Creative Thread
Yes, most of my threads are picture threads, but that should be self explanatory.
I know you guys are all creative, I've seen some of it. Now show me more!
in a non dirty manner, that is...
I put these in another thread, but I don't have any new pictures yet, so I'll just stick with these for now.

I miss drawing. I've been getting the itch to start doing it again lately though.
This is probably my favorite thing i've ever done and it was UGH eighteen years ago!

That's amazing Nate. I wish you would do mini comics from time to time.

NATE. You mentioned to me you were thinking about doing a drawing thread. Now we've seen the skillz, you must do it. I am so impressed!

Holy fuck dude.
Step back. Evaluate. Recognize.
I can't comment on how good Nate's art is cos I'm jealous of his talents! I'm not even kidding.
I think he posted a smaller version of that drawing so I didn't realize how amazing it really was. I'm jealous too. I'll still post my crappy sketches though.
I did these on my train ride.

Nothing special.
They're beautiful.
Jaz, those are awesome. I love that you used color with the last couple of sketches.
Nate, start drawing again.
i'm not much of an artist in the drawing sense. i use to love to draw, but i was never much good. i ended up doing engineering/architectual drawing, which is hardly the same. but now my art reachs mostly to music and writing. but here's a couple of little things.
this is a silly little stick-figure drawing i made for my brother. he got it tattooed on his ribs, along with little stick figures of all the family, done by each member; he's a sweetie.

and here's a 'poster' i made up for a silly old rock n roll band i was in. we went nowhere. but it sure was fun.

and here's the vagina chart a friend of mine drew. creative, no?

HAhaha oh matt. I love your stick figure and dirty women but you just had to put the vagina chart in here didn't you?! hahaha I'm trying to remember the numbers! I think I have a better idea which number/s I am though now.
I can't draw. BUT I got irritated with all my pretentious arty friends, so I started an account on an art website under the name Jacques de Lumniere and posted these, with original artist's notes intact:
The Playfullness of the Moth

A shocking image of repressed passion. I won't insult you by listing the obvious alliterrations to Danté's Inferno.
Evolution of Homo-Sapiens

An utterly spellbinding portrayal of evolution through the ages. You'll never trust genetics again. Pulsating with genius.
Melancholy of the Duck

In many ways, this piece represents the turmoil of the Vietnam War.
This is probably my favorite thing i've ever done and it was UGH eighteen years ago!

Ummmm, yes, keep drawing!

this is the funniest thing to turn up here in a while. you've got a great sense of humour, Jack. do people get to comment on your 'pieces', because it would be hilarious to hear what some jackass artist has to say about that stuff. wouldn't it be perfect if they actually took it seriously?
This is probably my favorite thing i've ever done and it was UGH eighteen years ago!

Ummmm, yes, keep drawing!
concurring big time. shit, Nate, that's talent, mate. write a comic damnit!
I got general bafflement with the occasional death threat, e.g. "Please die." Time well spent.
Seems like it was well worth it then!
Hah, Jack, neat.
I will have to post some sketches. The most recent ones are in one of those drawing threads.
My boyfriend made this yesterday, which I thought was really good, considering it didn't take him that long to make...
that was so damn cool!
TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND I SAY HE IS COOL. NOW! DO IT NOW!
That was great.
Aww, maybe I should get him to join the Cult?
(so he can post these things himself)

You decorated it, or you built it and then decorated it? Because one is nifty, the other would be really impressive.
I just decorated it.
but thank you!

Sure! why the hell not!
but did you tell him, did you tell him?

nice to see a young person still buying CDs. lovely.

I thought "Oh wow, she has Interpol's 'Antics,'" but upon closer inspection it's a High School Musical cd. Thumbs down.

I want to do a drawring thread but i'm kinda ascared. It's been almost two decades since i did any real drawing like that. it's gonna suck at first!
Other things I'm still procrastinating on: Building my own violin and getting some canvas to start painting.
Some day.
Buncha fuckin' philistines out there.
If you start a drawing thread - we will be able to see your transformation from just good to awesome again!
or, from fucking brilliant to disgustingly amazing.
come on, Nate, do it!
you should definitely make a thread, nate.
i'd like to get back into drawing too. i should buy a sketchpad and stuff seeing as i have all this free time on my hands at the moment.. can we have an artist's workshop like the writers workshop? haha
Yeah, I vote for the thread, too, Nate.
Maybe if we just start making request...

HAHAHA.
yeah. I was waiting for someone to notice.
I liked to get my jam on.
I don't get why people don't buy CDs still.
You're a brighter little soul than all of the jaded people here. Never take them seriously. NEVER.
I don't buy CD's because I don't have the money to. However, I also don't get them off the Internet out of principle.
That's understandable.
Music is pretty expensive.
I think iTunes is the devil though.
1.29 for singles, yeah ok.
You're a brighter little soul than all of the jaded people here. Never take them seriously. NEVER.
so how do you get music?
I generally don't. My computer is fried anyway, so I can't upload CD's anymore. I just listen to what I've already accumulated, or I Youtube it, or something.
I made this for my friend's little girl. I got tons of stuff to do more, but I haven't felt the creative streak come back yet. I want a little girl of my own to make things like this for.

Nobody here likes photography except me I guess. I like taking pictures of Graffiti, Urban Decay, and Graveyards. I like to edit things a bit but I usually don't over do it.
I also like to do live concert photos when I'm not too inebriated at the shows I go to.
Here is one I get some pretty good comments on flickr for.

I like taking photographs, too, but not everyone gets what I'm going for so they're not well received! Gimme your flickr, Zach! I just started one and I only have like 5 photographs on there, but still.
It should be on my profile on here but here it is also. You can friend me on there. I haven't really posted stuff for a while as when I'm actually at home I try to stay away from the computer.

Done and done!
I love taking pictures, especially at the cemetery. Its so peaceful there and there are so many interesting things! I love it. I wouldn't say I'm good at it or anything, but its fun. I like doing the urban stuff too, but until recently I was never in an urban area long enough to take pictures. Here are a couple pics I took here in my parents town.

Also, I drew this stuff.
