I love the colour on those walls but I couldn't live there. The tentacle thingies are awesome though.

I saw the weirdest shit today. Ballet flats with fur lining. WHAT THE FUCK? Seriously. If it's ballet flats weather, it's not cold enough to need that fur, and if it's cold enough, get some goddamned boots.

I finally found boots for when it's rainy. They're light and brown and lace-up and pretty much all I've wanted.

So I went swimming last night and tried my new Speedo swimming cap. It's a piece of shite! What's the point of a swimming cap if it still gets your hair wet?

The reason I bought it was because I feel like my hair's thinning from washing it every day and I don't want to damage it even more with all the pool chlorine. Anyway, I don't think I'll bother wearing it again. I feel stupid in it.

I think swimming caps are for speed. Also you should rinse your hair before you go in the pool, condition it even, and another time afterward. My friend who played water polo would do this. She would also take 15(3-4) showers a day because she would dance after her water polo practice. Anyway but yeah I heard if you wet your hair with regular water before swimming the chlorine is not as harmful but I really wouldn't know for sure. My hair feels pretty dead right now and I think it's from the chlorine in the pool at the gym too. Sun damage too probably. On Saturday when I was getting ready to go out dancing it was so awful to work with. My hair is relatively healthy, usually , but it felt so dead and stiff. I couldn't run my fingers through it even after combing it. I'm trying to grow out my hair but I think I really need to trim it so it's healthy again.

Yeah, last night, feeling disgruntled after my swim I took to the internet to find out about combatting the chlorine issue and someone on a swimming blog (cool I know) said the same thing!

I really would like to not wash my hair everyday but I'm too vain. My curls turn into dreadlocks overnight if I don't!

Yes, it sounds like you need just a trim; I've been growing my hair since I was 13 and even though it's annoying getting it cut, it really does make a difference to the look and feel of your hair.

hehe yeah I'm thinking I need to go have my friend cut my hair to put some layers in it but since I don't have a car or much money to pay her I may just do it myself. The last time I trimmed it I didn't add any layers so the bulk of my hair is all clumped up, if that makes any sense, because it's pretty much one length.

You will not damage your hair by shampooing it everday, as long as you are not using a clarifying shampoo, which you should be using atleast once a week to strip your hair of the chlorine. But for everyday I would use a mild shampoo and conditioner. (Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner are wonderful for everyday) Also, I would apply a leave-in conditioner each time before you swim, to combat the chlorine from causing to much damage to your hair. I would also, once or twice a week shampoo and apply a deep conditioner and wrap your hair in towel for about 30 minutes then rinse out.
Dont mean to impose my opinions on you, but I'm a hairdresser and I have a tendency to jump in where hair is concerned. Hope you dont mind. Just trying to help out.Smile

If I had a more glamorous life, right now I'd be saving for the Versace collection at H&M which should hit lucky stores next month.

I bought lace-up boots for the rainy weather a couple weeks ago but I still can't find a bag I like.

Aren't some women just really f'ing manipulative?

My boyfriend and friends have been socialising with this woman that recently moved from Eastern Europe to London with her partner. I'd say they're both about 29 or 30 years old. I can't really tell. We met them through mutual friends about a month ago. She is one of those stuck up women that uses the pretence of being shy not to talk to you. Every time I have met her I've said hello, but never bothered initiating further conversation because she seemed so uninterested the first time round.

It is no secret she has a soft spot for my boyfriend, however. I don't mind her flirting because I trust him and he is in need of an ego boost at the moment, as she probably is too, but I really don't like how she told him that I didn't like her...which really isn't true. How can I not like someone who I've never really spoken to?? When I argued with my boyfriend he took her side, which I find quite unfair as I'm not an unfriendly person by nature. I bumped into her with my boyfriend on Saturday and said hello and asked how she was, and she completely averted her eyes and answered to my boyfriend instead! What a c--t!

Tomorrow night I'm going to confront her about her silly gossiping.

Ugh, how annoying. Her telling your boyfriend you don't like her, that's a strange thing to do. It's like implying you're jealous or something. Be careful about how you approach tomorrow night, but it sounds like you know what you're doing.

Total Cunt! No two ways about it. I would so confront her and put her in her place. She doesnt even know you well enough to know wether you like her or not, and certainly not well enough to be discussing this with your boyfriend. I would tell her to keep her self absorb nose to herself and cut the shit with the gossiping. What is she like 12?

I know I'm trolling my own thread but do you think there's somewhere online which prints photographs onto embroidery fabric?

I want to make an embroidery cushion with my cats on. (I know I'm lame).

I'm not sure how well it would work but I know they sell iron on sheets that you can use with a printer...can't remember if it needs to be ink jet or not. But you can probably use that to make an embroidery pattern. Do you have photoshop?

We'll if you have photoshop you can edit the picture of your cat's to make an easy pattern to embroider once printed out. I would probably use the filters such as the mosaic so you have a better idea of what colors go where when embroidering. I miss embroidering.

Here's an example of what you would want the picture to look like before embroidering. I went to the filter-->pixelate--->mosaic and it'll ask you what size so depending on the size of the picture you might want to mess around with printing and checking out what size would work best for the stitch look you want to achieve.
