Culties as Art...Sort of
I'll change the thread title if you guys have any suggestions but I couldn't resist starting this thread already since I'm going through Sketch Project withdrawls.

I am the model for most of these posters.
I remember we did something similar a while back. It was either Pepper or Chenoa, I can't remember who. One of those NW ladies. Steve and I both had drawings, and I remember mine being pretty good.
I would not, however, be opposed to another drawing of me, being the slight narcissist that I am.

I did those, they were "sloppy five minute sketches" though I think many of the people I drew did not appriciate my doing so. I'd love to do more. Here the old ones are (I think this is all of the ones I did):

Which ones? I think one or two of them were new members maybe? Not sure if they stuck around. At the time I think I just went through whatever pictures had been posted in that months picture thread and drew those people. No, actually most of them were requests, then a few were just random out of the picture thread.
It is a mystery, maybe someone else can identify them.
Okay, its as finished as its gonna be. The shadow on the left side of the chin is driving me cuhrazy, but I can't find a kneaded eraser, so I can't fix it. balls.
It might be a little distorted, I'll try to get a scan of it later.
And normally I wouldn't post the photo for comparison but Matty thinks I've been too generous. He said, "You've definitely made me look heaps more gorgeous than I actually am." I may have made him look a little older and a given him a tad more defined facial structure, which I didn't mean to do, but I think its pretty close.
Of course now that I've posted it I'm seeing a ton more things wrong with it, grr. I hate being a perfectionist.

Matt is definitely a good looking guy, but I think the thing that is hard to capture in drawing is that Matt has this sort of raw/rugged look to him. A sort of primal atmosphere.
