Ailment Thread
The pharmacy just delivered a bottle of Cipro.
I thanked the man and called my Dr.'s office to see why the hell they ordered Cipro for me. Apparently I can has a bacterial infection.
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
Oh, what a silly way to find out!
No ailments for me today. I hope.
Hope you feel better soon Tuffy. And you're always welcome to hang out at my place... but you'd have to put up with two screaming kids... and a cat that's barfing up blood. Other than that, good times!

SNEEZE SNEEZE SNEEZE SNEEZE.
Sleepy.
Can I have some of that sun and flowers pls? Or just flowers.
Of course you can!
They're not nice flowers, just dandelions on the lawn.
Better than snow and cold. When I was little I used to make dandelion crowns. Those were the best.
But you've been dying to get snow!
I have, but it's enough now. I didn't ask for -15C during the day. Now it's snowing again.
I think dandelions are very nice flowers.
My ailment is that it is sunday and I have been awake since five am. WTF body?
I watched the sun creep its first little bit up from my front porch, so that was nice I guess.
I have had this perpetual dull headache since monday evening. It is starting to worry me. I sort of think it is stress, perhaps, it just sucks. I guess I have had too much on my mind, too much worrying me.
Numb hands! I had been getting them just when I'm sleeping, but now it's during the day too.
Last night I had bad calf spasms too, I don't think I had enough to drink yesterday.
Also, pain in my pubic area.
But I had hardly any heartburn at the moment, and that pain in my rib has pretty much gone. I think baby has dropped.
I remember the pubic pain. It was horrible.
I think it is a nerve thing and there isn't much you can do except try to get yourself in a position where the nerves are being pinched the least.
Awww Sarah the pubic pain is the worst. When I was pregnant with Jack it was the worst. The doctor told me that he was pushing on my pelvic floor and that was why it was so painful. Have you had it while walking? That will stop you in your tracks. I hope this gets better for you. It does sound like baby moon has dropped.
Whatever Whore!
I've had the occasional pang of groin pain, but this is kind of like a persistant ache now. I havn't noticed it too much while walking. I'll see how it goes at work next week.
I ate left over cake and a cupcake and had a lemonade/orange juice. That was waaaay too much sugar for me, and now I feel sick. I hope it's just too much sugar and not the tummy bug that's been going around work.
Yeah no need for the bug.
Whatever Whore!
Anthony sat on my sciatic nerve the last 4 weeks and it was miserable, especially at night when I was trying to sleep. Ugh, I hate that you're feeling that groin pain, Sarah...it sucks.
I'm so tired today. I went to bed at 1:30 and the damn dog woke me up at 5 because he wouldn't stop licking himself very loudly and I'm a light sleeper. I told him to stop, and he would, then as soon as I'd drop off again, I'd hear SLURP SLURP SLURP. Dogs are disgusting animals. Why can't they be calm and low maintenance and not annoying like cats? Dogs are hyper and loud and whiny when you're busy and they smell bad and they eat shit. Some of them literally eat shit, like ours does. He eats the cat shit out of the litter box sometimes. Fucking gross. And then he's all like HERPA DERP LET ME WAG MY TONGUE ALL OVER THE PLACE AND TRY TO LICK YOU AND GET IN YOUR FACE WITH MY GERMY SHIT BREATH.
That's a PA I guess, but like I said I'm tired.
I'm with you on the dog rant Alecia.
I enjoyed reading Alecia's post.
I love dogs! My cat is very dog-like, loud and demanding and really in your face. I have woken up with his nose touching my nose and him just STARING. It's really creepy. He wakes me up all night, meowing and climbing all over me. I kind of hate him but he's also awesome.
I have a real cold =( My throat is hurting, my ears are hurting, my brain feels swollen. Wah.
I came down with a high fever around midnight last night. Tossed and turned all night in pain.
Never got up to take anything for it, just tried to let it do its thing.
It broke around five thirty or so this morning, now I'm at about 99.0. Feel like crap.
I want coffee but there is no way that will help. Curled up on the couch with a blankie. I think I should go back to sleep.
Get well soon Pepper! Hopefully just a 24 hour bug.
Whatever Whore!
So, my right foot's been asleep since i come out of surgery. Dr. says, "Oh, that'll either come back or it won't," which is, you know, encouraging.

Oh my god.
Trying to sleep and the damn phone keeps ringing.
The kids have all taken turns being sick over the past few days, throwing up but o fever. I haven't thrown up or felt like I was going to at all but having a temperature bites!
That is freaky about your foot.
By asleep, I hope you mean tingling. Tingling means feeling. I really hope that's what you mean. You are in my thoughts, Tuffy.
Pepper - get some chicken soup and vitamins in you STAT! Also, I hope James is home to take care of you.
Also, it was funny you should mention that the phone keeps ringing. I was thinking about calling you because I got off of jury duty early today.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
No, I am home taking care of myself. I'd have to be completely laid out and unable to even get up to pee on my own to ask him to stay home from work.
You should call me later this week!
Asleep as in you'd have to stomp really hard before I said Ow.

