Getting to know your RBC

I just had a tetris game that belongs on sportscenter. If I video taped it, it would be a youtube instant classic. Unfortunately the game was on my Radica hand held version so there will be no replays. Only the story told by the player himself.

I was preparing for my after lunch shit and grabbed my handheld tetris player as I do everyday. Let me tell you I have had higher scores. I have had more lines. I have had longer games but this game will never be repeated by anybody.

As I laid down the paper seat cover I noticed that my fingers were feeling good. I definitely had something going on. I sat down and felt pretty comfortable and started to play. As always the first 40 lines were boring but I could feel the rhythm in my movements. The tetris gods were not going to be easy on me though. I really needed a piece. The S type piece. Just as I started to build some momentum the gods decided they didn't want it to happen. With 60 rows I started getting s pieces. But they were facing the wrong direction. And I am not kidding 5 in a row. In a risk only a crafty veteran could make and get away with I thought quickly and plugged up my one chance of getting a tertis. Then placed the other four s's accordingly. I need some luck but my fingers were feeling very quick and my thought process was going extremely fast. Your novice tetris player would have hit the reset button but not me. I thrive when the rows get high. At this point I was at the top. The very top. One wrong move and the game would be over. Only 3 rows were clear. And then 2. Then I got a row. and then another one. Then it built up again. It went like this. After six minutes I take a deep breath and realize that I am not alone. The stall next to me is occupied by a stinker. I have been in the none and didn't notice his presence. With the deep breath his presence couldn't be ignored. At this point I had 2 options. 1. Pause the game and leave the restroom. Finish the game at my desk. I am leaving this job in 4 days what are they going to do fire me. 2. Keep going and keep my rhythm. I decided to say the distractions would make this a Jordan type performance. [url]ftp://members.aol.com/BMC583/gethim.wav[/url] So I stayed. I keep getting the board lower and lower. The pieces are coming at an unrecognizable speed. 150 lines. Level 15 and the board looks like I just started a new game. At this point I realized what I have just down. I took a board at the worst point possible and cleared it. This was legendary. The rest of the game went as expected. The gods decided to through me another loop at about 260 lines. At that speed not even the great ones can recover. I found 10 more lines and ended with 270 lines and a score of 34,630. This game was not a high score but will live in my heart forever.
