A Girly Thread For Girly Things
When I was a kid, I used to dance around in tutu's and use my bedsheets as ball gowns and I'd give my barbies makeovers at every given opportunity. When I was in middle school and high school, I would fight against being "girly." I thought, if I have a crush on every other boy, or I wear pink, I'm weak. However, I am a girl, and I do like romance, and I'm stronger than most, despite my femininity. So, screw it. I'm gonna "eep" when people kiss and I'm gonna "aww" at animals and teacups, at glitter and lace.

I love things that look Victorian. Tea cups, beds, blankets, whatever. If it's porcelain, floral, and trimmed in gold: I'll probably think it's pretty.

I think women are magical. That probably sounds weird, but I don't care. I think womens bodies, no matter the size, are fabulous. Beauty is beauty, to me. There's no black and white.

I like animals:

Shiny things, too:

And weird things:

Please contribute your favorite girly things, whether you're a lady or a gentleman.
I, as a girl, have never been quite girly, though now I am in some respects. Does that sound a bit too confusing ? Let me explain then:
When I was a little gal I always played with Lego, sometimes stuffed animals later (I always developed stories with intricate plots and actions, the animals were supposed-to-be characters), I never wore pink back then (later I did, as it was an optimistic colour for my taste, i dislike it now, therefore I don't wear it anymore
), I always watched neutral television programmes, never was a fan of Tom&Jerry, though they are cute.
Now, I mistake boys' clothes for girls' vestimentation, so I mostly choose unisex textiles. I have a romantic nature, but I don't allow it to take me to extremes, so I mostly prove to the loved ones my sentiments, instead of telling them bluntly the three words that turned movies into box office trademarks. I sometimes wear make-up and pretentiously choose jewelry, so I'm not a shopaholic.
Well, that's my confession to you
That should make a clear picture of my gender preferences.
Same here, I rebelled against being girly somewhere in secondary school, and I had a period my wardrobe didn't contain anything such as skirts or dresses. Then about two years ago I started wearing skirts and found myself reaallyy attracted to all sorts of dresses and tops and blouses that look much more feminine that anything I've ever worn. I guess it might be the influence of Gossip Girl (yes, I know), where I found Blair's style sort of the thing I wanted to look like 'when I grew up'. So now I'm a grown up, in some aspects, and find that the femininity I have (also being blessed with girly traits) is much more appealing to guys that the way I used to behave - a rebel, the girl who never wore other but straight jeans and such.
But. I don't like pink, I don't own any piece of clothing that is pink, I'm not particularly attracted by glittery stuff, though I like jewelry, nor by stuffed animals. I like kitties and usually babies make me go all 'aaaaw'. Anyway, I think there's much more to being a girl that being a man, and I don't mean just the cliche with giving birth, but the way a woman has to take care of herself to, you know, GLOW. That's something you don't find in make up or fashionable clothes, though they do help, but inside you. If you're happy with yourself, and like your girly side and wanna enhance its value, then you'll surely gonna glow. And not the Twilight sparkle sort of thing, but that light in your eyes and your complexion.

um...yeah. i don't know how girly this is but me and my brother used to play with stuffed animals probably until we were 16 or 17. we had several different "series" with these elaborate ongoing storylines and characters. every single stuffed animal had a distinct personality and a name. and it was so. much. fun. i still miss those days and it breaks my heart a little bit when i see that the dog's dragged one of my old stuffed animals out from the storage and mangled it.
I still have a stuffed animal. I don't actively play with it, but it's good for snuggles.
Also, I love pictures of cute kittens.
I guess I'm just girly on what I wear. I like skirts and cardigans. I've been wearing them for years. I only wear pants when I'm at home. The one pictured is too short for my taste but I love the color of her cardigan.

Green and pink are my favorite to wear.
I've also been a fan of Tarina Tarantino jewelry for quite some time.

Collecting urban vinyl has been a hobby of mine for a few years, Qees to be exact.

I also LOVE Minx Jewelry. I couldn't find a decent pic but here's a screenshot of things I have.

I also like fetish models. I WAS such a big fan of Masuimi Max but since the plastic surgery and cocaine busted nose, I no longer like her. I haven't found a model I like so much as I did her. I really do admire this pic of Bianca Beauchamp though. Her other pics are slutty but I think this is awesome.

I also like big Priscilla Presley hair that I can never have without dispensing a bottle of root lifter.

Red cap orandas are freaking cool. They are just so chubby and cute.

I love photography. I left my cheap little camera in Texas and my friend hasn't returned my other camera. So I kind of miss this.

I love bulldogs and black and blue Great Danes. I think I'll always own a bulldog throughout my life. I think I'd also own Great Danes too even though they can be very expensive to raise.

