Is Burt's Bees stuff expensive in Europe?
Mid range really. Probably about £6 - £7.
That's less expensive than here I think. Well I know the chapstick I love is around 6 dollars now.
£6 - £7 is like $9-$10 here isn't?

yeah but don't they get paid more over there anyway? And what are you doing in the girl thread? Oh yeah you like Coldplay I forgot
Also, I come in here to look at the clothes you all post and then imagine you girls in them... later.

We don't have Burt's Bees, though I'd love it if we did. I buy some random nail polish from Golden Rose Paris which is super cheap but very fluid and it lasts long. Chapsticks are fruity NIVEA always and sometimes aloe vera random ones from the pharmacy.
I'm more pretentious about foundation and eye shadow, I only buy Sephora, Yves Rocher or L'Oreal. When I was younger I used Avon lipgloss, but now I can't stand the feeling.
Not. creepy.at. all.
Decided I was going to make an effort for the party tonight and bought the nail pen

Doing the leopard print design was really hard! They look like Flintstone eggs but I don't care!
Flintstone eggs are awesome. Nice costume.

What do you imagine them in now?
Tube tops and daisy-dukes.

I had a manicure done over two weeks ago with this new gel polish. Each coat she put on I had to dry for five minutes under a ultraviolet thingy. She said it wouldnt chip. I must say, it was worth it. Still no chips after two weeks and I hand wash dishes atleast twice a day. I will only have this for my nails from now on.
Whatever Whore!
I just had a manicure yesterday and noticed that gel stuff. I just got normal nail polish this time, but if I ever get a manicure again I'm going for the gel.
Harriet, you have great eyebrows. Oh, and the nails look cool.
Yay for cool nails! I'm planning on giving myself a manicure after we carve pumpkins today.
Oh fo sho! You have to get it. I really am this excited about it. No chipping!
Whatever Whore!

I've heard great things but I hate getting manicures at the nail places. They hurt me!

Thanks, unfortunately they already chipped whilst I was pumpkin carving! Going to do gold zebra print next.
And about the brows - I generally leave them to nature - it's down to a combination of laziness and admiration for Natalia Vodianova and Noel Gallagher!

Oh well, I can always revisit Irina's LC tumbler.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
Went shopping today. Sephora foundation, Cropp Town t-shirts and earrings, and random purple nail polish.

Close-up of the earrings.

Love the earrings and the Urban shirt. Nice shopping trip!
Whatever Whore!
Love the earrings, Irina. Looks like a successful shopping trip
I bought this on my lunch break today:

I'm becoming better at using liquid liner but I'm not giving up on the solid brush just yet.
I miss liquid eyeliner.
The last 5 years of my life have been wearing liquid eyeliner. It's a part of my life now. It's sad really.
Hattie would you ever get your eye liner tattooed? Have you considered it?
I had a friend in high school who had to have her eye liner on everyday and had said that she was gonna get it tattooed because she played sports so it would smudge off while breaking a sweat.
I have never been able to use the liquid eyeliner. My hands are shaky when I apply it, which makes me fix mistakes and I end up with to thick of a line. This bums me out because I think it gives a sharper line than the pencil. Maybe I will give it a go again.
Whatever Whore!
Can you imagine how painful it would be to get a tattoo around your eye? Oh my lord. Owie.
Over the last couple of years I've gotten really sensitive skin on my face. I wear a lot of eye make up usually, but my eyes don't like it at the moment, it is spring too so my hayfever is playing up.
I want to get some nice maternity clothes. And I need a new handbag. I'm thinking either a satchel type thing or maybe even try and find a stylish back pack. My back has been getting really sore and I have a giant shoulder bag I fill with way too much crap, I don't think it's helping my back at all.
You should definitely go for a backpack. Not to scare you or anything, but ever since my mom had my sister her back's been acting up A LOT. So do anything to balance the weight you want to carry. In a few months, the baby's gonna get heavy and you won't like a one-shoulder bag.
Get a bag that the bloke would look good with so he can carry it
hehe
A back pack isn't that much better if you're carrying around a lot of stuff. My back actually has a bruise from my backpack right now. It really hurts. I switch around throughout the week between handbags, satchels, and backpacks.
Did you need this bag for everyday use Sarah?
Yeah, to use like a handbag. Hopefully in the new year I'll have the car to drive most of the time so I can keep most of my bag crap in that.
Since you're busing it like I am I suggest a backpack for the heavy duty stuff you need to lug around. Depending on where I'm going I might also have a small purse for easy access to the things I need without having to zip and unzip and dig around looking for something I need right away. I believe in lots of pockets, bags within bags, coin purses within wallets. You would think my bag was Mary Poppins magic carpet bag and also reminds me of those Russian nesting dolls

I suggest in investing in a really good backpack too. I have a really good Jansport bag that I rarely use anymore but it had amazing, comfortable shoulder straps which took a lot of the strain off.
Also I've been in uber girly mode for the past couple months. My girly moment for today is that I'm watching The Sorceror's Apprentice for the umpteenth time because I find it romantic..............Something is going horribly wrong with me.
This probably should've went in the Embarrassing Admissions and Confessions thread.

