My 2010 had a lot of ups and downs, but it was an important year - moved back to London, got my first 'career' job...

But what a shit year for movies!

My movie highs:
When You're Strange (The Doors doc)
Tamara Drewe (The best comedy to come out of the UK in ages)
Winter's Bone (not amazing, but certainly quite good)
Somewhere (not perfect, but enjoyable)
The Lovely Bones (see above)

Movie lows:
Inception (disappointing)
Avatar (terrible)

TV obsessions:
Dexter (which I was already watching)
Breaking Bad <3 <3

I never fall asleep during movies, so it says something that I dozed off during Avatar. It's probably also significant that I woke up an hour later and didn't really miss anything. They could have just snipped an hour out of the middle and they'd have had the same - but shorter - film.

My highlights include moving out of the place I shared with my ex in January; getting an awesome place of my own.

Joining the Cult in February.

Getting my kids back from their dad in June.

Stopping supporting my ex/ him moving back to MI in August.

Going on a few dates since then and spending lots of time with my kids.

2010 was incredible highs and lows

January--working two jobs, one of which was a diner until
found funding for my OWN restaurant, a long-time dream

February--worked hundreds of hours
March--worked hundreds of hours

April--partner's knee broke, lost restaurant Sad
struggled through

May--kept struggling working two part time jobs

June--end of financial rope

July--friend out in Pacific Northwest I hadn't seen in years contacted me.
Decided to move out there. Took kids and got on the greyhound.

August-disgusted with friend, not sure what the hell to do
couldn't find a job, almost left town. Instead offered
an incredible once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if I was
able to pass urinalysis and interview. Was skeptical.

Sept--passed on all accounts, moved in to multi-million dollar
property, for free, no strings attached. Started back to college.

October-spent this month writing college papers

November--spent this month writing college papers

December--spent some of this month writing college
papers, drinkin hot cocoa and lookin at christmas lights
with my kids. still livin large, no strings attached.

You went from moving via greyhound across states (if not country?) with children in tow to living in a multimillion dollar residence within a matter of months?

Live-in domestic, I'm guessing.
