The leafy sea dragon, Phycodurus eques, is a marine fish related to the seahorse. It is the only member of the genus Phycodurus. These creatures are found around southern and western Australia and generally remain in shallow, temperate waters. Their name comes from their appearance, with long leaf-like protrusions coming from all over the body. These protrusions are not used for propulsion; they serve only as camouflage. The leafy sea dragon propels itself by means of a pectoral fin on the ridge of its neck and a dorsal fin on its back closer to the tail end. These small fins are almost completely transparent and difficult to see as they undulate minutely to move the creature sedately through the water, completing the illusion of floating seaweed.

Have you all heard of "Jellybean parrots?"
What they do is cut off the tails of cichlids and flowerhorns and then inject food coloring into them.
They look amazing but I'd never buy one. It's too fucking ruthless.

They also have "lipstick parrot cichlids." With these they tattoo the color onto the fish.

The last one was about six inches. But we had one when we first got married that was about a foot and a half long. One of the cats called it up to the top of the tank though (it swam to the top when it was splashed for feeding time) and he caught the panther grouper and ate part of it. Garrick was pretty upset that the fish died.

I LOVE sharks. The great white's gorgeous in its own way. I love the fact they're shaped like a torpedo.
A thresher shark. I love this shark 'cause its shape is so.. modern almost, haha. Looks kind of silly too, but yeah.

I love the Beta fishes. They're so prettyyy and easy to care for.

I had 7 fish at one point and they all died. My last fish left TONS of babies. They're growing up slowly, I'm curious what colors they'll turn out to be.
This is one of the fishies I used to have.
But yeah, I just don't UNDERSTAND fish. I'm stunned about how much caring they need. People say fish are easy pets. NO. 
I need a pet that I can cuddle with and that doesn't really work with fish.
