Girls clubhouse! (Metrosexual boys welcome!)
yeah definitely not roses.. a spring bouquet sounds perfect. there are some nice tulips around lately, too
Orchids. She'll be all yours and i'm speaking from experience. They're very beautiful.
I love orchids. I knew a florist at this flower shop by my old place and he gave me free orchids for one of my school dances. It was really sweet.
Haha, true. If someone gave me a large bouquet of orchids I'd be in their bed the next instant.
For the record, i was already dating the girl when i sent them. It was valentine's day and i'd never had a girlfriend on valentine's before so i sent them to her job and they were way prettier than they'd looked online.
We saw an commercial for Edible Arrangements while in New York, we found them gorgeous :

Fruit bouquets are the best.

Oh wow, yummy!
I love blonde nurses.
Blonde nurses love flowers.
Blonde nurses love me?
Blonde nurses love flowers.
Blonde nurses love me?
Seems reasonable.
I wish it was socially acceptable for guys to get stuff like that because i want someone to send me an edible arrangement.
Know what that girl got me for valentine's day after i spent days finding the perfect flowers for her? Blank CDs. Girls aren't too good at giving gifts, i've realized.
I would totally get a dude a fruit bouquet. he wouldn't even have to be in the hospital.
also blank cds? that is one shitty gift. might as well have bought you a pack of paper towels, or post-it notes. I really agonise over buying gifts, because I always want them to be perfect. My husband is a real pain in the butt to buy for, because he'll never say anything he wants, always just 'you don't have to get me anything'. it's his birthday next week and I'm freaking out.
Haha - my boyfriend wants the world, it's a pain in the ass.
And blank cds???? That girl sounds special.
I think she has Asperger's.
or maybe she's just an asshole
so lusting after this dress:

really need to buy something to wear to this wedding at the end of june, but i don't even know where to start. HALP
What's all this? I have never been in here before...

That dress is lovely!

really need to buy something to wear to this wedding at the end of june, but i don't even know where to start. HALP
Totally you, and totally wearable for other occasions. Get it!
These are probably really uncomfortable (plastic) but I do love Ted Baker accessories

Not plastic, but also love:

those shoes are supercute. i love the vivienne westwood/melissa collaboration shoes, too.. but yeah, plastic shoes. wouldn't they get smelly/hot? reminds me of wearing jelly sandals when i was a kid.
so you don't think that dress is too casual for a wedding? i guess it depends on the accessories?
Definitely not too casual. Do you have a hat to wear?
You know, I think hats at weddings is pretty much an exclusively English thing. I haven't seen it here or in Australia
So these are like standard attire for weddings?
kinda.. I mean, that's high-society, obviously. but my Mum went to a couple of family weddings in England, and so did my grandparents, and all the women seem to wear hats or fascinators.
I think hats are worn in Southern weddings but a NY wedding...it would depend on the theme, location, bride of the wedding.
A simple-ish/smallish black fascinator would look great with that dress. It would really smarten it up if you are worried about looking too casual.
true, I wouldn't want to be the only one there wearing some kind of headwear though.
I think shaving is a tedious chore, no matter if you are male or female.
I accidentally cut open a pimple on my face, that I didn't even know was there.
I'm just shaving my armpits at the moment, I can't be bothered with my legs...it's winter anyway.
To be fair, I haven't been to a lot of weddings recently, but if you're upper middle class and beyond, a lot of the women wear hats. Not usually as outrageous as Beatrice and Eugenie's mind.
I think that Four Weddings and a Funeral may have set a benchmark...

Guys wear hats to weddings where i'm from, never seen a lady wear one.
I would just like to say that this stuff is disgusting and a shit lipbalm:

That is all.
noted. hmm, but how can you have petroleum jelly cocoa butter? that just sounds weird.
They probably just mixed some hot chocolate powder in it.
What I bought today from H&M:

Too bad the navy skirt isn't too clear, it has a beautiful lace pattern.
Cute patterns, Irina!
I don't know - it contains Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter? Either way it's really ineffective and I will be going back to the Burt's Bees stuff shortly...which doesn't contain petroleum!
those are definitely cute things Irina, I like the skirt a lot. What's in the black boxes?
how do you girls feel about this? i think i could pull it off... as long as it's not too orange

yeah, i don't like the tights either. but this wedding is in june, so i doubt (hope!) i'll be wearing tights anyway.. i have some nude coloured strappy heels that would probably look good with it.
has anyone tried this rent the runway thing? designer dress rentals.. seems like an ok deal, as long as they're in good condition. renttherunway.com
is it still considered bad luck to wear black to a wedding? what about navy?
I was hoping so. thanks! i wear so much black normally i'd like to get something colourful though
Those are the tea packs.
No, we stopped doing that around 1898.
Kit, I like the dress, just not with the tights.
Than maybe it's just Baptist and Protestant churches ...or is that just Easter Sunday these days?
My mom wore big hats a few times cuz well that's my mom.
And leopard print wedges?
Duh!
Knew it.

Aww, Derek, you're so cute!
I like Irina's recommendation of a mixed spring bouquet, but if in doubt just ask the florist! The more colour the better
