I say we start worrying about it after the New Year, when all the major festivities are over and people might have an inkling as to what they're doing over the summer to be able to plan out making the meetup.

i would agree under normal circumstances, but if i remember correctly, there isn't a 100% chance that the general discussion will remain free forever, so I figure to start the conversation while more than just the handful of paying folks (ie: the bulk of those who'd go to the meetup regardless) are around to talk about it.