My preference in dog breeds aren't very girly but I think the way I treat my dogs can be.
It's very silly but I have no kids and in a way my pets are my kids. There's so many things I wanted to get this year but couldn't cause the dog needed training and "day care." Gosh it's so gay but it's necessary. It's pretty pricey but it's cheaper than leaving her alone at home to destroy the house.
I was excited before I even got Azura. I bought her collars that she would wear when she's fully grown. I'm still waiting for her to grow into this one.

Oh and that brings me to Tara McPherson. I really like Tara McPherson. Her art is wonderful and her style is fantastic! Her book is one of the things I wanted to get.

AND finally walking and jogging. Even if it's as late as midnight I must go out for a walk or jog. Now that winter is here I can't do this. I hate being cold. Not being able to do this is probably the reason I've been so irritable lately.

I don't know if any of you guys used the Mac "Hello Kitty" line, but they had absolutely the prettiest colors.

I think Eva Green is such a classic beauty, so feminine!

Christian Louboutin Heels!

Underwear, and hair, like this!
"...you want to be truly unselfish? Love someone or die for someone. Those are the only good deeds you can perform without any hope of personal gain."
I'm not very girly. I have no knowledge about cool girl stuff
But! I do dance around my room all the time.

What's girly porn like?

The notebook... isn't that a guide to getting laid.

(doing my hair like this^ asap)

I like nuzzling into a boys chest and feeling safe.
I'd do all those chicks, especially the two in the last picture.

I actually thought that. The you with boobs part.
I love horses. Especially Appaloosa ones. Appaloosa means something like "A Palouse horse". Palouse = this area where I am. We have a museum and everything!

Also Buckskin horses.

I don't know how much ya'll know about horsey things, but Buckskin is just a color thing. So is Roan, Dun, and Chestnut. But Quarter Horse is a breed, Thoroughbred is a breed. Appaloosa is sort of a color and a breed, though. I could go on and on about this, but I won't.
Look, ponies!

I grew up reading The Black Stallion books by Walter Farley. I've still got all of them, somewhere.

well, come on. Someone has to do it:

Dresses.

I believe Six has boobs... don't ruin this for me.

OMG, ME TOO! It took me forever to find the 16th book, but I still have all of them somewhere in storage.
I wasn't girly as a kid, with the exception of mud pies... but I only made those to throw at people. Hated skirts, dresses, and anything pink. I would take my sisters Barbies and put them in compromising situations with my GI Joes and Lego characters. I played soccer every day at recess and had more fun beating up boys than kissing them.
But a switch flipped in college and suddenly I was into pretty clothes, shoes, handbags, makeup, blah, blah, blah. I still get greasy working on my car, but now you'd never know it after I'm done because I spend however long it takes to get everything out from under my nails.
I LOVE Oscar de la Renta and Alexander McQueen dresses, although I'll probably never own one unless I happen across it in a thrift store and they don't know what they have. I have a collection of more affordable floor length dresses/gowns that I wear once and never have the excuse to wear again, but I refuse to part with any of them.

You'll need to see a healthcare provider to find out if christipants is right for you. If you're a man who uses nitrate drugs, like nitroglycerine (drugs commonly used for the treatment of chest pains), never take christipants. Your blood pressure could suddenly drop to an unsafe or life-threatening level. christipants must never be used by men taking nitrates of any kind, any time. Other medications may interact with christipants and change the way christipants works. Like many medications, your healthcare provider may have to adjust your initial christipants dosage if it doesn't produce the desired results or you're bothered by side effects. -monkeywright

I have favorite actresses. None are from the 21st century.

Mac makeup! I love their advertisements too. My mother was a make-up artist, taught me everything about it. But, I never wear it...

Interior Design is awesome!

Black and White everything.

And if I get married again, it will be like this:

And this:

Stacy London is my style-idol.

Sophia Loren is Sophia Loren, of course.

Lantana are my favorite flowers.

Next to roses.

And this, for my hair, nearly every day. It's the only thing that works on keeping the frizz away for HOURS.

HIGH HEELS. NO SUCH THING AS TOO MANY.
These are things I swear by, because they've been part of my beauty routine since I was about 17.
My base lipstick, Revlon #325, Toast of New York. I am never out of it, and I can blend it with pretty much anything.

L'Oreal Panoramic Curl Mascara, in brown/black.

Cover Girl Shimmering Sands eyeshadow.

Plain old original Oil of Olay. EVERY DAY, ladies. Use it every day.

And since I'm not getting any younger, I added this about 3 years ago.

I never considered myself to be girly, until at some point in time I suddenly realized I was. I'm still not as girly as a lot of other girls, but hey, it's something.
- Romance, yesh, I love it tons. Not a fan of romantic comedies though.

- Cute animals:
- Stuffed animals.
- I now also like cute clothes instead of just "cool".
- Fashion!
Ehm, I'm sure there's more!
EDIT_
Forgot about extreme make-up.
