So is it still to early to start throwing out idears for the next meetup? If not, can we please sticky this thread and let out imaginations run wild (except for Morey, who's imagination I'm afraid of).
Stuck.
Would be funny to see, twenty, thirty Americans all huddled together in a 'foreign world'.
Oh you.
Cult Meetup 3 - Cultists Take Europe.
if we got in trouble over there all we gotta do is find the US embassy to get out of it right ?
blame it on the terrorists.
yeah, because i'm sure everyone has the cash to blow on an overseas trip.
back on track: so the list so far looks something like this:
san fran
new orleans
pittsburgh
anywhere in texas
yeah, because i'm sure everyone has the cash to blow on an overseas trip.
quit being such a negative nancy. not everyone has the cash to go to indiana, or new york or california, but we're just ignoring their suggestions and keeping the conversation strictly to those willing to sell a child to feed our cult frenzy.
yeah, because i'm sure everyone has the cash to blow on an overseas trip.
its a small world after all and its only money ! take the next 7 months to save up for it if need be how many other chances are you gonna have an excuse to go to the old world
back on track: so the list so far looks something like this:

really i dont care about going to any of these
the only thing that scares me about cali is if i go im gonna make the cross country drive there which would be cool because i could pick people up along the way but what happenes if as soon as i get across the border some illegal latino shoots my car up in some road rage shit ! what then !!
Take it easy there, what's with the setting in stone already. Let it grow for a while.
i know, i am, the list is just updating for people who don't want to backtrack through 5 pages of posts. i'm just tossing in the cities that've had more than 1 person think it's a good idear.

I dont think he is there anymore. I think he actually gave some old person a heart attack. I thought he was great.
fuel to the fire.
City Lights books store is in North Beach (SF). Lawerence Ferlinghetti (sp?) still wanders around his store!

Point tooken.
i'll leave the actual poll thread for vig or whoever to take care of later. i think we should get a good eight to ten cities with multiple nominations first, though.

There can be no off topic posts in this thread Cassun! That means we must shoot a short film at the next meetup and it should involve a high-priced coffee joint. And a hairless hamster with jingley balls and . . .

I say we go for summertime. More vacation time for working people and lot more planning available beforehand.
did you like?
It's morbid in a quaint sort of way.
VP - Workshop Dog
but morbidly funny, no? can you imagine it with legos?
before june! i'm going to alaska again in june. that's why i missed the last one.
but morbidly funny, no? can you imagine it with legos?
Oh, I forgot the legos. That makes it funny.
I'm serious though. A scripted short film project plus outrageous outtakes is a must for the next meetup.

holy shit thats it ! cult meet up in Alaska ! ive always wanted to drop by there for a trip and we can all show up on popcultjunkies doorstep looking for a place to crash and then go hunting kodiak bears with our bare hands !

you, judy and I should get together and chat. he and i have gone over so many ideas for things to work on. i think there's like 10 threads in the amateur filmmakers group that you should check out.

It was in July actually. And I'd say July would be a good time to have it again. Although May sounds good too. Too many people take vacations in June (parents and their little schoolchildren) so fighting with the soccer moms at the airport doesn't exactly thrill me too much.

i guess it depends on where we go. if we choose new orleans or savannah, i'd rather not go in june. if we pick some where a bit cooler, then the summer would be great.

Yeah, it is pretty much dependant on where we go more than anything. Although San Fran or anywhere central/northern Cali would be fine whenever methinks.

alaska is great in the summertime. there are tons of tourists though so i doubt we'd all fit.