My girlfriend is selling this stuff that is called My Thirtyone Bags. I hosted an online party for her. I ended up getting to order a $100 of free stuff. This is the bag I ordered. It should be coming in the mail today!! I was also able to get discounts from my party. So I bought $350 worth of stuff for $95! I ordered my daugter a makeup bag and a purse with her initial embroirdered on it for Christmas. You should check their stuff out. Prices arent to bad and the stuff is really girly. The name say it all....bags, bags and more bags.
Whatever Whore!
Gap outlet is having a huge sweater sale through tomorrow. I went the other day and got like ten sweaters for $200.

I wish we had the Gap.
I just used a primer for the first time and all I can say is that I'll save every penny if I need to, to get one. It works beautifully and smooths the skin and is overall AMAZING!
I had a friend in high school who had to have her eye liner on everyday and had said that she was gonna get it tattooed because she played sports so it would smudge off while breaking a sweat.
Hell no!
Did she get it done in the end?
This whole thread is so wow.
I just got so excited I love pretty/lovely/girly things.
I like these Chanel top cover things.

And this dress, though I'm not sure who it's by?

I absolute adore this from Christian Lacroix, haute couture from 2007.

I have to say by far this Alexander Mcqueen dress makes me drool.

Though I can't afford any of those gorgeous pieces I do want to find these leggings and wear them to a party really bad.

I'm also making a pair of black ones with galaxies and stars all over.
Like these shoes I customized, [sorry for bad lighting.]

And these heels I discovered through Felice Fawn.
I want them terribly.
I'm determined to make my heel collection larger.

I know you're not 100% a newbie, but you are a neat somewhat-newbie and I like you.
Aw that's wonderful. Thank you for such kindness. [: I like you as well.I'm coming to like quite a bit of the lot here. I just try not to be creepy & too forward with people.

I like you too, but I hope you're not as anorexic as that girl in the heels! I'd still like you, but worry about your health.
I like you as well Hattie!
She's actually a recovered anoretic. She's a wonderful photographer and does a bit of side modeling.
I'm not that small.
My health is meh. thank you though. [:

Mae, even after your break from the Cult, you're off to quite a start, especially for us who weren't here when you used to post. I wish I hadn't wasted my first year only posting in the book threads. I was such a boring newbie.

Niiiice.
I want them terribly.

I have pretty much those shoes. Different color though... sort of cream instead of black. They were a gift and I don't remember the brand or anything... POIDH, I know. I'll see what I can do.
Also, I approve you as well, new girl.

That dress needs to be in my closet. You're soo lucky about the shoes. I am getting a pair, I don't care how much they are. I'd wear them always and forever. Cream coloured would be lovely, I like sticking with black though unless they have a darker colour/design when it comes to shoes, especially heels. I guess it depends. Thank you for the approval. [: Glad I could win you culties over so far. [:
It does seem that way doesn't it? I remember hearing a lot of 'newbie horror stories' back when I first joined forever ago, but honestly I feel perfectly at home. Such clever, logical people that seem as equally distracted as myself. I'm probably boring in some aspect.

I wasn't made to feel unwelcome at all. In fact, the first week I joined I started talking to a Cultie I ended up visiting abroad this summer. I was just very shy and wary of posting any controversial stuff, or whatever. And then my brain melted and I posted in dress down for a few weeks and suddenly people liked me. I'm not proud, but I've thought a lot about it lately, now that my Cultiversary is approaching.
I feel completely welcome.
Happy early Cultiversary!!
I feel about the same. I'm shy I guess until I get my footing with everyone and feel out their boundaries in a non negative way. Plus I'm not one to bring up controversial stuff unless it's along the lines of science/astronomy/ some politics and planet conservation. I'd rather just watch things unfold.

Hottie, um, I mean Hahriett, bring your fist when you confront her. Some of the best punches I've ever seen were thrown by chickfists. Oh, but wait, you speak Queens English.
Cockney mouths are fun too though.
I feel more like I do now than I did before.
