16 Year Olds Unite!

I'm only sixteen for three more months. This last year went by really fast. Where is Adelheid now? And what about Unhygenix? These people have gone from the cult, and it's annoying. I wish they would stay and I could chat to them about their lives and such.

This year was one of boredom and reflection, I think. I probably spent most of the last 300 days doing fuck all. I'm surprised I'm not fat. Going on walks and shit is great. Other than that really, I'm doing nothing at the moment. Making a load of plans, and realising for anything to happen I need to start it. It's been a year of mental growth for me, I think.

When I joined the cult, which was practically a year ago, I was very much a "Fuck the world. Everything is pointless. Cancer means nothing. We all die. I hate the people in my life."- person, and now, well, I'm surprised nobody said fuck off. You all let me stay here. Or maybe I just stayed anyway. But now I'm starting to realise that maybe I'm only going to live once, and doing something is so much more fun than thinking about doing it. Or maybe it isn't. But that's what I want to start thinking. I got two little sentences recently, that I like very much. A step in the right direction everyday and live your life as if you were doomed to repeat it forever.

The world isn't a nice place, but my little world is, and I'm going to start living it from now. And I'll go on adventures and smoke cigarettes and talk to people more. They deserve that really. I'm going to treat everyone by listening to them and being a nice person. No more nastiness, and I'm barely going to lie at all.

That's got to be tough. Freshman year is difficult for most people. Stick to the few [I]good [/I] friends you can make and keep writing. Might as well improve in that area while everything else is sucky.

Ya well, all my friends from middle school are gone, they went to a different school. So im stuck in a crappy school with absolutely no one i know. Im makin it by i guess, but I wish there was like someone that was remotely like me. I guess im kinda singled out because no one wants to have a friend that killed their lord (which really ticks me off). And i wear alot of band shirts, and people don;t really like hardcore music like me, so im the odd one out.

i dont advertise my religion, but the thing is was I told [I]one[/I] of my friends and it spread like fuckin wildfire. It sucks ass.

Im not really anti social, but im not the kind of person that can walk up to someone and start a huge conversation. I'm tryin to work on being more friendly. But usually when im not doing work, im reading. Thats usually what im always doing, reading.

Yes, im still reading Chucks books, I actually have many to go, I am reading Haunted right now, I am going to read invisible monsters next, and when im done with all of Chuck's books, I am going to look into Bukowski, Vonnegut, and other authors.

Cool. I'm not a big fan of Bukowski, and Vonnegut annoys me a little bit. I haven't read a Chuck book in two or three years.

Maybe you liking this site alot is just because of the people. What are some authors you would reccomend? Are you excited for Rant?

I'm looking forward to Rant, but it's not a big thing for me.
My favourite authors include Alasdair Gray, A.M. Homes, Camus, Kierkegaard, Roland Barthes, H.P. Lovecraft, Michel Houellebecq, Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Joyce, Hubert Selby Jr, Walker Percy and a bunch of others I can't remember at the moment. Lovecraft was definitely my favourite when I was 14-15.
I think I stayed because it became habitual for me to post here when I had nothing to do. Anyways, as soon as I leave this apartment in a week's time, I'll have more things to do than waste my life online.

Well, as we speak, I am doing a project for my teacher on Survivor. I have to write 2 reports from 2 different standpoints. Of course, I have had this project for 2 months, and it is due tomorrow. And I am just starting it.

Sixteen, huh? I listened to a lot of Black Sabbath & Pink Floyd. Worked a crappy job at a burger joint. Played a lot of Nintendo. Thank Christ there was no such thing as the internet then. I would've been even more of a loser. (If that's possible.) The teen years suck big-time. Thank God that your twenties follow it immediately. Of course, the thirties suck pretty hard, too, though. So, it's a really narrow window of opportunity for good times.

No, I think it's great that all age groups are represented. I was just kind of surprised to find people so young doing this much reading. Especially the edgy type stuff like Chuck and some of the other writers that are featured prominently on the site. I'm just discovering a lot of these writers and I'm a geezer..