Pepper, I hope you feel better soon. Your nephew must've spread his germs to you at his party?
Tuffy, that sounds bad. I hope your foot comes right.
I think I've got Carpal Tunnel. Silly tingly numb fingers.
That is likely what happened, with my nephew and all.
Have you mentioned the numb hands to your midwife or doctor? With the pre diabetic stuff it would probably be a good idea to bring that up.
I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow. Then I have a anaesthetic assessment at the hospital in the afternoon. Next Wednesday I'm seeing the diabetes people at the hospital.
Before I bunged my knee up last year I'd pretty much never had to go to the hospital. Now it seems like every other week I have to go there for something.
I had my MRI on my back last week. The spine center called yesterday and said they found a Hurmongenoma(sp?)and that I have to get a bone scan in the morning. She kept telling me not to freak out over it because the majority of them are nothing, but it does need to be looked at. Well Im not really freaking out, because I have no idea what it is and Im not looking it up to find out. All I know is I hate having these test done. I had some real panic issues with the MRI last week. Oh well, wish me luck.
Whatever Whore!
So I slept most of today. Took a long nap after I sent the kids to school then another long nap after getting up for a couple of hours around noon.
I am feel almost 100% again.
Except that sort of slept too much grogginess.
I have to take my blood sugar levels 6 times a day.
I cried when the diabetic nurse told me.
She asked me if I was a vicitm of domestic abuse! I laughed.
And then I cried again.
This pregnancy is making me tired and silly. But I love this baby more than anything.
I feel like this for no real reason.

Post birthday blues?
Feel better, pup!
Thanks Hattie.

I've been unusually tired since school started. I get 7 hours of sleep every night, so that shouldn't be an issue.
I've been up for twenty hours every day, the last few weeks. I lay in bed from 5am-9am. I force my eyes closed, slow down my breathing, try not to think of anything. When it doesn't work I get up and workout again and have breakfast again and go for a walk. Every day is one and a half days.
I envy you. I wish I could sleep less, I could accomplish so many things. I've tried, but simply can't sleep less, or else I'm a wreck for the two following days.
I have something called a mixed state, aka manic dysphoria, i discovered yesterday. I was googling something for my mom's job because she inspects nursing homes and i stumbled on it. It means a manic episode and a depressive episode at the same time. Some of the symptoms are paranoia (which i'm good at), fits of rage, and auditory hallucinations. That explains the other night when i woke up to someone singing a really pretty song but THERE WAS NO SONG. I've had it for a really long time too because no matter how happy i've been, there was always this underlying melancholy to it. It's been way more intense since i got back from Reno though. I'm craaaaazy.
I feel bad for Frank and that puppy.
I've had a terrible headache all day. It's hurting all down my neck, I feel nauseated and tired. I have to go out tonight though and I've been looking forward to it so I really want the headache to piss off so I can at least enjoy it rather than feel like I'm getting through it.

But then he was like...

Ha I'm feeling better after getting some solid rest.

I'm really sorry for venting on here, but I'm going to anyway...
I definitly have gestational diabetes. So this means I have to inject insulin 5 times a day, and take my blood sugar readings 6 times a day.
I cried for two hours straight during the consultation I had today.
Baby is HUGE too.
On the positive side, it means that I get to have another scan next wednesday and bloke is coming with me. I'm happy about that.
Awes Sarah I'm sorry. I wish you hadn't cried today either. Your body does so many crazy things when your pregnant and on top of it your hormones are going wild too. When I was pregnant with my daughter Haily, the last month I broke out in this horrible rash everywhere. It itched so bad, especially at night. I was getting no sleep. Finally after a few days of no sleep I told my husband he had to take me to the Er. I was balling my eyes out and so sleep deprived. So at the Er the doctor comes in and looks at the rash and says "Yeah I think you have scabies." bugs? This made me cry even harder. Finally on Monday I seen the doc and he said I didn't have scanies, but a rash that you can develope near the end of your pregnancy. Something to do with antihistamines or something. I know this isn't the same as the gestational diabetes, but I'm just trying to make you feel better. It will be all worth it when that beautiful baby moon gets here and you have your body back to yourself. I really hope you feel better.
Whatever Whore!
Boo and yay Sarah.
Baby is almost here!
Thanks Winnie, your story helped. There are so many things going on, and I know I'm not the only pregnant lady with gestational diabetes.
The hardest thing for me about it all is that I'm no longer dealing with my midwife who I've been seeing for months, and after baby is born I'll have like 30 minutes of skin to skin time, and then she'll be taken from me to the neonatal unit for observation for at least a few hours. It's so unfair she'll have to be away from me (I'm tearing up writing this).
I know it's all for the benefit of the baby, but those bloody hormones makes it hard not to be emotional.
Better to get the crying out than have it turn into more stress in your body holding it in.
You're almost finished. Just hang in there. Look at all the brave things you are willing to go through already for your sweet little one, you are going to be a great mamma and this will all be a bittersweet story you get commiserate with other ladies with about one day.
Thanks Pepper.
I'm looking forward to when it's just a story to tell and not actually happening.
Plus, I might get baby sooner than expected, I'll most likely be induced well beofre my due date.

To my surprise and annoyance, after the last one it was very hard to do things that required focus. I had planned on catching up on so much reading and had a stack of movies I was sure I was finally going to watch, but I couldn't bring myself to get into any of it. I can't even remember at what point I came back to the Cult. I suspect my ramblings were even more disjointed than usual.
