Blog Photo
Hey gang,
Have any of you photos that could represent seeing life through a movie camera lens? I need something for my blog that runs along those lines, and I'm at a loss. As long as it isn't copyrighted please share. Thanks all.
Yes, Giggan, because stealing the work of others is fun. And illegal. And immoral. And because civil lawsuits and the resultant fines are always a blast. Publishing stolen work on your own blog will, at the very least, get your blog shut down. A cranky-pants photographer will sue you as well.
There are many stock, copyright-free websites where you can find, by category, photos for free use. Google "stock images free" or somesuch similar. There are also stock sites where you can buy license work for as low as, say, a dollar. Or you can get a camera, or a friend with one, and take one of your own.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Copying is not stealing, and propagating the idea that it is is an insult to anyone who has been the victim of actual theft. I've posted copyrighted articles and photos on my blog before. I find if you give credit to the source, they usually don't care, and/or appreciate that you're giving them what amounts to promotion.

Try that with someone who makes a living from their work. Some total stranger not part of your political clique.
I find they tend to be less generous about your "free promotion".

But this is all we ever do. Everything you think you are seeing has happened already before your brain registers it... you are witnessing an impression only.

The best way I can think of to represent this is with an over-the-shoulder shot of someone filming something.
Closest thing I found on google.
I don't deal with copywrongs and think whichever picture you choose, the auteur should be pleased in knowing that you're promoting his work.
