My body is aching. I've been working 12+ hour days and trying to catch up on sleep. It's crazy but it feels good to be back in school and having a little job.
Yep, this could have been it.
Whatever Whore!
Roll on the tests.
Argh, I know I am lucky to live in a country with free healthcare, but it can be such a load of shit.
I had some bloodtests last Monday and hadn't heard anything from my doctor's so I rang them up. The receptionist said that they only call if there's a problem i.e. if you test positive for something. So I ask, was there anything abnormal about my results and they say yes but can't tell me over the phone. URGH!! So how was I supposed to know if they didn't call or write??!
Now I have to wait until Friday morning to find out what's wrong with me (or, what might be wrong with me).
I just really hope I'm not allergic to wine.
Aww booo. Hope they figure it out Hattie.
fook.

Drew has recurrent corneal erosion in his left eye and it's flaring up worse than it's ever been right now. He's tough, but he says this is the worst pain he's ever had in his life. It's awful, and the doctor's probably going to a procedure called stromal puncture once it's healed enough. He's been instructed to stay home from work the rest of the week and not look at a computer or words. He has a protective lens on his eye right now, like a contact. I took him in this morning as soon as they opened because it was so bad. His entire eye was swollen shut and he had a pounding headache, so they put morphine drops in his eye and replaced the lens and sent us home with more anti-biotics, Tylenol 3, a bunch of drops, and promethazine. He's basically not supposed to use his eye at all for the next 48 hours or so. That means keeping it covered with gauze and non-ouchie tape, changing it out when we do the drops and taking it off at night (so there's not constant pressure on it.) He's totally doped up, so that's good because he's mostly conked out which means he's not using that eye.
He scared me awhile ago. I got him up to eat a bit of dinner, and he was really woozy when he walked but he was really hungry so he wolfed it down (woofed?). Then he felt super nauseated on top of the dizzy and nearly passed out before I could get him back into our bed. That was scary...he's bigger and heavier than me, and he was like a sack of bricks.
I hope this passes quick and gets to healing up like it should. I will do anything to take care of him and do whatever he needs, but I hate that he's in this much pain. That's the worst part of it.
I'm setting the alarm on my phone tonight so I can wake up and keep his drops/meds on schedule. I'm a light sleeper anyway, so that'll be easy.
Get better, Drew.

Awwww Alecia, sorry that drew is having a bad eye. This sounds pretty serious. I think, when my sister Inlaw had paint stripper spill in her eyes, her eye doctor said that the eyes are one of the quickest healing parts on our bodies. I may be wrong on this, but I hope I'm not. I know while hers were healing, all she wanted to do was sleep, which I think is almost always whenever you are in pain. But it's the best because that is when your body heals. I hope your Drew feels better soon! Sending good healing vibes your way
Whatever Whore!
Oh man. You are such a good wife Alecia. I hope drew feels better.
I couldn't get through that post Alecia. After the first couple of sentences I got to squeamish. I feel like my sensory responses are ultra sensitive right now. Not sure why but sound and touch are super intensified.
I'm sad for Drew and Alecia. But you're such a good wife and woman, Alecia. He's in good hands.

My girlfriend has the exact same thing. If she fell asleep after drinking or left a fan on, she was in pain for days. It finally got so bad recently that she had the surgery (i'm not sure if it's the same as Drew's) where they scraped off her cornea and stabbed a needle into her eye for an hour. Then she was sent home with a contact and eye drops and painkillers and she didn't leave her bed for a week. It took a lot of work on both of our parts but she was finally able to get out of bed and somewhat function but her vision in that eye was still blurred.
Then recently we went swimming and drinking and the eye flared up again and it was much worse this time. She had to go back to do the surgery again, this time they scraped off all of the cornea and the surgery was more uncomfortable than the first one and she almost passed out 3 times. Her recovery this time was much more difficult and it definitely took a toll on us.
Now her eye is healed and she has to keep the contact in for one week and she says she can see fine except when she looks at a line or something, it's wider in one eye and thinner in her other eye.
Anyway, i know what you're going through, Alecia. It's not fun and you probably feel hopeless but i think you're stronger than i am but it's a tremendous amount of pain that doesn't go away for a while. But it will.
So aside from my scary period. I'm pretty sure I broke my knuckle about a month ago. My finger still looks pretty deformed and hurts when I hit it or touch it a certain way.
I'm sure the asshole you punched in the face had it coming.
Always.

MY knuckles are all pretty well busted. If I hit some of them in the right way i cant move my hand for a couple hours without a lot of pain. They just never healed right and I never went to a doctor.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
My eyes are all itchy and puffy. I forgot my sunglasses when I took Lucy to the pool yesterday. My eyelids are sunburnt and peeling. That's right, my eyelids.
I have an appointment with a dermatologist in 3 weeks.
I think I need to go to the doctors about my knee(s) they ache every night and keep me up sometimes. I noticed I could feel a strange grinding rubbing not good feeling when I bent them last night. Stupid knees. I guess I wobble them in my sleep and it wakes Xia up.

