Anyone in the Columbus, Ohio area need furniture, appliances and cats?

I'm inviting everyone to my all-weekend open house/so-long party and
whole-house sale. Saturday, January 13--Sunday, June 14 - 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
BOTH days, 1783 West Third Avenue. Snacks, drinks and bargains galore
available (selling all my furniture, appliances, etc.)! I also need homes
for my 2 tortoise-shell cats. Cameron's going to be home from Central State
for the long weekend, and I'd like to get my older son Ben home for his 23rd
birthday on Sunday, but not sure if that will happen.

After years of struggling (as almost all single parents do), then finally
being able to refinance to fix up my falling-apart house, I became one of
the statistics in Ohio's disgraceful predatory (and fraudulent) loan
epidemic 1-1/2 years ago, and have lost my home of 14 years. The last two
years have just been one trauma after another. I have not been able to find
a regular full-time job or obtain private financing to save my home, despite
lots of work to do so. I have to be out of my house by Wednesday the 17th.

I have finally arrived at my plan for my future - I'm going to be winding up
my affairs here over the new few weeks, then I'm taking off in my van with
our dog Kojak, going to see relatives for a short while, then heading
somewhere else warmer. I'm researching the idea of going down to the New
Orleans area to help, if I can secure some work for housing option. I'll
also be working on my autobiography ("How a Midwestern Grandview Girl grew
up to be Homeless, in 1001 Easy Steps...but then discovered great new
adventures" )

Anyway, I want to say goodbye to everyone, and really need to get rid of
most of my belongings, hence the open house this weekend. I'm putting
together a list of everything I have for sale and will send that out later.
If any of you have kids who have visited Cameron's garage "hangout"...he
will need to get rid of all the furniture and decorations out there, also.
Since almost of all his "stuff" was gathered from curbside castoffs, I think
he can make some good deals for friends!
