A Girly Thread For Girly Things
Haha, that commercial is awesome.
That cat ring is awesome!
Thanks!
I've never been super girlie, but over the years, I have accumulated a longer list of so-called girlie things that I have no problem liking.
When I hear "girlie," I think of the color pink, frilly dresses, sappy romance, and a certain inclination toward "Team Edward" vs. "Team Jacob." I don't really understand any of that, but to each his/her own.
Here's my version of girlie:
Gerbera Daisies (which I like to call simply elegant)

The Catmother of all Worldwide Cats
Well done with pointing out the kitty, that's all I noticed, haha.
And Zooey, Zooey, Zooey... Ugh, good God, is there is any woman I love more then Charlize Theron, it's that beauty.
who makes the best tank tops?

Imke- I think Christina Ricci is beautiful. What I used to love best about her was the natural curves. She's lost too much weight, but I still think she has a gorgeous innocent-looking face. I think the same thing about Scarlett Johansson.

Avril Lavigne, surprisingly enough.

From about 6 to 14 I had my tomboy years. I still definitely am one to an extent, but I think I felt girliest when I was Marla Singer for Halloween a few years ago.

Stumbled upon these. Automatically thought of this thread-
I have no idea!
I just saw the picture somewhere and saved it.
I love Mary Kate Olsen.
That Ashley's a bitch, though.

Yeah, fuck her. In all truth, i've never liked Ashley. Or, i mean, she's all right, but she's no Mary Kate.
Alecia if my eyes serve me right it looks like Betsey Johnson I like a lot of her stuff it reminds me of Cyndi Lauper mashed up with a Barbie doll.

I can be very girly at times, and just plain morbid and eccentric at others c:

Wasn't sure where to post this, so i picked here since we've been posting pictures of wondrous women. I think she is the most beautiful woman alive and when I grow up I will marry her.

i love that name too. i think i might name my daughter that if i have one.
Aww, that's sweet, naming your child after my wife.

hahaha that's if you ever get married you swinging bachelor you!
Lately, ain't nuthin' swingin' on this bachelor.
(I realize that's a double negative, and by it being one, then it means stuff is swinging, but I assure you, nothing is.)

Doing my makeup makes me feel a little better even when everything is going wrong.
SO HERE WE GO!

I don't have a vanity or a big mirror like a lot of girls, so I grab a party cup, put my markers on top of it, and put a little mirror on top of that. It works!

And after a little powder, some liquid eyeliner, chapstick, and an eensy bit o' blush...this happens!

makeup fuck yeah!

^This picture of me makes me laugh really hard, I doan care if you think it's gross.

CYNDI <3
I kind of really hate this thread. I don't think i've told anyone.
As a little girl I persuaded my mum to buy me some Magic Steps shoes from Clarks. Most girls in my class wore them but this didn't detract from their magic (this was slightly before the light up trainers era I think). They came with a key and there was a cute little keyhole in the sole. When you turned the key a little picture rotated on the underside of the shoe.
Here is the awesome and very 90s commercial for them:
Magic Steps shoes! I had some. The advert for this comes up in conversation with me at least once a year, always trying to remember the name of it and at some point finally exclaiming MAGIC STEPS!
I think I had these ones in black.

Squids aren't girly, stupid GIRL!
Ever seen Tentacruel?
You mentioned it in chat but you hate everything, it was like hearing the wind across the prairies.
This band, this song rhymes with their name so I've never listened to anything else by them; certain, I am, they were born to write and play this:
Why?
I'm a guy and I wear cardigans. Is that girly?
O, and girly picture...
I wear cardigans and I am all that is man.

I always wanted to carry off the androgynous look that all the skinny, flat-chested girls seem to master but it doesn't really suit my hourglass figure so I'm having to embrace my femininity (grudgingly).
I go through phases with nail painting (I can't stand when they chip) but this is my favourite colour...
