Cultie Talent Show

These are fantastic. You rule.
Aww, you do care!
Nick, that furniture is lovely.
I wwant to buy that chair.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Thanks guys, and that chair is actually for sale, or it was at least. I think etsy took it down for it being up too long. I'll have to re-list it along with a couple other things. It's surprisingly cheap, but professional photography is expensive.

Give us your etsy link. liking your work a lot!
This is why we can't have nice things.
lots of people posted some kind of poetry, so uh, here's something I wrote a few years ago. I am not much of a poetry person, and I don't really write much anymore...but yeah.
a dialogue
you impress upon me
a sweet reverie
sweetly and heavily.
my word, you sing my heart such a melody!
and all the while,
it was all the while
wait a while
it was always rhapsody
it catches and encompasses
in gentle breaths and exhales
with soft resonance
and legato phrases
and diminuendo until rest
no two notes the same,
i launched myself upon your balustrade.
hoping you'd take me.
but what was that note you sang?
fleeting, she said.
as a breath, he replied.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
I like it.
thank you, pep.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
Um sorry, i don't draw people. Jazmyn will only be the third person i've drawn. Not counting the fools in drawing class a few years back.
I have a very nice jewelry case I need to put up as well. It looks nice in my house, but I'm beyond broke.

Yes. Yours is lovely too. I actually did like it but forgot to comment.
But if you are drawing culties next, I am becoming a bit indifferent to those sorts of drawings. I've drawn nearly the whole lot of you and not one scribble even of me has been made! Not One! You all just pretend to love me.
Blatantly false. Blatantly.

I'm 23 hours into today and this drawing was the very best part of it.
I laughed audibly.
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."

That's just a couple and I've got a bunch more on my site. www.nickdoremus.com or if anybody wants to see more here that's cool too.
Christ.
Do you have a picture of the chess set you made a year or so ago?
I think that's closer to over two years now, but I can't seem to find it. I wouldn't really consider that to be very good anymore. Relatively, I didn't really know what I was doing then.

See you guise? THIS is talent.
I want all the things.
This is why we can't have nice things.
This is a little motivational speech I gave my friend today, and I just turned it into a poem.
"We are warriors"
We are warriors.
In this life
we are chased
by foul beasts
who seek only
to have our souls;
to undo us,
leave us
as naught but waste,
rotting in the sands.
But we are warriors.
We shall triumph.
If you fight,
I fight.
If you fall
and can’t find your heart,
I will hoist you
from the earth
and take you away
to safer lands.
Promise me, warrior,
that you will never
give up, never
give in, never
close your eyes.
Accept only victory
because that, my dear,
is all we have.
That is really great Chris. I want to be reminded things like that all the time by good friends too.
I found this poem today that Zachariah wrote for me last mothers day.
(my little kid has talent)
Web
A fragile dangling web
Above dark eerie water
In a misty forest
Snatches a delicate butterfly
Also, this. It was gonna be longer, but then I looked at it, and I was like, why?
Going Nowhere
It took me half an hour
to watch a beetle go nowhere,
which is less time than I spend
watching people do the same.

That's awesome. How old is he again?
He just turned ten last month. He wrote that about a year ago.
Damn, that's cool.
Chris I love this! I especially like the part about "If you cant find your heart I will hoist you from the earth and take you away to safer lands." Beautiful!
Whatever Whore!
Thanks a million!
I call this 'The Work-Out' or 'Working Out'. I haven't decided.
I am so tired. I am so beat.
I did nothing today but work out in cold heat.
I am so exhausted. I am so spent.
All I did all day was work out in a tent.
I just don't have the will to try anymore,
as I watch my work out stains dry on the floor.
So why should I even put myself through the trouble?
I've worked out all day and only worked on one muscle.
So now there is nothing to do next but be sore,
because my muscle is dead and can not flex anymore.
Part Two!
My sweat smells like shame! My flesh, it is drenched!
From abuse for a thirst that just can not be quenched!
I am still unsatisfied, from an exercise so vigorous,
for un-pacified tissue beaten so rigorous!
And yet I am still not physically gamed!
Just ridiculous, sick and ashamed!
So just one more set, then I'll try to leave it alone,
but I just want my muscle to stop becoming a bone!!!!!

I humbly retract my previous statement.
Yay! I've been immortalized! At last!