I hope both of you feel better soon.
I've been sick for the past week so I took today off of work and didn't present my speech because my voice is still not up to par. My body feels alright but I still have horrible congestion.
I hope you 3 feel better.
Whatever Whore!
It's not really an ailment but I'm so tired today. I'm one hour and a half in to my 4 hour bloody gap between lectures today. Then 3-5, then home. But geez, could sleep 12 hours.
I cut my toenails too short last night and now my toes hurt even in the lightest socks.
What would cause very severe but sporadic foot pain, going the outer length of the foot? Down that bone there?
I've been having this problem for a few month off and on, and really bad in recent weeks. It gets to the point where just standing or walking is excruciating. Like I empathize with the Little Mermaid by the end of the day.
It doesn't necessarily happen when I am on my feet a lot, just seems random and I have to put actual mental effort into standing in a way so that my weight goes on the ball and heel of my foot instead of the side.
Am I going to have to start wearing grandma shoes?
What is wrong with me!!! Whah!
I do that all the time--sorry

Do you have flat feet? I do. I have to buy new shoes a couple times a year (it helps) but it's getting to the point where if I tie my shoes, my feet are hurting by the end of the day.
My hip is killing me. A couple weeks ago, I fell asleep on the floor and my three-year-old thought that it would be funny to tackle me. So I had about 35 lbs of dead weight smash into me while sleeping and now I have pain up in my hip joint. This stinks because it is affecting my work-out schedule.
My feet hurt constantly now. They are super tender the moment I step on the floor. I'm not sure what that pain your getting is though pepper.
I feel even more ill than I did whilst working from home yesterday, so I took the day off. Slept most of the morning but woke up to a headache again. Have been drinking this hot blackcurrant drink with paracetamol every four hours but to no avail. FFS!

Hmm, this could mean a few things.
What sorts of shoes do you normally wear, Amber? Are the soles completely flat (like Converse or ballet pumps)?
I have quite flat feet and so try to wear orthotic insoles inside my shoes to lessen the pain. It does help.
I need to go to a doctor and have them fix my shoulder. This thing is a mess.

Possibly arthritis, even at your age.

Perhaps, Gout. Young folks get that very early, here in the South. For obvious reasons, rich fried food and heavy drinking, but there are other things eg. seafood (especially shrimp) that cause the build up of uric acid crystal. My felt exactly like a dislocated big toe. But it was gout. Pain and swelling similar to a dislocation, is what happened. Believe it or not, 20 cherries or a bottle of pure cherry juice will keep it at bay, accompanied with the no yummy foods (hell yeah I cheat at least thrice a week), gout diet.
I think it's just soreness from being on my feet all day. My boss has gout and he can't even walk I can walk, my feet are just tender from hustling throughout this big ass restaurant.
Yeah, to be sure it's tired overworked feet.
However, you can walk on gout. It just gets worse, until you can't.
I have medium/high arches. And wear boots or converse most days. I think it is when I wear the converse for a few days that it gets awful, so it could just be crappy shoes.
I'm a drinker, but I wouldn't call it heavy drinking. I am a heavy drinker compared to someone who does not drink I suppose, but nowhere near one of those people that scary drink.
I also drink a lot of juices and put effort into making sure I get good amouts of vitamin B and iron, as drinking causes deficiencies that are a huge contributing factor to liver damage. Because I am paranoid. Which has nothing to do with my feet.
I don't know what gout is.
She just told you! It's when you eat a lot shrimp that causes pee crystals to build up in your blood and makes your feet hurt like a motherfucker.
I don't eat shrimp.
You should be gellin' like Magellan, in that case.
I usually don't get headaches, but I was punched in the back of the head Monday and had a headache ever since. This sucks.
Why were you punched in the back of the head?

Did someone put a sign on your back?

Sparring with a new person. Had him in the corner. He slipped out, threw a hook, and hit me in the back of the head. And he hits hard.
Might want to get that checked out.
I wasn't paying attention to this before, but after I got hit with that frisbee last summer I think I'm developing a speech problem. Like, when I'm not super focused I keep using the wrong words before getting to say what I want. For example: "Give me that.. uh, house, door, JAR."
I don't know if I had this before, I never checked it, and I don't know if it's relatively normal or not. It doesn't happen all the time though.
Maybe it's because you use several languages daily? I do the same, and I know that's what causes it for me anyway.
Oh, that sounds reasonable. I hope that's it.
It happens to my friend too. She speaks French, Italian and English and sometimes she has such trouble thinking in English because she just wants to speak Italian (even though she's in French).
I'm pretty sure you mentioned that before Irina and we responded with what Imke said. So you might need to get your head checked or I just time traveled.

Maybe we both just needed someone to yell at.
