I am wearing a tiger print dress today. I admit that some people can go too far with the exotic animal look though.

And I can't believe the model is wearing black tights with that dress - totally kills it!

so many sites show dresses like that. i get it if its winter and you're wearing a blazer or something too, but just with the dress it looks really silly.

I suppose at least I got good wear out of them - I think I wore them about 3-4 days a week! Think I'm gonna need to hit the shops for a replacement pair of black flats.

How's the shoe shopping going for the rest of you? I swear Imke and someone else said they were struggling...

I've been looking for sandals (white or light beige) for a few weeks now. I only found some super cheap pairs, which I probably won't buy, unless I wanna wear them for a month before they fall apart. Sad about those shoes, Hattie, they were really pretty. And work-friendly.

I haven't bought anything yet. I didn't even find anything I liked! Probably didn't help that my boyfriend was with me though, he gets bored. Should probably go look again on my own.

Imke - I have the same problem. Boyfriend loves clothes shopping... if we're going for him! Can you be quite casual at your workplace?

at least your bf will go clothes shopping at all! my husband haaates any kind of clothes shopping, unless it's buying band t-shirts. i can't even get him to go shopping for himself, and if i buy him something he won't wear it unless i tell him to because its 'too new'. i told him that's the point.

so I just rented a dress for the wedding online. It arrives 2 days before the wedding, which is crazy, I really hope it fits, but you get two sizes for the price of one rental, and they overnight or sameday you another size if neither of those fit. So I hope it all turns out ok.... I am only a little freaked out.

but yes, you can actually order a backup dress from the same or a lower price bracket for an extra $25, so I did that.

I played with makeup last night instead of studying

ooh, pretty colours .. what did you use?

I used:

adventurous

sapphire ice
dynamite drama
purple amethyst

very black
and a black liquid liner underneath the purple eye liner as well as white eyeliner on the lower inner lid.

I went crazy with color....as always.

I also used a brown/bronze color eyeshadow.

It looks awesome though, I really like the colour combinations you used. I especially love the turquoise shadow with the colour of that eyeliner.

I went to Sephora today, because on Saturday I dropped my blush from about face height on to the bathroom floor and it got all smashed up. It was getting low, but it was still a bummer to drop it like that. Had to clean pink powder out of the tile grout

I was just going to get the same blush (Benefit Sugarbomb) but ended up with this Tarte blush in 'Dollface', which looks really pink in the photo and in the pot, but it's actually really nice for me, since I'm such a whitey

The prom is on Friday and I don't know what colour I should paint my nails. This is the dress I'm wearing, with black strappy sandals, a black clutch and white crystal jewellery.

I'm thinking either full dark purple, or reverse French, with just a purple line instead of the usual white one. Someone also suggested mint, but I'm not a fan of such combinations. My make up will probably be purple-based too.
Advice?

Also, my toenails are tiny, should I paint them too or just use transparent nail polish?

I'd go subtle with the polish, like something very neutral on both your hands and toes. One of the younger girls might have a different opinion, though, because I tend to be more reserved when it comes to funky nail polish. I think there might be too much going on if you have loud polish (to me, dark purple is loud). Definitely don't go with mint.

Yeah, I think mint is too much. I don't colour block, I don't wear funky combinations, and I always always match colours. If only I had a very light lilac one...

yeah, I'd probably go with a light blush colour or something like the lightest colour in your dress.. the reverse french sounds cool too

I've checked the lilac one and it's still fine. It basically looks like this, only smoother and milkier:

For my high school prom I went to a make-up artist and she just caked everything on my face. I think it took me 15 minutes to take it all off properly. I want my face to breathe.

Skin breathing is good. plus you always look like you have really nice skin, I'm sure you can't have that much to cover up... just enhance

Aw thanks. Not all the time, but I'm trying. I've actually noticed that this past month, when I haven't been to uni and haven't been out on a regular basis, not wearing foundation did wonders for my skin. It's smoother and it has less pimples, blackheads etc. I'll try and keep it up during the summer, although sunblock is covering my pores when I go outside

I think you should do the reverse french tip with the lilac color as the base and the purple as the tip. Also I have GIANT ORANGE CO...lored nails

The make-up I made myself lasted over 9 hours. I'll post pictures tomorrow, before going to the prom and 15 minutes ago. I'm proud.

Tried on 12 pairs of jeans at different stores yesterday evening, none of them were just right. Going back today, I'm thinking I'll have to settle for something that's not great but okay, because I need new jeans now.

My eyes have the wrong shape and I can't draw longer lines with any eyeliner, it just looks weird. Droopy eyelids, I hate you.

Y'all, my natural nails have gotten super strong and fairly long (but not too long or weird looking). I only stopped getting acrylics back in February, and I would've thought it would've taken longer to get them back to being healthy. I kept them trimmed and I've been very dedicated to taking care of them with daily applications of this stuff, so it definitely works:

So I'm thinking about painting them red now to match my toes. I'll get sick of it after 3 days but still.

My nails are naturally strong. They never chip, and I always have to keep them in warm water before trimming them. I hate using the nail file because it always smells like cutting bones and it's weird.
